The lordship of Jesus Christ II

Dear friends, welcome to the “Daily Word for Spiritual Edification.” I trust that this word that contains God’s wisdom will strengthen you and lift up your spirit.

We have been talking about the lordship of Jesus and about what it means for us in our daily lives. Yesterday we saw that the lordship of Jesus implies His rule over everything and everyone. We also saw that the Lord desires to exercise His lordship on this earth through His Body which is the Church.

The Bible says that we live in the midst of enemies.

«The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies» (Psalm 110:1-2).

This passage talks about Christ: «Rule in the midst of Your enemies», but the Body of Christ – His Church – is included in this prophetic word. Jesus was told to sit at the right hand of God, but it would be God’s children that would overcome God’s enemies and everything that rises against the will of God. God wants us to rule and reign in the midst of the enemies and unfavourable circumstances. We must rule because we have been given God’s authority and we were born conquerors.

«For whatever is born of God overcomes the world…» (1 John, 5:4).

We must be the ones overcoming and not the ones to be overcome! God is not afraid of anything, because He rules and reigns over everything. God is the Ruler! He wants us to express our faith and authority as rulers on this earth.

God wants every one of us to live above the circumstances and not ‘under the circumstances.’ God desires us to exercise the authority and rule of Jesus over all things and circumstances and to subdue all things that rise against the will of God in our lives and on this earth.

«For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ» (2 Corinthians, 10: 3-5).

God has already given us authority over this earth. Do not forget that

“Whatever is born of God overcomes the world.» (1 John 5:4).

God bless you!

Till tomorrow!

Lust is a strong desire or passion to something forbidden or unlawful. • Why we need the favour? II

«And the Lord had given the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they granted them what they requested» (Exodus, 12: 36)When God gave favour to the children to Israel, in one day they took away from the Egyptians an enormous amount of silver and gold. For 400 years the Israelites had worked in Egypt as slaves; they were mocked and oppressed. However, in one moment the favour of God restored to them everything the Egyptians were holding back from them. In a blink of an eye they were made rich.

  • All great things always start small and insignificant

Yesterday we began talking about how all great things always start small and insignificant. In order to enter the fullness of your calling and ministry, we need to do what is revealed to us today whatever that would be. Your knowledge, your experience and your mind – these are all gifts from God which we can use in serving people. When you serve people with your gifts, then these gifts make room for you. «A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men» (Proverbs, 18: 16).Studying the church history, we see that all of God’s generals didn’t start big. These people used what they had and did whatever they could. They began using the abilities they had. Eventually, their gifts found their place in the Body of Christ and grew into large ministries.

  • God’s purpose for the earth and the role of people in it III

Today many people mostly emphasize different manifestations, anointing, gifts, talents and personal development. All of these things are important. But if we neglect the development of God’s character in us and do not make it a priority, if we forget to draw near to God and fellowship with Him, then we are doing not the will of God, but instead carrying out our own will. And as a result we are not able to bring glory to God.

  • Life is a test

Once we understand our life is a test, many questioned get solved by themselves and we can rejoice and enjoy our life. Those who understand that life is a test, they treat every difficult situation as an opportunity, not as an obstacle. The Bible often tells us how God tests His children. He is not doing it because He hates us nor because He wants to see our fall. Not at all! God puts us in test for few reasons. God blessed Abraham with a son first, then tested him asking to sacrifice his son on the altar. God allowed ordeals in Job’s life, then Job went through all that horror and bitterness.

  • Walking in holiness, loving God and people will help us to change and transform into the likeness of Jesus Christ!

«But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law». (Galatians 5:22-23).These are the changes God wants to make in us. He doesn´t want us to be people with “big head” and with “small heart”. Neither it´s His intention to see us as those who only hold a form of godliness, but having denied the power thereof. Bible invites us to turn away from such people.
