Presence of God II

Good morning, dear friends!Glory to God for this wonderful day that God has given us today! Thank God for one more opportunity to share God’s word with you!Yesterday we started talking about God’s presence. We pointed out that it is God’s presence that separates His people from all the other nations. God’s presence is what makes us stronger and more glorious. How can we experience God’s presence in our lives?Possibly, there are several ways to do it, but it is very important to realize that it is impossible to experience God’s presence without prayer. God left the recipe of how to experience His presence in His Word.
«Draw near to God and He will draw near to you» (James, 4:8а)
We can assume that this is talking about prayer. Prayer is our privileged opportunity of drawing close to God and experiencing His presence, His love, power, mercy, grace and His wisdom.No other creature, except humans, has been given this privilege to get close to God. If people will use this opportunity, He will also feel and experience God’s presence, His glory, power and support. It brings continues renewal and freshness into a person’s life.If God tells us to draw near, so that He could draw near to us, then who determines how close or how far God will be to us? It is determined by us! A person can consciously draw close to God or not to do it. It will determine the level of God’s presence in person’s life, his family and ministry.
«Draw near to God and He will draw near to you» (James, 4:8а)
Moses refused to go anywhere unless he could secure that God would go with them.
«For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall beseparate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth» (Exodus, 33:16).
So, answering the question how a person can experience God’s presence in his life we can say the following:first, one must realize how important and indispensable God’s presence is for him or her and whether he or she is ready to pay the necessary price for it, and, second, one must consciously draw near to God in prayer so that God can draw near to him or her.Let’s continue tomorrow!God bless you!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

Because of Moses’ correct decision, millions of Jews were saved from destruction. Because of your correct decision God can bless your family, your city, your country and the whole world.If you haven’t accepted Jesus Christ as Your Lord and Saviour and you still lust for the wrong things, if you still resist God’s will and experience excessive appetite for sinful things and give in to impulses, – you need to know that by your life you multiply pain and suffering in this world.

  • Where to get joy?

    «The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes» (Psalm 19:8-9).This passage of Scriptures tells us that one of the sources of joy is God’s Word, meditation on the Word and the perception of the (our) world through the prism of the Word. That is why it is so important for us to realize that if we want to remain in joy and learn to draw joy, we must grow in love with God’s Word.

  • Concentrate on the reward, not on the pain and discomfort

    In order for us to seize the potential advantages that are hidden in pain and sufferings, we must learn the true nature and essence of sufferings. Firstly, our present pains are temporary comparing to eternal torture that awaits every person who lives a life of compromise in pursuit of personal comfort. Secondly, our present pain is light comparing to the glory of God that awaits every person who endures pains with dignity. By going through the temporary sufferings, we gain eternal glory and joy. Temporary sufferings multiply our eternal glory if endured with the right attitude.
