Peace to you, dear friends! Today I would like to share with you a word about the power of favour. I believe this word will be a special blessing to you. In this series of devotionals, I will talk about what favour is. We will discuss the foundation of favour and about how to release, maintain and multiply favour in our lives.  I believe this to be an amazing revelation which will have a great influence on our lives.Today I will try to give a description of the word ‘favour’. What is favour?
  • Favour is a secret desire of an individual to take part in your life and help you to be „the best you”.
  • Favour is the grace and benevolence of other people towards you.
  • Favour is the acts of kindness and mercy that others show towards you.
  • Favour also means having special privileges or someone’s support and/or help.
All of this is your heritage in Christ. God desires to cover your life with favour.
«For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favour You will surround him as with a shield» (Psalm 5: 13).
If you are made righteous through faith in Jesus Christ, then God promises to bless you and surround you with favour as a shield. Decide for yourself today that you will walk in the favour of God in all the areas of your life. May God bless you today in a special way! Till tomorrow! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

What are we going to do with the truth we have heard – the truth about importance and crucial nature of prayer? We must change! First, we need to ask God to help us to pray constantly. Second, we may ask other people you consider being strong in prayer to pray for you and help you put your prayer life in order. There is no shame in asking someone to pray for you.I remember a period in my life when I had lost a desire to pray; it seemed boring and my prayer seemed lifeless. And for some reason I wasn’t able to change it.

According to the word of God we are already granted everything we need in order to succeed in this life. God has already given us all that we need to have life abundantly. There is no such need in our life God has not taken care for yet. We only have to get to know God and His precious promises, so that we can prevail the lust of this world and fulfil our call from God.«Seeing that his divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue; by which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises; that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust.». It says in the Bible that God rules and reigns over everything — in heaven and in earth. When we read Genesis, we see that God created men and also we read about God’s intentions for men. God created us to rule and reign on earth as God’s ambassadors. So God’s original plan was for people to be a ruler and care-taker for God. We can read about that in Genesis (1:26-28).

One of the important habits that we need to develop is to pray daily. Prayer must become habitual. God desires to teach us how to forsake bad habits and to develop good ones.Some people have a habit of wasting time. They may know that they need to pray, what they need to pray about, what prayer does etc, but they still don’t pray because they seem to lack the time, since they waste their time on wrong, unfruitful things – TV, computer, telephone conversations and so on. We must make an effort and find the time to pray.
