The phrase \u201eJesus is Lord!\u201d is quite often used by the children of God. But being the children of God, we cannot treat this concept in a superficial or religious manner. The lordship of Jesus has a deep spiritual meaning. We should not casually proclaim or declare His lordship without the correct understanding of what it really implies. God wants us today to discover for ourselves what the true essence of the lordship of Jesus is and to act accordingly.\r\n\r\nI pray that the Lord would open our understanding and give us a revelation of how important this subject is.\r\n\r\nWhen we say that Jesus is Lord, – it means that His rule, power, authority and government embraces everyone and everything, including the enemy of the humanity \u2013 Satan. Satan hates everything that is the will of God; he loves what God hates and he hates what God loves.\r\n\r\nBut regardless of Satan\u2019s aggression and hostility,\u00a0<\/u>God has given us a command to demonstrate His lordship in the name of Jesus Christ in all the areas of our life. This is the calling or the assignment that God has given to humans. When we realize the importance of the lordship of Jesus Christ, we will be able to exercise this calling which God has given to us as His children. God desires His children to rule and reign on this earth.\r\n\r\nIt says in Genesis (1:28) that God gave the man an assignment:\r\n
\u00abThen God blessed them, and God said to them, \u201eBe fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth\u201d\u00bb.<\/h6>\r\nWe see here that God blessed the man and gave him some work to do in this life. First, God told the man to\u00a0be fruitful,<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0which means to create according to his likeness people like himself \u2013 the ones that know God and reflect His image and character.\r\n\r\nThen God told him to\u00a0multiply<\/u><\/strong>. It means that the number of people on this earth had to grow and spread the fruit of righteousness and purity that God had placed in the people He had created.\r\n\r\nThen God told the man to\u00a0fill the earth<\/u><\/strong>, to fill it to its fullness.\r\n\r\nAnd God did not stop there. He also told the first people to\u00a0subdue the earth<\/u><\/strong>. To subdue the earth means to destroy every hindrance, every power that rose against the will of God in this earth.\r\n\r\nBesides that, God told the man to have dominion\u00a0\u201dover the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth\u201d.<\/em>\u00a0Dominion implies ruling over the things you have been placed over. God wants us to rule and have dominion in all the areas of our life.\r\n\r\nGod knows that there are powers that rise against His goals and intentions for the earth, because God has blessed the mankind and has delegated to the people authority to rule and govern in His name.\r\n\r\nBut in order to do it effectively, we need to arm ourselves with the revelation of the lordship of Jesus.
