Thank God for one more opportunity to be filled with His living Word!\r\n\r\nYesterday we started talking about God revealing His will only to those that desperately seek him. God reveals His secrets to the people that seek Him so that He could bless those that live on earth. We also saw that God reveals His secrets to a particular category of people. What are these people that God reveals His plans to?\u00a0God reveals His secrets to God-fearing people that love Him.<\/strong>\r\n\r\n\u00abThe secret of LORD is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant\u00bb\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>(Psalm, 25:14).\r\n\r\n\u00abFor the perverse person is an abomination to the LORD, but His secret counsel is on the house of the wicked\u00bb<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(Proverbs, 3:32).\r\n\r\n\u00abWho is the man that fears the LORD? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses\u00bb<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(Psalm, 25:12).\r\n\r\n\u00abThe fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor is humility\u00bb<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(Proverbs, 15:33).\r\n\r\nThese verses of Scripture tell us that God has fellowship with the people that are righteous and fear Him, and they are the ones God reveals His covenant and His secrets. If you want God to be with you and reveal to you His secrets and your destiny, then you need to learn to walk in the fear of the Lord. Many people ask God questions concerning their lives, but they do not get any answers because there are no signs of the fear of God in their lives. For example, Saul asked God what he should do in a difficult situation, but\r\n\r\n \r\n
\u201cthe LORD did not answer him, either by dreams or by Urim or by the prophets\u201d (1 Samuel, 28: 6).<\/h6>\r\n \r\n\r\nBut when David asked the Lord, He always answered.\r\n\r\n \r\n
\u00a0\u00abTherefore David inquired of the LORD, saying, \u201eShall I go and attack the Philistines?\u201d And the LORD said to David, \u201eGo and attack the Philistines, and save Keilah\u201d\u00bb(1 Samuel, 23:2).<\/h6>\r\n \r\n\r\nWhy was there such a difference? The reason is that Saul did not have the fear of the Lord; David was a God-fearing man. Then, what is the fear of the Lord? What does it mean to fear God? Let the Bible give us answers to these questions.\r\n\r\n \r\n
\u00abBlessed is the man who fears the LORD, who delights greatly in His commandments\u00bb (Psalm, 112:1).<\/h6>\r\n
\u00abThe fear of the LORD is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate\u00bb\u00a0(Proverbs, 8:13).<\/h6>\r\n
\u00abYou who love the LORD, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked\u00bb\u00a0(Psalm, 97:10).<\/h6>\r\n
\u00abBy humility and the fear of the LORD are riches and honor and life\u00bb\u00a0(Proverbs, 22:4).<\/h6>\r\n \r\n\r\nAccording to the verses above to fear God means to love God, to respect Him and stick to His commandments. The fear of the Lord means to hate what God hates and to hate evil. To fear God means to continually humble oneself before Him, acknowledging his or her dependence on Him.
