During these past weeks we have been analysing Jesus\u2019 parable of talents. What abundance of precious wisdom, which is able not only to make us wise, but also to change so many things in our lives. There is just one thing necessary: we need to open our hearts and let the Spirit of God make us wise through the Word and be doers of the Word and not hearers only.\r\n\r\nIf we read this parable very carefully, we will see that it talks about accountability.\r\n<h6>\u201cAfter a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them\u201d\u00a0(Mathew,\u00a025:19).<\/h6>\r\nAs we see, after a long time the master returned to settle accounts with his servants.\r\n\r\nThe Lord is coming again! And this parable is prophetic. Jesus is our Lord and He is returning! When He comes back, He will reward every person as he or she deserves. Jesus also will condemn those who deserve it. Verse 19 says that the master came \u201eafter a long time\u201d. It means that Jesus is coming at the time when He won\u2019t be expected. But it also means we need to be alert. We must be alert!\r\n\r\nBesides, God rewards faithfulness. You might think today about the multitude of problems you have: problems at home, problems at work, health problems etc. And because of them you forget about your talents and about using them for the Kingdom of God.\r\n\r\nI want to say that we must be alert even when we have many great problems. Everybody has some kind of problems. But our love towards God is expressed when we serve Him under any circumstances and not just because He meets all of our needs; we serve Him because we love Him. We must serve Him not only when everything is going well, but also when the life is hard and unfair. When we do not have a desire to work and serve, we should find our motivation in the desire to be faithful to God and not fail Him.\r\n\r\nWhen Jesus will come, He will reward the faithful ones.\r\n\r\nI want you to see that\u00a0the master from the parable of talents equally rewarded the servant who made five more talents and the one who made two more talents. God does not criticize and does not condemn people who have been less fruitful, because He knows the story of their lives; He knows the circumstances and abilities of every one of us. Both servants were equally approved by their master.\r\n\r\nThe master said to the first servant:\r\n<h6>\u201cHis lord said to him, \u2018Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord\u00bb(Mathew, 25:21).<\/h6>\r\nThe master said the same words to the second servant:\r\n<h6>\u201cHis lord said to him, \u2018Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord\u00bb\u00a0(Mathew, 25:23).<\/h6>\r\nTheir lord did not reward them for how much fruit they had brought; he rewarded their faithfulness.\r\n\r\n<strong>\u00ab&#8230;<em>\u00a0<u>you have been faithful over a few things<\/u>\u00a0\u00bb.<\/em><\/strong>\r\n\r\nGod wants to see us faithful to our calling.
