In order for us to do the works of Jesus, we must ask for it in prayer!

Greetings to you, dear readers! Our Lord is good and merciful!
«Your mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the clouds» (Psalm 36:5).
He has loved His church and every one of us with everlasting love! And His love is the very thing that makes sure our lives do not stay the same. God desires for us to be changed so that we would become live and fruitful. Prayer is the instrument which connects us to God and fills us with His power, anointing and ability to do the things that Jesus did.Once I preached a sermon and its title was „May God arise and His enemies be scattered!” We must allow God to arise, and only then His enemies will be scattered. We must do certain things to allow God arise. But too often it happens that we are the ones that arise and go; and when we face enemies, they overcome us and we give up. It happens because we do not allow God to go before us. God must go before us, and we must follow Him. May God arise! Jesus expects us to act wisely, since He has left us His Word.
«Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son» (John, 14:12-13).
When Jesus Himself says ‘most assuredly’, it means He wants us to pay attention. These two verses are connected. Jesus says that we can do the works that Jesus did and even more, if we pray. Jesus tried to tell His disciples that He has been given all authority in heaven and on earth and that He will represent them in heaven, because He will be sitting with Him on the heavenly throne. Jesus told His disciples that they should ask in His name and that He would do what they ask so that His Father would be glorified. In order for us to do the works of Jesus, we must ask for it in prayer. Doing the works of Jesus – it is our calling, because we do not come to church to play games or to make motions. Prayer is the beginning and the foundation of everything.I am praying for all of us to hear the message sent to us by God. I am asking God to help us have a breakthrough in prayer, and that we would pray, not just know about prayer. I am praying that every one of us put to practice the truth about prayer and have profound and consistent prayer life. God loves you even if your prayer life is not what it should be and even if it is not in order. God will never reject you, because He is our Father. God is patient. His desire is that we put our prayer life in order, and He will help us with it, because it is the foundation of our success in God’s kingdom.Till tomorrow!Peace be to you!Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Jesus came into this world that he might destroy the works of the devil and he might reveal God´s works

«He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed, that he might destroy the works of the devil.» (1st John 3:8).The devil inflicts pain, steals, murder and annihilate people, but God comes in Christ and manifests His power and mercy. In Christ God heals the sick, forgives sins, restores people lives, frees from curse and obsession by demons. A little later we will discuss the details about devil as a source of distress and sufferings people may have. Today I would like you to note that sins of other people also represent a source of pain and suffering.
  • You have been created, redeemed and restored! You were born twice!

We are not only created by God, we are also reworked or recreated by Jesus Christ. We are talking about the opportunity available to sinful people because Christ has come into this world. This is exactly what the letter to Ephesians says:«You were made alive when you were dead in transgressions and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the powers of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience; among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus; for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.» (Ephesians 2:1-10).
  • The blessedness or beauty of serving others!

Ministry is a widespread concept among believers. In essence, ministry is giving of all things: giving of one’s talents and gifts, one’s knowledge and time, one’s heart and resources. The Kingdom of God is built through such giving. Your church is built by your giving and ministry. It says in the Bible that it is more blessed to give than to receive. God blesses those who serve, so if you want to get to the top of God’s blessedness learn to serve God and people.
  • The blessedness or beauty of serving others! III

Ministry and giving determines the measure of one’s spiritual growth and maturity. It also determines how much I bear a resemblance to Jesus Christ. God wants us to grow spiritually. One of the indications of one’s spiritual growth is how he or she fulfils the needs of others. Such a person not only takes and receives, but also gives. Giving and ministry is one and the same word that determines how much of resemblance to Jesus Christ I bear.It says in the Bible that Jesus came to this earth to serve and not to be served. He is the example of a minister. Many of us want others to serve us. God says that we should minister and serve others. He wants us to be like Jesus.
  • It is the content of your heart that determines where your life is heading!

God wants His people to know His Word – the truth which sets us free from lies and sin. The Bibles says that Jesus came to give us life – life in abundance. God’s life is contained in His Word. God’s wisdom and might is contained in His Word! God wants you to realise what great treasure there is for you in His Word. This treasure is not comparable with any silver or gold. God’s Word – it is a jewel beyond price, everlasting, and it brings health, answers and solutions.
