The blessedness of walking in the fear of God and in the ways of the Lord cannot be overemphasized.\r\nAs we saw yesterday, the Bible teaches that wisdom begins with the fear of God.\r\n\r\nThe wisdom that results from walking in the fear of the Lord has many-sided benefits. We are going to consider some of these benefits as elaborated for us in the book of Psalm 128:1-4:\r\n
\u201cBlessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.\u00a0 \u00a0For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.\u00a0 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.\u00a0 Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD\u201d<\/h6>\r\nSo what are the benefits of walking in the fear of God according to the above passage?\r\n

  1. You will eat the fruit of your labour. In other words, your labour shall not be in vain. God will prosper you in all your endeavours and your labours will not only yield fruits, but you will eat of the fruits.<\/li>\r\n\t
  2. You shall be happy and satisfied with life. You will enjoy the blessings of the Lord<\/li>\r\n\t
  3. It will be well with you on all levels (physical health, spiritual health, and mental soundness)<\/li>\r\n\t
  4. Your wife and your children shall be fruitful and blessed.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\nThese are just a few of the benefits that await anyone who dares to walk in the fear of God.
