Today I would like to continue yesterday\u2019s theme about evangelism and discipleship. Let\u2019s have a look in the Bible to see what Jesus did to gather people into His team.<\/p>\r\n
As Jesus went on from there, he\u00a0<\/strong>saw<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector\u2019s booth. \u201cFollow me,\u201d he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.\u00a0<\/strong>(Mt.9:9)<\/p>\r\n Let\u2019s have a look at one more verse:<\/p>\r\n \u201cAs Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he\u00a0<\/strong>saw<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0two brothers; Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. \u201cCome, follow me,\u201d Jesus said, \u201cand I will make you fishers of men.\u201d<\/strong>(Mt.4:18-19)<\/p>\r\n I would like you to pay attention to the word\u00a0\u201cSAW\u201d<\/strong>, which has been mentioned here twice. Passing by, Jesus saw Matthew and two brothers – Peter and Andrew. Jesus had noticed them, somehow they attracted His attention, Jesus invited them to become a part of His team. If our aim is to reach out to people, make them disciples of Jesus and share the Gospel with them-and that is exactly what God commands us to do-we should understand that we will not be very successful unless we have a good team around us. That is why it is important to create a united team so that with the help of each other we can bring people to Jesus. It is a continuous process. We need wisdom and vision from God to make a good and successful team. It is vital to include the right people in a team.<\/p>\r\n My dear friend, it does not matter what your calling is or in which direction your work for God is going at the moment, but it is essential that you have a good team around you. So, as you move forward into the work God has called you to do, please pay attention to the people around you. Jesus saw people.
