Will you become a person like Noah for your generation?

Beloved children of God, I salute the ones reading “Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”. Today I want to share a lesson from Noah’s life. Let’s focus on God’s Word.
„And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the Lord said: “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.” (Genesis 6:6-8).
The word I would like us to ponder upon is very simple: But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. What special thing had Noah done that he had gained this grace and favor in the eyes of the Lord? What character traits had Noah shown at the time when God was getting ready to destroy the whole world and everything He had created? What traits is God looking for in a human being, in a leader, so that the will of God would be fulfilled on the earth and so that His creation would be preserved? Only Noah and his family were kept alive after the great flood had come upon the earth. It was through Noah that life on the earth was maintained and continued after the flood. What character traits is God looking for in people so that they could be used by Him just like He used Noah? I would like you to notice three things in the life of Noah that the Scripture talks about.
„This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.” (Genesis 6:9)
  1. Noah was a just man. 2. Noah was a just and perfect man in his kin and his generation. 3. Noah walked with God. When God finds a man like that, He establishes His covenant with him.
„But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall go into the ark – you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.” (Genesis 6:18)
A person that can be used by God and trusted by God to do everything that is needed does not necessarily have to be a person with great talent and ability or a special physical gift. God uses and trusts a person that is able to hear God’s voice on a daily basis and follows the leadership of His Spirit. Noah was such a person. Noah had his weaknesses, but he walked with God. Noah was very close to God. And it was this walking with God that made him a just man. The righteousness of Noah was what qualified him for the work of God – for rescuing the human race from total destruction. This particular quality helped Noah to save the lives of his family members from unavoidable death. Today Noah is an example of a person that God desires to use. God is still searching for people who are just like Noah so that the world we live in can be changed for better. Today God is asking you: “Will you become a person like Noah for your generation?” Please, think about it today and may God speak to you. Be blessed!Until tomorrow! Pastor Rufus Ajiboy

  • Our highest calling – to reveal God in our flesh

The Bible says: «For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him» (John, 1:17-18).The law can never save people because the law only reveals the sinful nature of man. The law was given in order for people to realize their need for God and His help. It was Jesus who brought to us the truth and the grace that conveys spiritual power necessary to live in accordance with God’s will. Anyone who will accept this truth and grace will have the power to live a holy life and become an instrument in God’s hand that is able to manifest or declare God’s truth and grace to other people.
  • Worthy Goal for Life II

Yesterday we started talking about our goals. Everyone has them. We discussed that there are worthy and less worthy goals. We also saw that after meeting Christ, Paul devoted his life to Him; earnest expectation of Christ to be glorified in his body and through his life became his main goal in life. It is very important to ascertain for ourselves what our goals are.You and I have been justified by faith in Jesus Christ and we have peace with God. But it is just the beginning. Having been reconciled with God is just the beginning of the Christian walk. What awaits us afterwards? Through faith we gain Access to God’s grace and we expect the glory of God to be progressively revealed in us and through us.
  • The reward of faithful service in the Kingdom of God

One of the rewards of faithful service in the Kingdom of God is prosperity. The Bible says God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrew 11: 6). Jesus also said those who seek first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness will be rewarded with the necessities of life. Our God is a God who sees in the secret and who rewards us openly, so other can see it. God will never forget your work and the labour of love you showed towards His Name (Hebrew 6:10).
  • Discipline is one of the ways how God transforms His children into the image of Jesus Christ

We can miss many important and useful opportunities in life if we underestimate what is going on in our lives. God’s discipline is one of these opportunities. Believers have a tendency to despise the discipline of their Heavenly Father. Yet in the Epistle to Hebrews The Lord is calling us to resist the wrong attitude of some believers towards God’s discipline. It says in the Bible: « My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him» (Hebrews, 12:5). The believers that are focused on comfort usually are indifferent towards the truth of God disciplining them. Some of them aren’t even bothered by their sins or irresponsibility. People like that want to be blessed by God, yet they despise God’s discipline. The Bible also tells us that punishment is profitable for us and not God.
  • Do not live without vision!

Today I would like to share with you a word about building or constructing your future. The truth is that we are a product of what we see. In order for us to reach any goals in life, we have to first see (visualize or imagine) them. So many people do not advance and move forward because of the lack of vision; they only live in the ‘now’. Very often people do not have any future plans; they do not have a clue of what goals they want to reach in this life.
  • Prayer is petitioning God and receiving from Him II

Prayer is one of the ways to find out the will of God. Why did Jesus say that He did nothing but what He saw His Father do? Why did Jesus pray? Why did He do what He did? Because He sought the will of God in prayer and received the revelation of God’s will.Let’s look at Moses. God gave Moses the law; God told him to deal with the nation according to it. But while the nation of Israel was in desert Moses faced different situation that were not described in the law.
