Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God » (2 Corinthians, 5:19-20).

After Jesus left the earth and ascended to heaven, He commissioned us to be His ambassadors or the sent ones (His representatives) on the earth. So we must understand and receive a profound revelation concerning the spiritual authority and power that we have in Christ. The Bible says that Christ made us kings and priests in order that we can reign on earth for Him. It is God, our heavenly Father desires that we all to be busy about His business. His business is to reconcile people with Him. God desires to do the work of reconciliation through us – «we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God». He wants us to declare the word of reconciliation.

« God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation » (2 Corinthians, 5:19).

By declaring the word of reconciliation we can destroy the works of the devil in our society; we can open the people’s eyes and bring freedom from the power and authority of the devil. By declaring the word of reconciliation we can help people become the children of God and enter the inheritance God has given to all His saints.

We read in the Bible that God gave this type of mission and assignment to Apostle Paul:

«But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you. I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me» (Acts, 26:16-18).

The same mission and assignment is given to us as Christ ambassador

God desires is that we break the power of Satan which darkens and controls the minds of people. Through His children God wants to destroy all of the devil’s agendas, he wants to undo any manifestations of evil and unrighteousness on earth in order for people to get free from devil’s shackles. We must understand that the devil works through people making them the carriers of evil and injustice. God wants His children to be the instruments of righteousness in His hands, carriers of the goodness and the values of God’s Kingdom; He wants us to reflect God’s qualities. If we will get busy with God’s business as His ambassadors and sow God’s Word into the hearts of people, helping them to turn to God, we will empty out the kingdom of darkness. And then people will begin spreading God’s righteousness instead of depravity, evil and injustice.

«Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are the one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness» (Romans, 6:16-18).

Through the ministry of God’s ambassadors on the earth, God’s righteousness begins to flourish. And because of that God blesses and exalts our nations and evil will be eradicated from our lands. Righteousness exalts a nation! In order for earth to be filled with the righteousness of God, Christ ambassadors must understand who they are in Christ and go forth fulfilling their mission.

Till tomorrow!

Be blessed!

Pastor Rufus Ajiboye
After Jesus left the earth and ascended to heaven, He commissioned us to be His ambassadors or the sent ones (His representatives) on the earth.
