The law of harvest and multiplication

Peace be unto you, dear friends! I greet you on this wonderful day and pray that God assists you in all your endeavors and grants you success in everything you do today. Today I will like to begin a new theme: „The law of harvest and multiplication”.As a base we will use a passage from Mark chapter 4, where Jesus Himself was speaking in parables. In this chapter there are three parables, through which Jesus explains the power and the potential hidden in a small seed. First I would like to simply recount these parables, but later we will look at each of them in more detail. The first parable that Jesus talked about is the parable of the sower. This parable shows that there is a whole list of obstacles that make it difficult for seeds to grow and bear fruit. In this parable, Jesus went ahead to show us three types of obstacles which can impede the growth of the seeds that we sow. (Mark 4:3-20) Afterward Jesus told the parable of growing seeds, which is written in Mark (4:26-29). The purpose of this parable is to show us that, if we sow our seeds and, while doing so, remove all the unnecessary hindrances for the growth of these seeds, then an invariable rule comes into effect – these seeds, independently from us, will surely grow. We only need to do our part – sow the seeds and clear the obstacles in the way – then these seeds will certainly grow. The next parable, told by Jesus, is the parable of a mustard seed (Mark 4:31-32). In this parable Jesus tells us of the potential hidden in a tiny seed. The potential in even the smallest of seeds is enormous. A small seed can become a vast garden. It doesn’t matter, how small our seeds are; what is important is what we do with them. If we sow our seeds, then there is a high probability that these seeds will grow and bear magnificent fruit. Today I want us to think about the fact that there is great power in a seed. The Bible tells us that God created everything with its own seed inside of it.
‘And God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” And it was so. The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.’ (Genesis 1:11-12)
My dear friends, from the very beginning of our lives, God has given us seeds, and these seeds are God’s instruments for your influence, for your greatness, for your blessings. These seeds will determine your future. It is very important, what you do with the seeds that God has given you. We will speak of this in more detail tomorrow.May God bless you and may you walk in His peace! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

«For if we judge ourselves, we would not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world» (1 Corinthians, 11:31-32).So God chastises His children not for His own pleasure, but for our correction and for us to participate in His holiness. God does that in order for us to bring forth the peaceful fruit of righteousness and not to be condemned with the world.
  • We must walk not only before God, but also before people God has set as overseers in our lives

I must note that ‘accountability group’ (small group, home group) is not the place where you only share your problems or weaknesses. Of course, accountability implies all of it. But if we only do that, then there is no time for instruction or feed-back, and then this group can turn into a place of gossip and slandering.Accountability group or Christian fellowship is the place of learning where we all strive to be more like Jesus. We do it through questions and answers, Bible study, prayer; we listen to each other and support each other.
  • Piety

Many people have learned to call upon the name of God, but they do not have a slightest idea of the fear of the Lord. It is very important to understand that our provision depends not only on our ability to call upon God, but also on the level of the fear of God in our lives. My lifestyle is what determines the power of my prayers. Anyone who calls upon God must also fear God, – and that is what it means to call upon God in truth.«The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth» (Psalm, 145: 18).
  • Everything that is hidden will unavoidably be brought into the light

«For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil» (Ecclesiastes, 12:14). Solomon said the same thing Jesus said: God will bring into judgment our every work and especially all the hidden works: sins, wrongdoings that we have tried to keep in secret. God will openly bring our every deed into the light of His judgment. It means that all our sins will follow us wherever we go. The only way we can avoid the consequences of our sins and wrongdoings – is to repent before God brings them into the judgment. Repentance opens to us the door of mercy and grace from the Lord. It brings into our life new opportunities from the Lord. For this reason the only right lifestyle and the only correct decision is to repent of our wrongdoings so that God won’t have to judge us.

Nevertheless, there are four possible God´s answers to the right prayer said by the right person.First answer – we pray and receive an immediate answer. It works this way in the life of newly born Christians, but not only. Also Peter received an immediate answer to his prayer. He called to the Lord for help when he started to drown, and the answer came immediately – Jesus stretched His hand to save Peter´s life.
