What is favour? II

I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!It is so wonderful that God has given us a full manual for wholesome living. Bible is full of principles and instructions for a happy life on the earth, and – the most important – it gives us a guarantee of eternal life. Every wise person not only reads the Bible, but also uses its principles in his daily walk. We started talking about the power of favour. Yesterday we defined the meaning of the word „favour” as ‘secret desire of another person to take part in your life and help you to be ‘the best you’’. Today we will look at why gaining of the favour is so important for securing success in life. Let’s look at the Scripture:
«So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy» (Romans, 9: 16).
Based on this verse of Scripture, we can make the following conclusions:
  • It is not important how fast you will run or how hard you will work; unless God blesses you, your efforts will be futile and bring you no success.
  • Blessing is the secret of obvious success in the Kingdom of God or someone’s personal life.
  • Favour guarantees great attainments in your life. It makes your enemies helpless and opens for you a door to your success.
Would you like to make sure your work is not futile? Would you like to have outstanding success in your life and reach the heights God has set for you? Would you like to see your enemies helpless and lose the battle? If you are mad at everybody then you won’t be able to hear and comprehend the Word; you will read it, but it won’t work in your life. The process of engrafting requires a special treatment, protection in order to preserve the tree from infection. The same can be said about a human heart, – it must be protected from wickedness so that the Word of God could be planted and then bring forth fruit – the fruit of salvation.

  • Submission to God

    Submission to God doesn´t mean doing everything that comes to your mind. Contrariwise, it makes us responsible for getting to know what God bears in His heart regarding His will to our life. For this reason you have to submit yourself in whole to the Lord in order to have fellowship with Him as a source of inspiration, freshness and guidance. Everybody who experienced His power in his life and became a tool of His mercy constantly submitted himself to the Lord.

    Every person has a goal, whether he talks about it or not. He is driven to do something. But if we talk about goals, it is important to determinewhether it is WORTHY or UNWORTHY. Paul had a worthy goal and talked about it all the time:«…according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you.

    The first thing God did to Abram was that He took him out of the tent, out of his comfort zone. While we stay within our comfort zone where we feel at ease, where we do not need to make an effort, where everything goes according to the habitual scenario, we are not able to see what God wants to show us. This lame guy got used to sitting on the same spot for 40 years and probably did not believe in any change any more.I read this story about one dog that has been tied to a pillar. Each time the dog tried to run, she felt the restriction. After several attempts the dog got used to its position. And even after this dog was untied, it still continued to move around only within the habitual radius.
