Your gift will make room for you! IV

Welcome, dear readers, to „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”! According to the wonderful mercy of God we have been given this chance to daily feed our hearts on the living Word of God. God is Light, and there is no darkness in Him! The light of God’s Word enlightens us and gives wisdom. We are still talking about necessity to use the gifts that have been given to us by the Lord. Jesus wants every person to be faithful in little things and then God will place such a person over greater things. God presents everyone with opportunities to start serving Him and bringing forth fruit for God’s Kingdom. You cannot multiply what you do not sow.In the Gospel of Mathew Jesus told a parable about Master giving his servants different talents.
«For the kingdom of heaven is like a man travelling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey» (Mathew, 25: 14-15).
Jesus shows us here that the criterion of His assessment is not quantity, but faithfulness. God know that every one of us has different abilities, so the quantitative result will be different for different people. Numbers are not important to Jesus; He cares about how faithful you have been with what God has given you. He cares about your attitude towards His work.So very often people compare their results and assess each other by quantity and numbers; Jesus judges by different criteria: by the attitude of one’s heart and the quality of work.In the Scripture above we see different attitude that people show towards God’s assignments:
«Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money» (Mathew, 25: 16-18)
Every person in this parable received something to start his ministry with; but we see that one of them was negligent with his talent. This servant was irresponsible and lazy; his master pointed that out later on:
«But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant» (Mathew, 25: 26a).
Most of the time it is laziness, negligence and irresponsibility that make people unfruitful, and not the lack of knowledge of God’s will. So often people do not know their place in the Body of Christ or their ministry simply because they are lazy, wicked and irresponsible! Do not be offended, because the Lord Himself said so! A patient should not get offended when his doctor tells him about the critical condition of his health. When our heart attitude is right and when we do everything we can then we will have fruit. You can pray for hours and hours; but if you won’t get up, start doing something with what you have you will have no ministry, nor place, nor fruit in the Kingdom of God. Only the one who uses his gifts and talents have fruit.May God abundantly bless you today and in future!God is good!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

The law of sowing and reaping governs how favour works. It is necessary to look at favour as a seed that must be sown. Jesus said that, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” (Matthew 5:7).In other words, Jesus is saying, “Blessed are those who have sown favour or mercy, because they will reap favour or mercy”.Generally, the level of favour operating in your life depends on the level of the seed of favour you sow into other people’s lives. This means that I cannot expect the harvest of favour in my life until I have not sown mercy into other people’s lives.
  • Why do people choose to be irresponsible? III

Fear paralyzes and limits a person, takes away his strength and courage for going forward; it does not allow person’s talents and gifts to come out on the surface. Fear steals person’s faith in God. A wicked heart makes a person selfish and stains his motives. Such a person is alienated from the true understanding of responsibility for his words and actions. He lives according to the principle “I do not owe a thing to anybody; everybody owes me!»

He was a man of God, similarly to David, one, whose attitude to prayer and fellowship with God was very serious. In Daniel 6:10 we read:«When Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house (now his windows were open in his chamber toward Jerusalem) and he bowed down on his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did before».
  • Are you in bondage, in the wilderness or in your promise land?

We read about how God promised the children of Israel a land flowing with milk and honey, but when it came time to possess it, as a nation they were not ready. There are attitudes that keep you in bondage and wandering in the wilderness, while a promised land flowing with milk and honey awaits you. The Bible is full of the record of sins that plagued the rest of the children of Israel which we are to be aware of today in our lives.
  • God doesn’t want us to give up!

Nowadays many people give up as soon as something does not go like they expected or some problems start to choke them. I will tell you honestly that it is not hard to go through different problems with dignity, – you must learn it. It does not happen automatically; you must prepare yourself for it. If we won’t prepare ourselves ahead of time, then at difficult times we will fail and give up. Lack of discipline and preparation will create instability in our lives and will hinder our progress.
  • The person who daily fills his heart with God’s Word has several advantages II

    2. God’s Word is the best ‘cleansing agent’ for a human heart. That is sufficient reason why we need to read God’s Word. The Word cleanses me. Jesus already cleansed me by His Blood when I got saved. I am clean and have access to God without any condemnation. Yet, I still need to experience daily cleansing.
