The children may go to kindergarten, and we may sit down. I remember a Thursday evening service about eight years ago when Apostle Danny and Delia were with us, together with Teacher Irina. They are people of God with deep hearts, depth in God, and experience of ministry in many nations, including forbidden places. They carry the word of God.

It is a blessing to receive our guest. I ask us to open our hearts and worship the glory of God evident in his life. I am ready to receive God’s Word and even the sorrow that leads me to it. My life will not remain as it was. I will change and be transformed through God’s Word and God’s grace.

Greetings, hope, and one family

I am thankful that the Lord has allowed us to worship together. Among pastors I have met in many nations, Pastor Rufus is one of my favourite pastors in the world, a wonderful man of God. I believe Jesus is coming very soon. We will go home, never be separated again, and rejoice together in the presence of the Lord.

We receive greetings from Israel. Israel is alive because the God of Israel is alive and faithful to His covenant and His people. The Lord will protect His people. The Living Water congregation in Israel prays for and blesses us. Though they have not seen us, they love us and know that God’s children among the nations are one in spirit. Remember that we are one family. Let us praise the Lord.

Trusting God Through Trials

Trust when I do not understand

I begin with the question the Lord places before us.

Can I trust the Lord?

We say that we believe in God, but the highest level of faith is trust. Someone may be close to giving up. The word is clear: do not give up. Do not ever give up. Jesus is still Lord.

Many times I will face things I do not understand. The Lord once asked me whether I could trust Him even when I did not understand. After considering it, I answered that I could trust Him.

The test of trust

When difficult words are not understood

Many followed Jesus and were called disciples, yet they did not understand His teaching. His words were spirit and life, but many turned back rather than trusting Him.

John 6:53 53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. (KJV)

John 6:63 63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. (KJV)

John 6:66 66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. (KJV)

Peter remains with Jesus

After many left, Jesus asked the twelve whether they also would go away. The question reaches us as well.

John 6:67 67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? (KJV)

Simon Peter answered that Jesus has the words of eternal life. Where can I go except to the Lord?

John 6:68 68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. (KJV)

A solid foundation in uncertain times

Wars, rumours of wars, upheaval, and uncertainty mark the days in which we live. Nations, economies, family, and friends can all seem uncertain, yet Jesus Christ is constant and solid. He will stand forever.

Matthew 24:6-8 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. (KJV)

Philippians 2:11 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (KJV)

When I cannot trust anything else, I can trust the Lord, even when I do not understand.

Faith tested in difficulty

When everything is going well, it is easy to say that I have faith. Faith is tested when unexpected and very difficult times come and I do not know the next step. When I see God’s people go through hardship and hold on to Jesus with everything they have, I see true devotion.

Faith does not exempt me from suffering

The teaching that enough faith means I will have no problems is not true. Jesus said that I would have tribulation, while calling me to be of good cheer because He overcame the world.

John 16:33 33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (KJV)

Paul endured trials because of faith

Paul’s shipwrecks, beatings, dangers, and the snakebite were not evidence of weak faith. He endured them because of faith.

2 Corinthians 11:23-27 23 Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. 24 Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. 25 Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; 26 In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; 27 In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. (KJV)

Acts 27:44 44 And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land. (KJV)

Acts 28:3-5 3 And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand. 4 And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live. 5 And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm. (KJV)

When I walk with Jesus and believe Him whatever comes, the enemy will try to stop me. The more he fights, the more I must hold on to the Lord. I must not believe the lie that a believer who loves the Lord will never face problems.

Running to God in grief

While my wife and I were serving on a mission field in the Baltic nations and travelling from Latvia toward Lithuania, we received a call from America that our youngest son had died. We were broken and weak, but we did not become angry at God or say that we no longer loved Him. Rather than running from God, we ran to God because we needed His help.

Not everything in life is good. Storms, difficulties, and trials test whether I will trust the Lord. In difficult times I need God more than ever.

Readiness for uncertain days

I cannot guarantee that I will be alive tomorrow, next week, or next year. God promises eternity with Him. Because I do not know when my time will come, I need to be ready to meet the Lord whenever it comes.

God’s Promise and Its Conditions

Knowing that God carries me through

The promise begins with confidence: we know that God’s Word is true. All of God’s promises are yes and amen in Him. When I was an unbeliever, I felt alone in my problems. Since becoming a believer, I have not been alone. God carries me through.

2 Corinthians 1:20 20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. (KJV)

Some things must be faced, not avoided

I may want to go around difficulty or above it, but some things I must go through. When I pass through waters, rivers, or fire, the Lord is with me.

Isaiah 43:2 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. (KJV)

God works all things toward good

Romans 8:28 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (KJV)

This does not say that every circumstance is good. It says that all things work together for good. God can take a bad situation and turn it around for good. Every one of us could testify of something terrible through which God brought good.

Provision in a crisis

A pastor in Cuba received three containers of food from Canada each month to feed poor people. When the government stole two containers each month, the Canadian ministry stopped sending them. Brother Orson said the lack was not his problem: God had told him to feed the people, and if God did not supply it, he did not have it.

Someone gave him a large piece of land just outside Camagüey. He raised chickens and pigs and grew vegetables. One hundred chickens laid one hundred eggs each day, pigs had twelve or thirteen piglets, and vegetables grew everywhere. He fed four hundred people again. Even when animal feed was unavailable because the government would not sell it, he rested in God’s responsibility. He said he loved a crisis because that was when he saw the hand of God. I do not seek a crisis, but when one comes, God is more than able to carry me through.

The required response to the promise

This promise is not presented as applying indiscriminately to everyone. It is directed to God’s people and carries two conditions: I love God, and I am called according to His purpose.

The first condition: loving God

Loving God means more than saying the words. It includes love for fellow human beings. The love described is agape, God’s unconditional love. God is love, and His love must be received before I can give it back to Him or give it to others.

In this passage, John writes the word love twenty-six times. The love he describes comes from God.

Love received from God becomes love for others

1 John 4:7-21 7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. 13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. 15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19 We love him, because he first loved us. 20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. (KJV)

I may find someone difficult to love, even an enemy. I must return to God and ask Him to give me His love. When I receive it, I have love to give to God and to one another.

Loving a pastor, a church, church activities, or familiar people is not the same as loving God. The most important thing in life is to love God with all that I am and to love my neighbour as myself.

Mark 12:29-31 29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. (KJV)

Matthew 22:37-40 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (KJV)

If I am not a person of love, something is wrong. I can be religious like the Pharisees and Sadducees while love is not visible in me. Love is the great sign of Christian life.

Love is shown in obedience

God does not judge me by how many people were saved, healed, delivered, or raised from the dead through the Holy Spirit. God does those works. He looks at the love and obedience expressed in my life and asks what I have done with the Jesus placed within me.

John 14:15 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. (KJV)

My obedience displays my love.

The second condition: called according to His purpose

Every person has a God-given purpose. I can pursue education, marriage, family, and many directions in search of purpose, but still be empty. When I enter the purpose God has for me, I am satisfied within because I am doing His will.

Answering God’s call

Though I was the son of a Baptist minister, I did not come to faith until I was twenty-nine. At fifteen I said I would never preach. After I was saved, I still did not desire ministry because I had seen what my father endured.

I have said five times in my life that I would never do something, and now I have done all five. I believe that when I say I never will, God takes note and works to bring me to what I had refused.

While operating a crane in the Gulf of Mexico, I heard the Lord ask whether I would preach His gospel. In an open vision, I saw Jesus on the cross, bleeding beneath the crown of thorns. Before I could answer, Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, forgive Danny because he doesn’t know what he’s doing.” These were the words I heard in the vision. The recorded words of Jesus on the cross are:

Luke 23:34 34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. (KJV)

My heart was broken. Christ had given everything to save me and had not rejected me. I told the Lord that I would do whatever He asked. This is why I am in ministry: because I love the Lord.

Faithfulness to the end

One day God will look at my heart. I want to love Him enough to fulfil His purpose in my life. I want my church family to be successful in God’s kingdom and to fulfil that purpose daily. My heart’s cry is to hear this welcome.

Matthew 25:21 21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. (KJV)

Loving God Unconditionally

New mercies and provision along the way

Every morning God’s mercies are new. Yesterday’s mercies are not for today.

Lamentations 3:22-23 22 It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. (KJV)

Jesus has already made provision

After His resurrection, Jesus’ disciples fished all night without catching anything. At His instruction they cast the net on the other side and caught so many fish that they could scarcely bring them in. When they came to shore, Jesus already had fish and bread prepared. He did not even need the fish they had caught. Jesus has provision along the way, even when I cannot yet see or hold it.

John 21:1-14 1 After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself. 2 There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples. 3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing. 4 But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. 5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No. 6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. 7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher’s coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. 8 And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes. 9 As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread. 10 Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught. 11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken. 12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord. 13 Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise. 14 This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead. (KJV)

Jesus speaks plainly and keeps His word. He says what He means and means what He says.

Peter and the call to unconditional love

Peter’s threefold encounter

Jesus asked Simon Peter three times whether he loved Him and charged him to feed His lambs and sheep. The encounter addresses the condition of God’s love in my life.

John 21:15-17 15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. 16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. 17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. (KJV)

A love above all else

In English we use one word for love, whether we mean romantic love, love for our children, or love for a pastor. In the Greek wording, Jesus first asked Peter about God’s unconditional love, while Peter answered with brotherly love. Jesus asked this twice, and Peter answered twice with brotherly love. The third question met Peter at that answer, and Peter was grieved. From this encounter onward, Peter’s life changed. I am called to love the Lord more than the breath I breathe, more than the life I live, and more than anyone else in this life.

God’s love is everlasting, tender, personal, and intrinsic to His nature.

Jeremiah 31:3 3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. (KJV)

1 John 4:8 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. (KJV)

God does not merely perform loving actions. He is love. He desires personal time with me and wants me to be so full of Him that I love fellow believers and those who do not yet know Him.

Unconditional love reaches others

Evangelism, crusades, tent meetings, special services, visiting evangelists, and other methods can touch lives for Jesus. Yet the deeper place from which lives are touched is unconditional love. Jesus’ question to Peter is also His question to me: do I love God unconditionally?

Love expressed through time and presence

Courting the one I love

Love shows itself in attention: a call, a flower, a piece of jewellery, a surprise meal, or another thoughtful gift. The gift matters because someone thought of the person they love. Yet time and presence speak even more deeply. A woman may value a man who comes, stands with her, sits with her, talks with her, and spends time with her far more than a gift. In the humour of the illustration, this earns not one point but ten thousand.

Personal communion beyond ministry activity

I may travel, preach, see thousands saved, see people baptised with the Holy Ghost, witness instantaneous miracles, and see many healed. Yet this is not the deepest thing God wants from me. When I go away to be alone, call on Him, and tell Him that I love Him, His presence comes. I sense His arms around me because I took time to be with Him.

Surrender So Christ Lives Through Us

Moses sought God beyond position and miracles

Moses had power, position, jewels, and luxury. He could have become the next ruler of Egypt, but he came to seek the presence of God.

From the burning bush to the mountain

At the burning bush Moses asked who God was. Jesus said, “I AM THAT I AM,” and God began to reveal Himself. Moses objected that he was not eloquent and could not do what God asked.

Exodus 3:14 14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. (KJV)

Exodus 4:10 10 And Moses said unto the LORD, O my LORD, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. (KJV)

God patiently brought Moses onward. Three million or more were in the wilderness and received daily food, water, and provision, but Moses sought more than provision. He went up the mountain and stood for forty days in the presence of Jesus.

Exodus 24:18 18 And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights. (KJV)

Moses wanted God’s glory

Moses moved beyond miracles, power, position, acceptance, and rejection. He wanted God Almighty.

Exodus 33:18-23 18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. 19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. 20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. 21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: 22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: 23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen. (KJV)

God hid Moses in the rock, and we know that rock was Jesus. Moses saw God’s back parts. When Moses came down from the mountain, his face shone so brightly with the glory of Jesus that the people could not bear to look at him.

Exodus 34:29 29 And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him. (KJV)

God’s character becomes Moses’ concern

God revealed Himself as merciful, gracious, longsuffering, abundant in goodness and truth. This reveals the depth of His love for humanity, shown in Christ’s sacrifice.

Exodus 34:6-9 6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, 7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation. 8 And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped. 9 And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O LORD, let my LORD, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance. (KJV)

Moses worshipped and asked that the stiff-necked people be taken as God’s inheritance. Moses was no longer occupied with Moses. His concern had become God’s concern.

Surrendering my will so Christ can live through me

All I can truly control is my willingness to surrender my will of choice. I must die to who I am, to my dreams and desires, to my goals in life and ministry, and even to assignments God has given me. I die to what I want so that He may live through me.

Rivers of living water

John 7:38 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (KJV)

This is the meaning received for Rivers of Living Water International and Rivers of Living Water Israel: I am to express the character and nature of Christ so that others may be born again. This calling belongs to every believer, whether a housewife, missionary, pastor, secretary, bus driver, teacher, doctor, lawyer, or another worker.

Christ living through me

Galatians 2:20 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (KJV)

I heard Billy Graham preach many times. My parents listened to him as I was growing up, and I continued to hear him in my adult life and ministry. He was humble in spirit and loved God. He repeatedly said, “I cannot live the Christian life. But Christ through me can live it.” That is also what I say: I cannot live the Christian life by myself, but Christ can live it through me.

As I love the Lord with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength, I will love my neighbour as myself. The only place to receive this unconditional love is in Him.

Mark 12:30-31 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. (KJV)

Invitation and prayer

Receiving Jesus as Lord and Saviour

Do I know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour?

If I do not know Jesus as Lord, I will never know Him as Saviour, because He must be Lord of my life to become my Saviour. If Jesus needs to come and live within my heart for real, I may receive Him as Lord and Saviour.

Prayer of surrender

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I ask You this day to forgive me of all the sins of my life. Today I ask You, Lord, not only to save me, but I surrender my life to Your full control. You are now my Lord and Saviour.

Father, by Your grace, I desire to serve You every day until I see You face to face, Lord. I thank You for it. In the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

Prayer for deeper fellowship with God

Father, I pray that You take us day by day into a deeper place in Your presence. We know You are coming, and we know it is soon.

King James Version, Project Gutenberg

Preacher: Danny and Delia Hale Livestream: youtu.be/uCbdVje7WSs Welcome and Receiving the Word Gratitude, guests, and…
[488

post-41520","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-dievkalpojumu-parskats
["https://satchurch.lv/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/2026-10-18-uzticies-dievam-parbaudijumos-piepildi-vina-nodomu-romiesiem-8-28-en-1024x576.webp",1024,576,true
["GET
