God’s Word is water

Greetings to you, my dear friends! Grace and peace to you from Father God and our Lord Jesus Christ!

God’s Word is treasure we must treat right; through it we have to be established in the eternal life given to us by God. It says in the Bible:

«It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter» (Proverbs, 25:2).

God has hidden many matters in His Word. God’s precious truths are hidden away and concealed. And only the one who searches for them finds them. The Bible says that you do not through pearls before the swine, because they can’t appreciate them. So, God hides His pearls from worldly people; He conceals His treasures, His wisdom and knowledge. He hides these matters from carnal believers as well. But the glory of kings (and you and I are these kings) is to search the matters God has hidden. When we search them out, we discover them for ourselves and it brings glory into our lives. All the things that are necessary to succeed in all areas of life are contained in the Bible. But they are concealed!

You will agree that many people read the Bible and do not understand it. We read in Luke how one day Jesus came close to Jerusalem:

« Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes » (Luke, 19:41-42).

God desires to reveal to us that things that have been hidden. He has entrusted us His treasure – His Word. We know that controversy that exists in our lives disappears when we start reading the Word. Many believers know that the Bible is God’s Word, yet they neglect it and do not read it as they should. It is wrong! They are many reasons people do not read the Word: laziness, lack of creativeness, spiritual attacks etc. In order to have joy while reading the Word we must understand the reason we have it.

It says in the Bible that God’s Word is light. If you need light every day, then you need to read the Word every day, so that your life is filled with God’s light. Walking in the Word brings light into my way:

«The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple» (Psalm, 119:130)

The Bible says that the whole world lies in darkness. God gave us His Word to lead and guide us, since we live among darkness. When we walk in darkness, we stumble and fall. God gives us light through His Word. So when I read the Word, I understand that this light belongs to me, so I turn it on. We read the Word to receive enlightment, knowledge and understanding of the matters.

Besides, it is written that God’s Word is water. We use water every day. In the spiritual sense God’s Word is water. God’s intention is for you to use this spiritual water every day. It cleanses us from the things that defile our lives. Living in this world we get defiled. In one of his Psalms David wrote that God’s Word keeps him clean from doings of people. When we look into the Word and apply it to our lives, it cleanses us. God’s Word has purifying effect on us. So if we want to stay clean, we must read the word as often as possible.

It is also written that God’s Word is a mirror and spiritual food, but we will talk about it tomorrow.

May God bless every one of you!

  • The Kingdom of God

The Kingdom of God is a very important concept, which is often mentioned in the Bible. When we read the New Testament we see that the message about the Kingdom of God was the central message and mission of Jesus Christ. The very first sermon of Jesus Christ was a message that called people to repent and to believe the Gospel, because the Kingdom of God has come nigh.
  • Why we need the favour?

«We have heard with our ears, O God, our father have told us, the deeds You did in their days, in days of old: You drove out the nations with Your hand, but them You planted; You afflicted the peoples, and cast them out. For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, nor did their own arm save them; but it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, because You favoured them» (Psalm 44:1-3).
  • Responsibility as a Key to Success!

Why is it important to be a responsible person? One of the reasons is that the level of authority and power is directly related to how responsible you are. Even if you seem to have authority with people, but you treat life lightly, it is highly probable that soon enough you will lose your standing with people. And it applies to all settings: whether it is church, family, business or individuals. Responsibility, success and authority – all these phenomena are closely related. You cannot be successful and irresponsible at the same time.
  • Only God can tell us the way we can please Him through our ministry

Can we serve God on His conditions, instead of ours? does our service to God cost us something? Whether we give to God the rests of our time which and so is not present, or we give to It from the rudiments? Do we give to God the left over of times or do we commit the first fruit of our time to God? Do we serve God only when that is convenient and favourablу for us, or we are ready to sacrifice our comfort for the sake of the interests of the Kingdom God?
  • God wants prayer to become priority in the lives of His children!

Everything that devil has bound up in your life – your miracle, your promises, – can be released to you by the supernatural power of God. But for it to happen, prayer must become your number 1 priority.Take any Bible story and you will see what powerful prayer of believers is able to accomplish. For example, what did Daniel do when he was thrown into lions’ den? Did he pray? No, it was too late to pray. He had been praying long before he got to this point in his life. It is too late to pray when you are in a den with some lions. You must pray before anything like that happens! Daniel prayed three times a day every day.
  • Let’s first win the hearts of people..

Today I’d like us to discuss about the life of Abraham. I believe God wants to show us some very important principles that can be gleaned from the life of Abraham and in his relationship with God. “Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis, 12:1-3)
