How can we experience God in our life?

Greetings to you, my friends, at this marvellous day! The God´s mercy is renewed for us this morning. The Bible says: «Let everything that has breath praise Yah!» (Psalm 150:6). If you can breath today – it´s a mercy of the Lord and a sufficient reason to praise and thank Him. Today I would like to begin a new topic called “How can we experience God in our life?” Studying the Bible we see God doing great feats through many people. He was able to realise His intentions using those people just due to their revelation and understanding of God´s key principles. While living in the different times, educated on a different level, belonged to the different cultures all Bible heroes basically have something in common. The secret of the success and feats they had is obvious – they knew God and interacted with Him. They experienced God´s power and His mercy in their lives. How did they succeeded? It became possible because they dedicated themselves to God. That´s exactly what God is inviting us to do. The following verses from Scripture prove it:
« Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service» (Romans 12:1).
«Neither present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God, as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.» (Romans 6:13).
«For the love of Christ constrains us; because we judge thus, that one died for all, therefore all died. He died for all, that those who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who for their sakes died and rose again.». (2nd Corinthians 5:14-15).
«who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed.» (1st Peter 2:24).
«according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will in no way be disappointed, but with all boldness, as always, now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will bring fruit from my work; yet I don’t make known what I will choose. But I am in a dilemma between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Yet, to remain in the flesh is more needful for your sake. Having this confidence, I know that I will remain, yes, and remain with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith, that your rejoicing may abound in Christ Jesus in me through my presence with you again.» (Philippians 1:20-26 ).
«But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.». (Matthew 6:33).
All the verses above tell us the same thing, namely: in order to experience God and His power in us and through us we have to understand, that all our life belongs to Him. Therefore, we have to dedicate ourselves in whole to God and His ministry. Our bodies like a living sacrifice must become the tools of justice, so that we can bring the fruits of righteousness to God. Paul says that it is no longer him that lives, but Christ is living in him. Paul dedicated himself to the Lord, that´s why God could do incredible feats through him. During his life Paul experienced God´s power and mercy abundantly. We will experience God as much, as much we dedicate ourselves to Him. Once we understand we do not live for ourselves but for the One who has died for us, we discover the unlimited source of power and mercy of God for ourselves. God gives mercy to the humble, that´s why when we dedicate ourselves and our bodies to Him in humility, His mercy comes into our life filling it with God´s glory. God always works in us and around us. He calls us to join Him and become his partners.
«For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s farming, God’s building.» (1st Corinthians 3:9).
«Working together, we entreat also that you not receive the grace of God in vain.» (2nd Corinthians 6:1).
If we cancel all our excuses and reply to His call, we will receive true blessings from Him.God has actively participated in al events since the foundation of this world. God did not set the Earth up like an alarm-clock, then dropped it to spin on its own, not at all. After the human kind was separated from proper relationships with God, He is persistently working to conquer the Earth to Christ. God works, granting salvation to those who are lost without Him and dying in sins. Heavenly father works through Jesus reconciling the world with Himself, but somehow God decided to accomplish His work through His people.By reconciling people with Himself, God desires to move us to the centre of His will on Earth. If we want to experience Him and the stream of His power and bliss, we must dedicate ourselves and our body to Him.The God asks: «Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?»
«I heard the Lord’s voice, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am. Send me!”» (Isaiah 6:8).
Jesus said to His disciples: «… the harvest indeed is plentiful, but the labourers are few.» (Matthew 9:37).
Why are there so few labourers? Why is it so that God is looking for whom He can send? Because there are no many people ready and willing to submit themselves to Him as a living sacrifice. You can make this decision today to join the file of God´s heroes, through whom He is willing to manifest His power and fulfil what He has set.Be abundantly blessed!Rufus Adjiboye, pastor

  • Constant fellowship with God

Having constant fellowship with God we begin to see ourselves as God´s chosen ones, holy and beloved. Each of us is unique and some can see it and believe it, however, not everybody has revealed it for himself. If you look at yourself as at the God´s chosen one, you life will easily reflect a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance. In addition you will notice how these qualities reflect in your inner world and your relationships with God and other people as well.
  • How Prophet Elisha accomplished his goal in life

Elijah was the spiritual father of Elisha. After Elisha closely observed the life of this man of God in his life and saw all the miracles that God performed through Elijah, he understood that the key to Elijah’s success was his love and total commitment to God. So Elisha desired and became hungry for the same anointing and lifestyle of Elijah his mentor. But more interestingly is the fact that Elisha wasn’t satisfied to do just what Elijah did; he craved for the double portion of Elijah’s his anointing.
  • Please stop finding fault and shifting blame

Other people might be responsible for where you are in life, but nobody is responsible for your continuing to stay where you are. Until you stop finding fault and shifting blame, you will not rise up and take responsibility for your advancement in life. Here is what God want you to do from today on:Don’t blame the devil, resist him (James 4: 7); Don’t blame God, obey Him (Genesis 3: 12-13); Don’t blame your challenges and predicaments; fight your way through them by faith (Number chapter 12-14).
  • The life of Jesus was described to us so that we learn from Him to take His yoke and His burden

According to the Bible, God´s highest goal for us is make us in likeness of Christ. He wants us to be like Jesus. Though, it doesn´t happen in at blink of an eye, it´s rather a process that develops as we allow the God´s word and other God´s means on to influence us. Spending your time with Jesus by reading the word of God and praying, fellowship with other christians, decently overcoming difficulties and pain – all these things help you to transform more and more, just as it happened to Jesus disciples.
  • The things that you are ready to sacrifice or give up will determine what will come into your life

Yesterday we saw that God had asked Abram to leave his country, his father’s house and his relatives and to go to the land that He would show.“Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you” (Genesis, 12:1).
  • The Importance of God’s will

Today I would like to start talking about „The Importance of God’s will”. The Holy Scripture says: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven” (Mathew, 7: 21). The Bible calls every one of us to have sound mind, especially in learning the will of God for his or her life.«Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is» (Ephesians, 5:18).Why is it so important to allocate some time for seeking out the will of God? Why is understanding of God’s will so necessary for a person? It is because the understanding of God’s will determine both our happiness here, on earth, and our status in the future, in eternity.
