How does a truly responsible person look like? II

Greetings to you, dear friends! I am grateful to God for every one of you who visits our homepage in order to feed on the Word. The Word of God is the bread of life; it points the way; it helps and inspires and helps our faith to grow. God’s Word helps the responsible people, the ones that are doers of the Word.Yesterday we started to look at the portrait of a responsible person. We saw that a responsible person does not forget what he has been assigned to do; he records and accomplishes it. Besides, a responsible person keeps his word and promises; also a responsible person does not blame others for his problems, but looks for the reasons in his own life and eliminates them.Let’s continue to discuss this portrait. A responsible person is organized, disciplined and diligent even when nobody watches him or her. Such a person determines what he needs to do, when he needs to do it and makes the necessary effort to accomplish it. A responsible person submits to what he needs to do. Since he understands the importance of being responsible, he cannot be idle or inert. A responsible person effectively uses his time, his energy and his resources.
  1. A responsible person is trustworthy and reliable.
If you entrust something to a responsible person, you have peace about it, because it will be done. A responsible person will not fail you even if he is not able to do something; – he will find someone to substitute him or her and will make sure that the assignment is completed.
  1. A responsible person is faithful, loyal and honest
What do you do when nobody looks and watches you?I remember myself being a teenager; my father told me to sow corn. He showed me how to do it. I had to plant 2-3 corn seeds in a particular distance from one another. While my father was watching me, I did a good job; when he realized that I have grasped the idea he left to do other things. I wanted to finish the job quickly, so I poured out all the seed in one spot, decided that the job is done and went to play with my friends. I went to my father and told him that I didn’t have any more seed. My father thanked me and let me play. But the time came for the corn to grow up and it became obvious what kind of job I had done. Because of my irresponsibility my father was forced to plant corn all over, even though it was almost too late. The lack of responsibility will follow us, because what we sow will eventually grow up! It says in the Paul’s Epistle to Galatians (6:7),
«Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will not also reap».
Test the seed you have been sowing in your life! Is it the seed of responsibility or irresponsibility? The quality of life depends on it. We will continue tomorrow!God bless you!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • The reward of faithful service in the Kingdom of God

One of the rewards of faithful service in the Kingdom of God is prosperity. The Bible says God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrew 11: 6). Jesus also said those who seek first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness will be rewarded with the necessities of life. Our God is a God who sees in the secret and who rewards us openly, so other can see it. God will never forget your work and the labour of love you showed towards His Name (Hebrew 6:10).
  • God is looking for fruits in your life!

«Lord, I desire to bear more fruits in my life. I am asking You to cleanse me, so that I become capable of bearing more fruits. I accept God’s grace to stay on the vine tree. I shall bear much fruits for God in Jesus Name!»The Bible says we should grow until we reach perfection in Christ (see Ephesians, Chapter 4). Therefore, it doesn’t matter how anointed and fruitful you are now, there is a higher level prepared for you by God – the higher level of effectiveness and fertility.
  • What are the grounds or foundations of favour? III

“Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.” (2 Tim.2:19)Practical righteousness is the solid foundation on which to build your Christian life and ensure that you receive God’s favour. If as a Christian you still continue to live in sin and make it part of your lifestyle, then you are eliminating yourself from God’s favour.
  • Changes always come from praying! III

During the past few days we have been talking about the idea of a person being the main initiator of the miracles he needs in his life. In order for God to be able to do something supernatural in the individual’s life this individual must create the natural platform or foundation for this miracle. When you mix your distress with prayer, then the miracle will surely happen and you will have true and undisputable proof of God’s miracle and His supernatural intervention.
  • The devil as the source of tragedy

You might want to ask why the devil (and not God) is the ruler of this earth. The answer is that God entrusted the rulership of the earth to humans for a time and He cannot take it back before the set time. «May you be blessed by the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’s; but the earth He has given to the children of men» (Psalm, 115:15-16).
  • God doesn’t want us to give up! III

First of all, God ”will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able”. Maybe you don´t even feel that He is keeping all your situations under control but as a matter of fact, He has already set the limit of your hardships. God will not let things, that are above what you can bear, enter your life. You probably underestimate your own strength, but God knows better. When your reasoning is right you prevail over hardships. God will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, so you can overcome all difficulties in life – that´s the idea you should feed your mind with.
