The importance of favouring the Kingdom of God

Good day to you, friends! May God’s favour follow you throughout this day!We have established that favour is a seed and each one of us releases the power of favour in our lives by sowing the seed of favour in the lives of other people.Today I want to show you the importance of favouring the Kingdom of God. The point is that favour can be sown not just in relation to other people, but also in relation to God and His work on the earth. Your attitude towards the work of the Kingdom will determine the level of Kingdom blessings operating in your life.
«You will rise and have mercy of Zion; for the time to favour her, yes, the set time, has come. For Your servants take pleasure in her stones, and show favour to her dust So the nations shall fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth Your glory» (Psalm 102:13-15).
The name „Zion” means the city of God or the church of the living God.
«But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels» (Hebrews, 12: 22).
The author of Psalm 102 says that he together with others take pleasure even in the stones of Zion and show favour to her dust. They are zealous about God’s Kingdom and that is why they could ask God to arise and have mercy on Zion and to defend it. What does this tell us? When you show favour towards Zion, you are calling forth the power of God’s favour in your own life. When you show favour towards the Kingdom of God, you release the stream of supernatural favour in your life. If you want God to give you favour, you should show favour towards the works of God’s Kingdom. When you are actively involve in the things of the Kingdom, that is how you show favour toward the Kingdom. By being practically involved and committed to the projects of God’s Kingdom, as well as being faithful in the area of giving of your finances, time and talents so that God’s Kingdom would be established and expanded, you are provoking the favour of God for yourself. When we sow our finances, time, talents and abilities into the work of the Kingdom, we release the power of God’s favour into our lives. This is exactly what Jesus meant when He said,
«But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness» (Mathew, 6: 33).
King David enjoyed God’s favour in his life, because he was a man after God’s heart who loved God and showed favour to His works. Here is what God said about David,
«And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, „I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will» (Acts, 13: 22).
God saw faithfulness in David’s heart and for this reason He could declare about David that he will fulfil all the desires of God’s heart. David was fully committed to God and never withheld anything from Him, so God was fully committed to David and withheld nothing from him. Here is one episode from David’s life that demonstrates his commitment to God and God’s work:
«Furthermore King David said to all the assembly: “My son Solomon, whom alone God has chosen, is young and inexperienced; and the work is great, because the temple is not for man but for the Lord God. Now for the house of my God I have prepared with all my might: gold for things to be made of gold, silver for things of silver, bronze for things of bronze, iron for things of iron, wood for things of wood, onyx stones, stones to be set, glistening stones of various colours, all kings of precious stones, and marble slabs in abundance. Moreover, because I have set my affections on the house of my God, I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, my own special treasure of gold and silver» (1 Chronicles, 29: 1-3).
Without a sincere hunger and love for God, every kind of giving towards the work of God will be a heavy burden for us. However, when you have a heart that loves God and seek after Him, then everything that is about Him will turn you on like an automatic switch. Giving yourself to the purposes of God will become a natural thing to you, and you will even begin to look for opportunities to be a blessing to the Kingdom of God.Remember that favour is a seed. Sow yourself continuously into the promoting of God’s work and expanding His Kingdom and you will see more and more blessing of God being released into different areas of your life!We will continue tomorrow!Good luck to you this day! • Value God’s Word! IV

Today I would like to continue talking about the importance of God’s Word.We saw what God spoke through Moses that God’s Word is our life. We also talked about the fact that our attitude towards the Word can either prolong our life or shorten it. We have already seen in the parables of Jesus that our attitude towards God’s Word determines the strength of our foundation, our life and all the things we are building. Yesterday we also talked about the fact that God’s Word is able to change our disappointments into joy, bankruptcy – into abundance. We saw all of it in the life of Peter. I would like for us to look at the verses that talk about Peter when he was utterly failing and ready to give up.
  • Prayer is submitting to the will of God

When we pray we place ourselves in submission to God’s will for our lives. The very fact that you come to God in prayer is the proof of your submission to God.The Bible tells us to pray always; it is the command of the Lord. That is why when I come to God in prayer then the very act of praying places me in the position of submission to this command. In other words, if I don’t pray, thus I demonstrate the lack of submission to the will of God; because praying is the command of God.
  • God doesn’t want us to give up!

Nowadays many people give up as soon as something does not go like they expected or some problems start to choke them. I will tell you honestly that it is not hard to go through different problems with dignity, – you must learn it. It does not happen automatically; you must prepare yourself for it. If we won’t prepare ourselves ahead of time, then at difficult times we will fail and give up. Lack of discipline and preparation will create instability in our lives and will hinder our progress.
  • Let God do His work in your life. There is only good in Him!

God was following His goal – to change His prophet character. God also wants to change me and you. To accomplish this goal He would allow serious problems in our life, if necessary. God can destroy things that prevent us from changing, because He can easily create the same things again afterwards.
  • Lust brings sin, and sin brings death II

Lust is a strong desire or passion to something forbidden or unlawful. For example, the Bible says coveting your neighbour’s wife or his property is unlawful.«“You shall not covet your neighbour’s house. You shall not covet your neighbour’s wife, nor his man-servant, nor his maid-servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbour’s.”» (Exodus 20:17).
