And, as we have been talking: it is impossible to experience God’s presence without a prayer.

Today, I would like to talk even more specifically about prayer. Not only prayer helps us enter God’s presence, it is a source for godly revelations.

We saw that the secret of success of Moses as a leader was the fact that he spent time with God. Moses became closer to God in his prayer and God became closer to him. Godly revelation is the fruit of such intimacy with God.

Due to the fact that Moses was with God, he heard from heaven and it helped him be successful.

“The LORD said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and stay here, and I will give you the tablets of stone, with the law and commands I have written for their instruction.” (Exodus 24:12)

Moses received messages from God because he spent time with Him.

If you want to be effective servant of God, whatever the quality of your ministry would be, you must learn to receive the messages from God.

God knows the needs of people whom you serve. He will always give you fresh manna that the people whom you serve would be fed and encouraged every day. If you want to be a successful Christian, allow God to give you a fresh word from heaven every day. Then you will always be fresh and fruitful.

Moses continually heard from heaven, God talked to him face to face like with a friend, because Moses was striving to be closer to God.

“The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent.” (Exodus 33:11)

“He said, “Listen to My words: “When a prophet of the LORD is among you, I reveal Myself to him in visions, I speak to him in dreams. But this is not true of My servant Moses; he is faithful in all My house. With him I speak face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD.” (Numbers 12:6-8a)

God spoke to Moses face to face, not in riddles and visions. Moses could clearly distinguish when it was God speaking and when not.

If Moses was able to become closer to God, then why should we not do it?

If a prayer is a source for godly revelations, then wisdom requires that anyone who is thirsty for His revelations approaches God in a prayer.

We shall continue tomorrow!

May God richly bless you and give you a revelation about the importance of prayers!

Pastor Rufus Ajiboye
Moses received messages from God because he spent time with Him.

If you want to be effective servant of God, whatever the quality of your ministry would be, you must learn to receive the messages from God.

God knows the needs of people whom you serve.
