Worthy Goal for Life

Peace to you, my dear friends! I greet you on this wonderful day and pray for the Lord to help you in your walk and give you success in everything you will do today. Today I would like to start talking about „Worthy Goal for Life”.Every person has a goal, whether he talks about it or not. He is driven to do something. But if we talk about goals, it is important to determinewhether it is WORTHY or UNWORTHY. Paul had a worthy goal and talked about it all the time:
«…according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you. And being confident of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith, that your rejoicing for me may be more abundant in Jesus Christ by my coming to you again» (Philippians, 1:20-26)
Paul had earnest expectation and hope. What was Paul’s expectation in life? He expected for Christ to be glorified in his body and through his life.A goal is something that fills our minds and gives us motivation in life. Paul looked at his life through the prism of his goal; above all he wanted for Christ to be glorified through his life. A person without expectations does not have faith. Faith is built upon hope and expectation.
«Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen» (Hebrews, 11:1).
Faith pursues a specific goal. Faith makes real steps towards a real goal. Where there is no hope or expectation, faith is without fruit. Faith provides the necessary energy or motivation for a person to move forward. If the goal of our life is to gain material things, personal comforts etc., it cannot be considered worthy. Paul saw the knowledge of Christ as the reason to live. Without such goal faith will remain fruitless. The desire to know Christ and to glorify Him in his or her life motivates and propels a person forward.
«Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us» (Romans, 5:1-5).
Today you have an opportunity to examine your goals. What are your pursuits? What do you spend you time on? If Christ and the work of His Kingdom are not among your goals, then you are wasting your life and your goals cannot be considered to be a worthy cause. God desires to do great works in your life and through it, but the question is: do you desire it as much? May the desire to get to know Christ and to glorify Him in your life become the main goal for your life!God bless you!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

The ones who minister to God and men will be continually changing and being perfected in God’s wisdom. God will change you through ministry! The call to serve God and people is the call to change, growth, perfection, fruitfulness and happy life. Have you answered God’s call to serve other people with the gifts you have received from God? Maybe you have been regularly praying for the Lord to change you. I want to say to you that you should keep praying, because God does change us through prayer. But God will also change us through ministry. That is why He tells us that if we want to see obvious changes in our lives, we must minister to others with the gifts we have received from Him.
  • God’s Word being the best means of cleansing for a human heart

God cleanses me through His Word, so I have to be absorbed in it daily. It might seem to you that you are not getting anything out of it, but it is not so. When we read the Word, we receive deep cleansing, just like people get clean when they bathe. It must be done as often as possible so we would stink spiritually. If you start to notice that you are getting quick-tempered, it means you need to wash it off. If you notice your heart closing up, it means you are not reading the Word and missing the cleansing. If you notice things that do not comply with Christian standards, for example, picking a quarrel, it is a sign of not being in the Word enough.
  • We must be grateful to God in all things!

When things go fine and when God answers our prayers, it is easy to thank God, – at those times we thank God and adore Him. But as soon as God decides to answer us in a way that does not fit our plans, we start thinking whether there is any sense in prayer. The Bible calls us to thank God in everything. The Bible calls us to praise God aloud so that other people would hear it. Be grateful to God, praise him, and sing to Him – aloud! Thanksgiving is the very model of prayer that Jesus gave to His disciples.
  • The implanted Word of God changes an individual: his reactions, emotions, behaviour III

«For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope»(Jeremiah, 29:11)I just want to tell you one important thing today; this might apply to just one, two or three people, but it is worth mentioning: if you have been filling your heart with God’s Word for a long time and have been guarding your heart, but you do not yet see the results or fruit, it means God is putting in you a very deep and solid foundation, because He is going to raise a strong and important structure.
  • How to enter your ministry

Yesterday we started discussing how we can enter our ministry. We established that, first; we need a strong desire to serve. This desire is tied to our understanding of God’s will and the purpose of our salvation. As we talked about, ministry helps us to reveal our potential. Ministry helps us to find out about ourselves, our calling in the establishment of God’s Kingdom on earth and doing the works that are pleasing to God. God has predestined for us to do particular good works. God desires for us to be fruitful and glorify Him on earth. Through our ministry God wants to fill this earth with the knowledge of Him and His Kingdom. He wants us to establish His principles in every sphere of life and win people for Him by the ministry we do on earth.
