The 2025 Night of Worship gathered pastors and churches from many Latvian cities – Riga, Salaspils, Ogre, \u0136egums, Jelgava, Tukums, Talsi, J\u016brmala, Madliena, Saurie\u0161i and others. It is not one church’s event but a Kingdom project: a shared evening of worship and intercession whose aim is to build an altar to the Lord – personally, in the family, in the church, and at the level of the whole nation.<\/p>\r\n

The message: An Altar to the Lord<\/h2>\r\n

The destiny of an individual, a family, a church and an entire nation depends on the altar – on the sacrifice that is offered. A nation can grow and be built up or collapse depending on which altar prevails in the land: the demonic one or God’s.<\/p>\r\n

God cares most about the state of His own altar. If the altar dedicated to God is in good condition, it does not matter how widespread demonic altars are – God will be glorified and the nation blessed. It is like light: however great the darkness, light drives it out.<\/p>\r\n

A full sacrifice, not «eggs»<\/h3>\r\n

God does not accept every sacrifice – He has specific criteria. It is impossible to build an altar pleasing to God if our motives are impure, if we put ourselves or our own blessing at the centre. A hen gives its owner eggs but stays alive – it gives, yet keeps living for its own will. Many gladly give God «eggs». But God seeks a full sacrifice – ourselves.<\/p>\r\n

Romans 12:1<\/strong> — Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship.<\/em><\/p>\r\n

God’s fire versus strange fire<\/h3>\r\n

When the altar is restored and in good condition, God’s fire comes down from heaven and consumes everything we place on it. There is also strange fire – an imitation of God’s fire that a person tries to produce himself. But we long for the fire God Himself gives, because it purifies and frees us from our own desires.<\/p>\r\n

Biblical examples of altars<\/h3>\r\n

Scripture shows that supernatural fire from heaven came only after an altar was built and a sacrifice offered. Samuel built an altar, and the Lord defeated the Philistines (1 Samuel 7). Elijah repaired the broken altar of the Lord – the effectiveness of the personal altar determines the effectiveness of the corporate one (1 Kings 18). David built an altar, and the plague stopped (2 Samuel 24). Abraham built an altar first wherever he went, and God Himself built an altar at Golgotha, giving the very best – Himself.<\/p>\r\n

2 Samuel 24:24<\/strong> — I will not sacrifice to the Lord my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing.<\/em><\/p>\r\n

The call<\/h3>\r\n

God is looking for people like Elijah, Samuel, David and Abraham who build and restore altars. Restore your personal altar and take responsibility for the place and people where God has set you. First offer yourself as a sacrifice – that is the greatest thing we can give God.<\/p>\r\n

I offer myself as a sacrifice. Forgive us, Lord, that at times we have let Your altar lie broken. Tonight we want to restore these broken altars – for ourselves, our families and our nation, in the name of Jesus Christ.<\/blockquote>\r\n
