The lordship of Jesus Christ

May the peace and grace from our Lord Jesus Christ be multiplied unto you in abundance this day!Today I would like to start on the topic of the lordship of Jesus Christ. The phrase „Jesus is Lord!” is quite often used by the children of God. But being the children of God, we cannot treat this concept in a superficial or religious manner. The lordship of Jesus has a deep spiritual meaning. We should not casually proclaim or declare His lordship without the correct understanding of what it really implies. God wants us today to discover for ourselves what the true essence of the lordship of Jesus is and to act accordingly.I pray that the Lord would open our understanding and give us a revelation of how important this subject is.When we say that Jesus is Lord, – it means that His rule, power, authority and government embraces everyone and everything, including the enemy of the humanity – Satan. Satan hates everything that is the will of God; he loves what God hates and he hates what God loves.But regardless of Satan’s aggression and hostility, God has given us a command to demonstrate His lordship in the name of Jesus Christ in all the areas of our life. This is the calling or the assignment that God has given to humans. When we realize the importance of the lordship of Jesus Christ, we will be able to exercise this calling which God has given to us as His children. God desires His children to rule and reign on this earth.It says in Genesis (1:28) that God gave the man an assignment:
«Then God blessed them, and God said to them, „Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth”».
We see here that God blessed the man and gave him some work to do in this life. First, God told the man to be fruitful, which means to create according to his likeness people like himself – the ones that know God and reflect His image and character.Then God told him to multiply. It means that the number of people on this earth had to grow and spread the fruit of righteousness and purity that God had placed in the people He had created.Then God told the man to fill the earth, to fill it to its fullness.And God did not stop there. He also told the first people to subdue the earth. To subdue the earth means to destroy every hindrance, every power that rose against the will of God in this earth.Besides that, God told the man to have dominion ”over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth”. Dominion implies ruling over the things you have been placed over. God wants us to rule and have dominion in all the areas of our life.God knows that there are powers that rise against His goals and intentions for the earth, because God has blessed the mankind and has delegated to the people authority to rule and govern in His name.But in order to do it effectively, we need to arm ourselves with the revelation of the lordship of Jesus. Nothing can stop the man who has the revelation of the lordship of Jesus and lives according to it!Remember today that JESUS IS LORD over all of your circumstances!Tomorrow we will continue on this topic.Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

    Why does Satan hate it and is afraid of the prayers of the children of God? This is because in a prayer, we and God become a team – an invincible team. In the Book of Daniel, there is a description of an event when a certain group of people prompted the king to issue a law prohibiting contact in a prayer with the living God. Except for the living God, they were allowed to pray any other gods. They were allowed to ask for help to people, but not only living God. And it was Satan´s plan. Why does Satan put these obstacles? Because he realized that the prayer is power.

  • Preparation of the way of the Lord III

    We have established that God only comes when we have prepared the way for Him. We can do that by ministering to Him and fulfilling His calling in our lives. We pointed out that we have to use all possible means to preach the Gospel of Kingdom in this world, because that is the necessary prerequisite for the Coming of the Lord in glory and power.     The principle of love protects our hearts, emotions and our life from injuries and bruises. Hatred, evil, betrayal, cruelty and lack of understanding among people will multiply at the last days. Jesus never sinned, while people back-bit Him anyway. But, how Jesus reacted to that back-biting? He never replied with back-biting, never tried to overcome evil with evil. He knew it would not work this way, quite opposite it would have increased the amount of evil, pain, emotional injuries and hatred in the life of a person who tries to overcome evil with evil.

In order for us to reach any goals in life, we have to first see (visualize or imagine) them. So many people do not advance and move forward because of the lack of vision; they only live in the ‘now’. Very often people do not have any future plans; they do not have a clue of what goals they want to reach in this life.
