Don’t ever allow anything or anybody to stop you from serving.

Good day friends!

Today, the word the Lord laid on my heart to share with you, simply put, is this: serve your way out of your dungeon. There are a lot of examples of how people changed their status in life by faithfully serving God and others. Joseph of the Bible is an example worth emulating.

Genesis 39: 20-23

This passage records how Joseph was thrown into the prison unjustly. The next chapter describes the reaction of Joseph to the injustice that was done to him. How did he react? He kept on serving His God by serving people. He refused to focus on how badly he had been treated or how life had been unjust to him. Rather, Joseph concentrated on moving ahead in life by serving people through his spiritual gift.

Genesis 40: 2-4

Friends, no matter how badly people or life itself has treated you, if you want to move ahead in life you have to learn how to focus on the right thing and choose the right life position. If, despite all the odds of life, you can still focus on using your gifts and talents, if you can still continue to serve people, then you will soon be able to change your status.
That is exactly what happened to Joseph. As he served these two officers of Pharaoh instead of concentrating on the offenses of others, the door to his throne opened to him easily. Pharaoh sent for Joseph and fetched him out of the prison.

Genesis 41: 9-14

  • Are you in the pit right now because of what other people did to you?
  • Has your sweet and prosperous life been disrupted by the wickedness of people or some natural disaster?
  • Do you think life is unjust to you?
  • Are you struggling to make ends meet despite your hard labour and great efforts?

Stop complaining! Stop wasting your time planning on how to retaliate! Stop playing your self-pity game! Stop playing the blame game!

Move ahead in life. Concentrate on how you can cultivate and develop the gifts and talents God has given you. Serve the people God has put in your life. Focus on how you can please God by loving and serving other people and attending to the needs around you. Before you know it, you will have turned all evil plans against you into fortune.

The Bible says it is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35).

Jesus said that the way to greatness is through service.

“But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; and whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:” (Matthew 20:26–27).

The way to your throne is through serving, so learn to serve your way up.
Ministry is a ladder that leads to the high place God has ordained for you in life.

God’s word to you today is this: don’t ever allow anything or anybody to stop you from serving.

Remember, when you serve or give, you actually benefit more than the people you are serving.

Remain blessed!

Today I would like to share with you a word about building or constructing your future. The truth is that we are a product of what we see. In order for us to reach any goals in life, we have to first see (visualize or imagine) them. So many people do not advance and move forward because of the lack of vision; they only live in the ‘now’. Very often people do not have any future plans; they do not have a clue of what goals they want to reach in this life.

  • The lordship of Jesus Christ III

God reigns on the earth and in heaven. When we talk about the lordship of Jesus, we mean that His rule covers everything and everybody. We have already mentioned that God has shared His rule with the mankind, having entrusted people with authority and dominion on the earth. Adam and Eve were given authority to rule on the earth, because God Himself wanted that.

  • Poverty and failure have roots and laziness is an obvious one

One of the reasons for spiritual coldness and lukewarmness is negligence and laziness. Marital failure, financial poverty, failure in ministry and many other forms of poverty can all be traced back to the same root of negligence or dealing with a slack hand.“He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich” (Proverbs 10:4)

  • Presence of God V

God so desires for us to seek Him early in the morning. He so desires for us to return to Him. He wants to heal us and to bind up our wounds. God so wants to revive and restore us, so that we could live before Him. When we seek the Lord, when we seek to know Him, He comes and immerses us into His presence; He pours out His rain on us and waters the earth.Yesterday we talked about how Moses set up a tabernacle outside the camp for all seekers of the Lord. We also saw that instead of entering the tabernacle and seeking the face of the Lord, Israelites were simply observing how Moses spoke to God and how God answered Moses.

This question helps us to realize that how much we know about God affects the level of our faith. When a person believes that there is nothing impossible for God, that person has a particular attitude towards life, a particular reaction to hardships, a particular spiritual attitude that appears when he or she runs into difficult problems that do not change for a long time.

  • The importance of favouring the Kingdom of God

The point is that favour can be sown not just in relation to other people, but also in relation to God and His work on the earth.
