Thank God for yet another opportunity to be filled with His living word!\r\n\r\nGod\u2019s Word is a compass for us, and without it we will be wandering in the wilderness of life not being able to find the way out.\r\n\r\nGod\u2019s Word is like a navigation system that helps us to see where we took the wrong turn. So God\u2019s Word\u00a0<strong>reproves<\/strong>\u00a0us. It shows us how we can get back on the right track. So, it\u00a0<strong>corrects<\/strong>\u00a0us. Also God\u2019s Word helps us to stay on course and not get lost. So, it\u00a0<strong>instructs<\/strong>\u00a0us\u00a0<strong>in righteousness<\/strong>.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h6>\u00abAll Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work\u00bb\u00a0(2 Timothy, 3:16-17).<\/h6>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nYesterday we saw that fulfilment and happiness in life is only possible when a person has\u00a0<strong>learned to live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God<\/strong>! Today we will continue with the thought that the true purpose of ministry is to draw people to the Lord and His ways.\r\n\r\nA young ruler once came to Jesus and addressed as \u00abGood Teacher! \u00bb. To this, Jesus answered and said no one is good but God alone:\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h6>\u00abNow a certain ruler asked Him, saying, \u201cGood Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?\u201d Se Jesus said to him, \u201cWhy do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God\u00bb\u00a0(Luke, 18:18-19).<\/h6>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nWhat does it mean? Jesus used His influence to draw people to God. Because of His good deeds people called Him Good Teacher. But in moments like that Jesus always helped people to see that He is only good because the Good God lives in and through Him. This is an example for all those who want to serve God appropriately.\r\n\r\nFor example, let\u2019s assume that you meet a person in the park somewhere and start talking with him; you learn that he has been recently divorced and suffers because of it. It is possible that you also have recently experienced some heartbreaking situation and understand his feelings quite well. Your experience can become a great blessing for this person and provide the necessary support in this hard time of his life. But you have to remember that you must not become God for this person; through this situation, you must reveal God to him because He was the one who helped you in the time of need. Yes, you are the one who is helping and encouraging this person, but at the same time you must help him realize that God is the only One who is able to solve his\/her problem and heal his\/her broken heart. You become a guide that leads this person to God. And now he or she is no longer focused on you, but on God Who is omnipotent!\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nThis is the very essence of our ministry! When all is said and done, you will stand aside and experience deep satisfaction form the work God is doing in the lives of the people you have ministered to. And the people will be grateful to you for being bold enough to share with them the truth about the Saviour Jesus Christ and to proclaim to them the good news of the Kingdom God!\r\n\r\nServe the Lord and He will bless you\u043a bread and water!\r\n\r\nTill tomorrow!\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nPastor Rufus Ajiboye","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"God\u2019s Word is like a navigation system that helps us to see where we took the wrong turn.
