Without God I cannot, but with Him I can do all!

Dear children of God, I greet you in our column “Daily Word for Spiritual Strength”! Our God is alive and He wants His children to be reborn through the truth of God’s Word and fellowship with Him.Today, I would like to show to you what happens in human life when prayer becomes their main priority. We can not do the works of God without God. Very often in our own strength, we try to do what God requires us to do with Him. Often we rely on ourselves and on things we already know. Often we rely on our experience. But when the prayer is our priority we understand that when relying on ourselves and doing the job without prayer, we are wasting time and energy. Without a strong prayer movement in the church, the church vision cannot be accomplished. It´s just not possible! If prayer is not the priority of the church life, then the church will not be able to fulfil God´s vision; in such case we just walk along the same circle. We believe that in this church and through this church, God wants to do mighty things. But we can strive to do these things ourselves, relying on ourselves, and the result will be a complete disappointment. In John 15:5, Jesus said,
“… apart from Me you can do nothing.”
Let us say it loud, “Without God I can do nothing!” Many people often say, “Without God I can do nothing!” But it is only half from the truth. Jesus says that you can not do anything only when you do it without God. If you are with God, then you can, you can everything. In Philippians 4:13, Paul says:
“I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”
If I am in God, if I am with Him, and if I am with His power, then I can do all. It is true! Say it aloud: “Without God I cannot, but with Him I can do all!” If we study the history of the church, where there is a real awakening, where people repent, and the church is growing, we certainly will see that it is a praying congregation. Very often, we want something that others have, but we do not know what price they paid for it. The fruit of the lives of many believers are attractive, and we want something similar. We think that, if they managed it, I must manage it too, and we start practicing it. I was reading a story. A man saw that his neighbour gathered a great harvest of potatoes. He thought, „What a great harvest he has! I want one like that too!” He decided that the next year he was going to grow potatoes too. He did that, he planted potatoes and started to wait for the harvest. When the time for harvest came, the man went to his field and saw that the field was overgrown with weeds and there was no harvest. He thought to himself: “It does not work!” What was his mistake? He saw that the neighbour had a harvest, but did not learn what the neighbour did to get such a good harvest. He wanted to get what was his neighbour had, but he was disappointed with the result.God does not want us to experience frustration. Therefore, the prayer has to become one of the main priorities of our lives. We have to stop doing God´s work in our own strength. Prior to our ministry, there must be a prayer, prayer is a must before any work, and only then our life will be full of joy and fruit. This is God´s calling to us today! May the Lord bless you!Until tomorrow!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Prayer is submitting to the will of God

When we pray we place ourselves in submission to God’s will for our lives. The very fact that you come to God in prayer is the proof of your submission to God.The Bible tells us to pray always; it is the command of the Lord. That is why when I come to God in prayer then the very act of praying places me in the position of submission to this command. In other words, if I don’t pray, thus I demonstrate the lack of submission to the will of God; because praying is the command of God.
  • The Kingdom of God II

It is impossible to establish God’s Kingdom in our hearts, our lives, our families and all the spheres of our influence without putting forth particular effort. In order for God’s Kingdom to grow we will need to fight and to engage in warfare. So if you have made a decision to have part in expansion of God’s Kingdom in this earth, you can not be a passive observer. Only active people that have taken a position of overcomers in Christ are able to establish the Kingdom in their lives and around them.
  • Sin is one of the main sources of tragedies and various curses on the earth

So we see that sin is one of the sources of tragedies in the world. Dear reader, you can ease the suffering in the world by joining to the army of people who overcome evil by the power of love. Because of Moses’ correct decision, millions of Jews were saved from destruction. Because of your correct decision God can bless your family, your city, your country and the whole world. If you haven’t accepted Jesus Christ as Your Lord and Saviour and you still lust for the wrong things, if you still resist God’s will and experience excessive appetite for sinful things and give in to impulses, – you need to know that by your life you multiply pain and suffering in this world.
  • Value God’s Word! IV

Today I would like to continue talking about the importance of God’s Word.We saw what God spoke through Moses that God’s Word is our life. We also talked about the fact that our attitude towards the Word can either prolong our life or shorten it. We have already seen in the parables of Jesus that our attitude towards God’s Word determines the strength of our foundation, our life and all the things we are building. Yesterday we also talked about the fact that God’s Word is able to change our disappointments into joy, bankruptcy – into abundance. We saw all of it in the life of Peter. I would like for us to look at the verses that talk about Peter when he was utterly failing and ready to give up.
  • The evangelism and discipleship II

«Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches; pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward Him for the life of your young children, who faint from hunger at the head of every street» (Lamentations, 2:19).This is not a routine call to ordinary prayer, but a call to cry out to God to send a revival and deliver our children and the next generation from inevitable disasters and tragedies. Every serious revival has started with people’s heartfelt cry directed to God.
  • God’s purpose for the earth and the role of people in it III

«Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness! ’» (Matthew, 7:21-23).
