What are the benefits of pain and suffering at the time? IV

Peace of the Lord be multiplied unto you on this wonderful day!For several days in a row we have been discussing the potentional advantages hidden in pain and sufferings. We have looked at 6 of those advantages.Nevertheless, I must say that all these positive things are potential, but not automatic. Problems in themselves do not make us mature. In reality, problems make many people a lot worse, more angry and cruel. In order for our problems to turn into advantages, our reaction to them, our actions in general must be right. Today I want to share with you certain truths that will help you spiritually grow while going through problems.Revelation about inevitability of problemsIn order for us to learn react to problems and pain in a correct manner we need a revelation about the fact that while we live in this world there will be no end to pain and hardships. For as long as sin exists on the earth pain won’t cease in people’s lives. We suffer not only due to our own sins and wrong decisions, but also due to the sins and wrong decisions of other people.Joshua and Caleb, as well as the whole generation of Israel that finally entered the Promised Land were forced to wander through the wilderness for almost 40 years. Why? We know that Joshua and Caleb had a different spirit and they believed God and walked in obedience. Nevertheless, due to the wrong decisions made by other people they had to suffer and wander in the wilderness for all that time. The same way we have to understand that we cannot avoid hardships and pain in this world. This revelation must equip us so that we not only expect the problems, but also react to them in a right manner. We should not let problems and pain be a surprise to us.
“For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting fro the adoption, the redemption of our body”(Romans, 8:22-23).
In the Scripture above we see that we’re not the only ones suffering, but the whole creation together with us groans about the condition of the world. In another translation of the Bible, these verses say:“All around us we see expectant (pregnant) creation. Hard times of pain in this world are just birth pangs. But it is not happening only around us; it is also inside of us, since God’s Spirit awakens us from the inside. We also feel the birth pangs. Our empty, fruitless bodies long for the full deliverance”.Dear friends, most people in this world experience hard, painful times! And the fact that we are believers does not make us an exception. But unlike the others we have „the firstfruits of the Spirit” inside of us, who teaches us and equips us for the victory until the full redemption of our bodies. If you are believers, then you should not fear the tragedies that happen in this world, because God has already provided the solution for every situation. He has also placed in us ‘the downpayment” of redemption – the Holy Spirit, so that we know how to wait for the adoption and redemption of our body. In other words, we can look at the things happening around us with hope, because God will never leave His children in trouble. We will continue tomorrow.Be blessed!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • The lordship of Jesus Christ II

«The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies» (Psalm 110:1-2).This passage talks about Christ: «Rule in the midst of Your enemies», but the Body of Christ — His Church — is included in this prophetic word. Jesus was told to sit at the right hand of God; but it would be God’s children that would overcome God’s enemies and every thing that rise against the will of God. God wants us to rule and reign in the midst of the enemies and unfavourable circumstances. We must rule because we have been given God’s authority and we were born conquerors.
  • Lay hold on eternal life! II

«But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses» (1Timothy, 6:11-12).We say that these three things help us to lay hold on eternal life. We also established that eternal life has its beginning on earth when we get to know the only true God and His Son Jesus Christ.
  • The example of accountability in the life of apostle Paul

Who was Paul? He is the greatest apostle ever, one who wrote 2/3 of the New Testament. He had access to the revelations like nobody else. He got to know God more than any other apostles.«Regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, wrote to you». (2nd Peter 3:15).
  • Jesus and God´s will

esus is our model in everything. He is the Author, the Master and the Maintainer of our faith. Therefore, Jesus set an example for us, so that we can follow his steps.«For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps» (1 Peter 2:21).From the very beginning of His life on this Earth Jesus was clearly aware of His goal. He was extraordinary passionate to the business of His Father in His Spirit. There is a story from Jesus childhood in the Bible, it tells us how He was growing and becoming strong in spirit
  • The seed contains tremendous potential

Our attitude towards God’s Word is very important. God sends His Word into our lives so that His Word would bring to us that which we need. In order for the seed of God’s Word to grow in our hearts, the condition of our hearts is particularly important. «For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing which I sent it.» (Isaiah 55:10-11).
  • Accountability allows us to submerge in Christ

Accountability makes us strong and unites us to the other believers; it also kills the “I am a lone island” thinking. This type of thinking has caused many problems that the Body of Christ still suffers from.God does not want you to be an island that is separated and independent of the other brothers and sisters in Christ. We are not only responsible to being accountable ourselves; we also need to call others to accountability and help them with it.
