Is anything too hard for the Lord?

Greetings to you, dear friends!

I am so happy to have this opportunity to share the Word of God with you today. I would like us to look at a story about Sarah, Abraham’s wife. Here we’ll find another very important principle of faith.

„And He said, „I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son.” (Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him.) Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, „After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?” And the Lord said to Abraham, „Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?’ „Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.” (Genesis, 18:10-14).

This story is very interesting because it talks about so many of us today. So very often we pray and pray and expect God to move, but, seeing no signs of changes in our situation, many of us accept it as the will of God and lose every desire to keep expecting a miracle. Possibly, a man won’t tell others that he does not believe in his miracle anymore, but inside he will say it loud and clear. That is what happened to Sarah. She did not say anything out loud, but inwardly she laughed, because she had decided that it is impossible. This laughter revealed to God what was happening in Sarah’s heart. She was asked then: „Why did Sarah laugh?” Sarah did not expect such a turn of events.
God asks us this very important question just like He asked Sarah and we have to pay attention to it: „Is anything too hard for the Lord?” This question is so crucial because how we answer it will determine the measure of God’s involvement in our lives. This question helps us to realize that how much we know about God affects the level of our faith.

When a person believes that there is nothing impossible for God, that person has a particular attitude towards life, a particular reaction to hardships, a particular spiritual attitude that appears when he or she runs into difficult problems that do not change for a long time.

Is anything too hard for the Lord? Are there any situations in your life which the Lord cannot change? Are there any situations in your family, your ministry, your church, or your relationships which the Lord cannot change? Is there anything that God cannot change? No! There is nothing impossible for the Lord!

Do not give up! Do not give up your faith in God’s miracle for your life! Keep believing that God will alter your situation and your circumstances. This is the time when you need to go on believing God and then those things that seem humanly impossible will change. Today God desires for you to believe that there is nothing impossible for Him.

Despite the fact that Sarah laughed, God still promised to come back at the appointed time and that Sarah would have a son. The seed – her son – was the promise given by God to Abram a long time ago. We must not lose faith in the promise given to us by God despite the situation and circumstances around us.

Keep praying, keep working on the promises, keep sowing them like a seed, keep watering them through right confessions. Keep expecting that in due time everything God promised you will come to pass and you will be able to give birth to these promises, just like it happened to Sarah. Remember that there is nothing impossible for God!
It says in the Word of God that

“the things which are impossible with men are possible with God” (Luke, 18:27).

May God bless you today!

  • The power of compassion

Today I would like to talk about the power of compassion. If we look at the life of Jesus as the image of God – and that is Who Jesus is, – we will see that Jesus was motivated by compassion. When we are moved by compassion, we can’t be idle and barren. Our world is full of problems and God is calling us to work to solve them. We are His representatives on the earth. We are the Body of Christ on earth, so anything that God wants to do here He does through us.Looking at the life of Jesus we see that He never was idle. Every time when He wanted to be alone and relax after long hours of ministry, people would find Him and ask for help. And He never rejected anybody. Many times we read in the Bible: «He had compassion and ministered to them». He went from town to town, because He was anointed to bring solutions where problems were.

  • Plan, plant, pray, but also act!

I want to begin this word with a story: A man had a wonderful garden that brought him a rich, abundant harvest. When his neighbor saw that, he decided that the next spring he would make a garden for himself too. But after the neighbor had sawn seeds in his garden, he did not do anything there afterward. He did not water his garden, did not cultivate, neither loosened the soil. When the autumn came, his garden was neglected and full with weeds. And, of course, it did not bring forth any fruit.

God did so much for Joseph. He saved his life when his brothers wanted to kill him. God showed him favor when he was sold into slavery. God abundantly blessed the work of his hands that his master placed him over his whole property. Joseph never forgot these blessings from the Lord. The realizations of God’s mercy filled Joseph’s heart with gratitude toward God and his master.

  • How do we serve God?

We serve God by serving other people in His Name. To serve God actually means to serve other people in the Name of God or as the representative of God on the earth. It is to do good to others by meeting their spiritual, emotional, intellectual, physical or material needs as an act of our love for God. Please understand that your love for God will have a reflection your relationship with others. In the same way, your neglect of God reflects on how you relate to your neighbour.

  • A person must be filled with the Word and live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God

People “dull of hearing” are not the ones who do not listen at all; they are the ones who are not able to grasp and comprehend. When we feed on God’s Word, this Word helps us grow spiritually. When we do not do it, we stay spiritual babies. Looking at some churches we can see that they are full of spiritual babies. This situation does not bring joy to God, because He can’t rely on spiritual babies.

  • The importance of stopping all activities and being alone with God

«From there He arose and went to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And He entered a house and wanted no one to know it, but He could not be hidden.»Jesus came to Tyra and Sidon to find some solitude and rest from people because His last day was coming closer – the day of His death on the Golgotha. Possibly, Jesus wanted to be alone with His Father to discuss what was awaiting Him on the Golgotha. Thus, Jesus was showing us an example of stopping all activities and being alone with God. We also need – every once in a while – to leave all the clutter of this world and all its cares and to find time for being alone with the Father. God is calling you today to find right time and a right place to be alone with God even among all the cares and stresses of this world. By doing it you will be able to gain access to godly wisdom, receive peace from God and succeed in this life.
