What we do with our potential?

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace” (Numbers, 6:24-26).May this day begin for you with these amazing words of blessing! May the mercy and grace of the Lord surround you today!God has good intentions for His children. He desires for every one of us to be successful in this life. In order for that to happen God has given EVERY ONE of His children gifts and talents. Each person’s talents are unique, but their purpose is the same: to serve God’s Kingdom and to communicate its values!For some time now we have been talking about what we do with our talents. In other words, what we do with our potential?A talent is almost the same as potential. The parable of talents could just as well be called the parable of potential. Potential is something unfinished that can be developed and completed. In the beginning potential can be invisible, but it nevertheless exists. In order to transform potential into reality, it must be developed. Based on the potential given to you, you can change your present condition. There is a beginning of change in you and everything you need to change your life. You have to develop your potential and bring it to completion.I want to say that there is huge potential in the Body of Christ: great ministers, great evangelists, pastors, prophets, scientists, businessmen etc. We talk about it all the time. But God wants us not just talk about our potential, but to become the people that have fully developed it. I don’t want people simply talking about the great potential, but to see it in action. You do not need to be a prophet to say that someone has a great potential. There are no people on this earth that do not have great potential inside of them. God has placed it into us. The problem is that we often do not want to move forward and to develop this potential inside of us. God desires us to do something with it. What we do with our talents and our potential determines whether we will become the people God has intended us to be.God will not only judge our actions; He will also judge our idleness. Being idle can grieve God. What we say is just as important as what we do not say. For example, we can praise God and for this reason God has given us a mouth. There is a tremendous potential sealed in our lips; we can say the right things, praise God, encourage and inspire people. But at the – and that is a sin. That is why God will judge both our actions and our idleness. Use your talents! Do your best for the Kingdom of God and you will see the flow of God’s blessings in your life.Wise king Solomon said:
«Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might» (Ecclesiastes, 9:10).

    Do you know that you are not all you could be yet? Only the Lord knows who you are created to be and He wants to make you become who you are really created to be. That is why He said “I will make you”.Peter and His brother were created to be Fishers of men, but they did not know that until they started to follow Christ.The bible said they straightway left their nets, and followed him. Their destiny was changed that very day. That was the point the Lord began to make them into who they were created to be.

  • All great things always start small and insignificant

    Yesterday we began talking about how all great things always start small and insignificant. In order to enter the fullness of your calling and ministry, we need to do what is revealed to us today whatever that would be. Your knowledge, your experience and your mind – these are all gifts from God which we can use in serving people. When you serve people with your gifts, then these gifts make room for you. «A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men» (Proverbs, 18: 16).Studying the church history, we see that all of God’s generals didn’t start big. These people used what they had and did whatever they could. They began using the abilities they had. Eventually, their gifts found their place in the Body of Christ and grew into large ministries.

  • What sin means?

    When a person does not submit to God’s Word and despises His instructions, he or she sins. God has particular plan or will for every area of person’s life and it is spelled out in the Bible. But when you life according to your own wishes and do not pay attention to what God says about it, then tragedies are inevitable. For some time it may seem that you have outsmarted God, but this deceptive feeling won’t last long. These people sat in darkens and the shadow of death; they were bound in grief because they did not submit to God’s Word and despised His will.«Fools, because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, were afflicted. Their souls abhorred all manner of food, and they drew near to the gates of death» (Psalm, 107:17-18).

  • The life of Jesus was described to us so that we learn from Him to take His yoke and His burden

    According to the Bible, God´s highest goal for us is make us in likeness of Christ. He wants us to be like Jesus. Though, it doesn´t happen in at blink of an eye, it´s rather a process that develops as we allow the God´s word and other God´s means on to influence us. Spending your time with Jesus by reading the word of God and praying, fellowship with other christians, decently overcoming difficulties and pain – all these things help you to transform more and more, just as it happened to Jesus disciples.

  • What did you do with Jesus Christ, the Son of God? What did you do with all those resources that were given to you by Him?

    How will you answer these questions? It is very important to answer these questions already now. This is why we invite all members of the church to actively serve God. The desire to serve God will prompt the believer to think – what can I do? What do I know and how can i use that for the benefit of the Kingdom? what do I have already, and what can I share with others? How can I use my experience in serving other people, in honor of the Lord?
