How to develop a habit of prayer in our life? II

The grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ and His peace be with you!Welcome to join our daily letter “Daily Word for spiritual strength”!Prayer is relationships of love between a man and The God as we determined it earlier.It´s nothing else but the love of God, that prompts people to pray and spend time with Him.A desire to know Him and His will in our life is a kind of food to keep our life in prayer alive.The only way to know His will is to come to see Him and ask Him about it. This desire keeps our life in prayer alive. We have to have such desire to be able to pray continuously. Paul once said he would like to know the Lord and the power of His resurrection. Looking at the Paul´s life we notice that he lived in prayer. Why was he doing so? Because he had a strong desire to know the Lord and the power of His resurrection. Paul wrote:
« Pray without ceasing» (1-Thes. 5:17).
 Why do we need to pray without ceasing? Because it´s necessary to grow in the Lord more and more. It´s a very important thing to understand. He wants us to come and talk to Him every day, not only at the time of crisis in our life. Surely, our Heavenly Father replies to our prayers, but He is not happy to see us going back to our daily rituals and routine life without Him once received an answer from Him. Study Judges or Psalms 105 and 106. Once the children of Israel had got into troubles they first reaction was to cry to their God for help. Would you call it a prayer? Yes, of course. They cried to God, repented, then removed everything that stayed between them and the God from their life and the God immediately came down to save Israel from their enemies. Shortly after life was looking up again so they slid back abusing the comfort of their blessed life, neglecting the God and relationships with Him. Once again, they ran into troubles, cried to God, the God saved them and was neglected thereafter again and so on. Why did it happen this way? The answer is easy – children of Israel misunderstood the meaning of a prayer. They prayed only when they had faced a problem. Some people don´t even know what to pray for when everything is looking up in their life. “I am thankful to you Lord for I am alive, thanks for the benefits I´ve received from You – my family, my job, the church”, – that´s what such people think their prayer should be alike, just like counting the benefits they got from above and that´s it. Meanwhile, prayer means something different. Prayer means relationships with God, a desire to know His character, when you come before Him and ask: “Lord, let me know Your will and open Your heart to me.” Paul almost always prayed to the Lord for one reason. He asked Him to reveal God´s mind and His will in Paul´s life. This is what his soul was crying for. He never asked for any material needs, even when he was in need. He was very certain that for those who seek God and His Kingdom all other things will be given at their time. We are living in a very busy world today. Sometimes we can´t find the time to pray even when we have a need for prayer and a desire to pray. That´s why talking about development of our life in prayer we have to make prayer our habit. Let´s continue about it tomorrow.A lot of blessings from God to you all at this day!Rufus Ajiboye, pastor

    Prayer is a very important and necessary part of our spiritual life and can be compared to breathing, which is vital for our physical life. In other words, prayer is our spiritual breathing. This year we have talked a lot about serving God, and it is very important as well. We need to serve God! We need to serve people!     In reality, effective life is impossible without appropriate preparation. Jesus solved the question of effectiveness by preparing Himself for the ministry.     In order for life to flow from us, we need to first be filled with this life. Bible tells us that Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the life. Receiving Christ as your Lord and Saviour, we accept His life itself within us. But this life has to be constantly strengthened within us, and it is possible when we are filled with the Word of God. You yourself determine what you fulfil your heart with – the Word of God or this world’s system of values, holiness or sin, faith or fear. The Word of God brings faith, strength, and health into our lives. Walking in holiness allows us to see the manifestation of God’s power in our lives. Faith in God, based on the Word of God, connects us with God and His possibilities.

  • Fight for the lives of your children, your family and friends!

    You know that in the history of revivals the key role was played by praying women, because God had given them the burden of prayer for the lives other people. Women know how to carry things that distress them and bear them before God. That is why prayer is one of the purposes of mothers. Mother’s prayers are so powerful! Mother’s prayer reaches the goal! Mother’s prayer brings freedom to her children! So if you are a mother, God expects unceasing prayers from you, until the necessary answer comes. Do not stop praying for your children. Children need your prayers, and other people need your prayers.
