Nobody will be able to harm you if you know God’s voice and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit

Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ! Welcome to our „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”! Yesterday we talked about the benefits of listening to God’s voice. Based on several passages from John (10), we learned that when we hear God’s voice, God goes ahead of us and leads us, teaching us to discern His voice. God also teaches us to distinguish His voice from the voices of strangers. When we hear God’s voice we will enjoy eternal life that Christ has brought us. Besides, when we learn to hear and discern God’s voice, we will enjoy God’s supernatural protection. Today we will look at some other blessings that come into our lives when we learn to hear His voice. Let’s turn to the Bible.
«Good and upright is the LORD; therefore He teaches sinners in the way. The humble He guides in justice, and the humble He teaches His way. All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth, to such as keep His covenant and His testimonies. For Your name’s sake, O LORD, pardon my iniquity, for it is great. Who is the man that fears the LORD? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses, He himself shall dwell in prosperity, and his descendants shall inherit the earth. The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant. My eyes are ever toward the LORD, for He shall pluck my feet out of the net». Psalm (25:8-15).
The verses above tell us about certain advantages that are made available to us because of the leading of the Holy Spirit and knowing God’s voice.
  • Your soul will dwell in prosperity and your descendants will inherit the earth.
Being led by the Holy Spirit is the source of true prosperity. Prosperity implies success in all areas of life. If you are a student, you will be successful, because God will teach to you all things necessary. God will show you the way He has chosen for you. God will reveal to you His secrets. Secrets are information that is hidden from the others, but open for you. It is precisely the knowing God’s secrets that make us successful. The Lord’s secrets are able to transform any ordinary person into a great person in every area of life, whether farming or parenting, preaching or leading a home group, treating people medically or any other activity. God has secrets that will make us great wherever we are.
  • God’s supernatural protection.
God plucks our feet out of the net:
«My eyes are ever toward the LORD, for He shall pluck my feet out of the net» (Psalm, 25:15).
A net is an enemy’s trap for your soul that is meant to destroy or restrict you. But when you follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, God does not only give you prosperity, but He also protects you. That is why it says in the Bible that God’s blessings make us rich and add no sorrow to our lives:
«The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it» (Proverbs, 10:22)
The Bible also states that everything God does endures forever. Nobody is able to destroy or cancel what God makes and builds. For this reason nobody was able to harm Jesus before the appointed time, when Jesus Himself gave up His soul. Jesus was protected by God the Father because he followed the leading and the guidance of the Father. This is also the reason behind His boldness and confidence as we demonstrated in the following passage:
«On that very day some Pharisees came, saying to Him, “Get out and depart from here, for Herod wants to kill you.” And He said to them, „Go, tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.’ Nevertheless I must journey today, tomorrow, and the day following; for it cannot be that a prophet should perish outside of Jerusalem» (Luke, 13:31-33).
Nobody will be able to harm you if you know God’s voice and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. And then all the advantages mentioned earlier will become obvious in your life. Tomorrow we will continue with this thought. I wish you God’s abundant blessings! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

Jesus as our Model made friends based on his or her willingness to do God´s will. His never chose friends just because a certain person was a relative or a stranger, poor or rich, a law teacher or a sinner. Those who desired to do God´s will were “a brother, a sister and a mother” to Him. In opposite case Jesus only tried to help such person to understand the purpose of his life and unite him or her with the Creator while those who wanted to do God´s will in their life became His best friends.
  • Daily obedience to God in different areas of your life will bring you to your calling III

If you desire to find out what your calling is and to start walking in it, then, first of all, be obedient to God on a daily basis; secondly, let Jesus to become the Lord in all the areas of your life.It is our honour and privilege to have Jesus Christ as our Lord, since He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. The lordship of Jesus does not humiliate and limit a person; quite the opposite is true, – it exalts and adorns human life.
  • How to enter your ministry?

If a person doesn’t have any desire to serve, it is very difficult to motivate him. This desire has to be strong enough to move you to action; otherwise you won’t do anything. It is easy to teach and lead a person that has a desire and an interest in something. And it is very difficult to convince and motivate the one who is indifferent. Where does the desire to serve come from? This desire comes from the understanding of God’s will and the purpose of our salvation.
  • The evangelism and discipleship II

«Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches; pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward Him for the life of your young children, who faint from hunger at the head of every street» (Lamentations, 2:19).This is not a routine call to ordinary prayer, but a call to cry out to God to send a revival and deliver our children and the next generation from inevitable disasters and tragedies. Every serious revival has started with people’s heartfelt cry directed to God.
  • You have been created, redeemed and restored! You were born twice!

We are not only created by God, we are also reworked or recreated by Jesus Christ. We are talking about the opportunity available to sinful people because Christ has come into this world. This is exactly what the letter to Ephesians says:«You were made alive when you were dead in transgressions and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the powers of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience; among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus; for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.» (Ephesians 2:1-10).
  • Are you growing in your walk with God?

It is God desires for every one of His children to continue to grow in their relationship with Him. The reason is obvious from the Bible: until we grow up, we won’t be able to enjoy the privileges God has provided for us as His sons and daughters.“Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; 2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. 3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: {elements: or, rudiments}” (Galatians 4: 1-3).
