Only those who seek will find

Peace to you, dear children of God!

Thank God for this day that God has given us. Thank God for the opportunity to abide in His Word and to draw from it power, strength and wisdom for us. Yesterday we looked at the story of Jesus feeding the multitude because of a little boy giving Him humble lunch that consisted of few loaves and fish. Jesus asked His disciples:

«How many loaves do you have? (..) And when they found out they said, “Five, and two fish» (Mark, 6:38). We began viewing some lessons that are contained in this small passage of Scripture.

First, we saw that the disciples had to go and find out how many loaves were there so that Jesus could do the miracle. Any miracle starts small. When the disciples found the little boy they found out he had five loaves and two fish, which was enough for a miracle.

You will find out what is there in you if you get diligent about seeking it out. Only those who seek will find. For example, many people only see problems. Don’t look for problems and don’t talk about them; focus on the solutions. Train your heart and your mind to find answers and solutions for different problems. As soon as you see a problem, start thinking about possible solutions for it. Start meditating on possible ways to solve it, and God will give multiple ideas for serving people.

Second important lesson I want to point out is that the disciples did not find an answer in themselves, but they did found a boy who had what was needed for the solution of the problem.

«One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him, “There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?» (John, 6: 8-9).

Not always we are able to solve problems ourselves. But we can make others aware of these problems. It is also some type of ministry when we organize people and find resources for meeting existing needs.

These two principles can help anyone who has a sincere desire to find his place in God’s Kingdom and be an effective minister of His mercy.

Don’t be idle waiting for another opportunity or some revelation from God. Start serving right now! Workers are few, and the harvest is plentiful, so start doing something for the promotion of God’s Kingdom if you want to find your place in this Kingdom. Jesus does not approve of those who are idle when there is so much to do. Jesus won’t tolerate religious excuses and phrases like: «I am seeking for God’s will. I don’t know what my ministry is. I am praying about it. I don’t know what my gift is. I don’t know where to start, so I am doing nothing».

While you are praying and seeking out God’s will, while you are trying to find out your gift and ministry, start doing something right now. Meet someone’s need in Jesus Name. Don’t waste any time; look around and you will discover the needs you can start meeting right now. Help your pastor and spiritual leaders to promote God’s Kingdom and carry out their vision until God give you yours. Gain general understanding of what they are trying to do, what are their goals, vision and purposes, and then join them with all of your heart. Then God will pleasantly surprise you, because He blesses ones who work for the good of God’s Kingdom and His children.

I wish you abundant God’s blessings!

  • Praying is pouring out your heart before God

When I pray I pour out my soul before God. I will not dwell on it for long, because we mostly know how to do it. We know how to open our hearts. As soon as we find a listening ear and as soon as we find a person we can trust, we open our hearts. We know that God is always ready to hear us out. Besides, God is totally trustworthy. It means that you can boldly come before God with everything that concerns us. That is what we call prayer. And that is why Paul says that we shouldn’t think and worry too much, but always reveal our desires before God in prayer and then His peace will fill our hearts.
  • The wisdom of repentance II

David talks about the obvious advantages that are available to a person after he has confessed his sins.1. Supernatural freedom from guilt and condemnation.« I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, „I will confess my transgression to the Lord,” and You forgave the iniquity of my sin» (Psalm 32:5). Right after we confess our sins God takes away from us the burden of guilt. When our own hearts condemn us, when we experience the guilt caused by our sins, it is extremely hard to boldly go before Godi n prayer. Feelings of guilt destroy our confidence. So, in order for us to get rid of the guilt we need to repent of our sins.
  • How to enter your ministry?

Yesterday we started discussing how we can enter our ministry. We established that, first; we need a strong desire to serve. This desire is tied to our understanding of God’s will and the purpose of our salvation. As we talked about, ministry helps us to reveal our potential. Ministry helps us to find out about ourselves, our calling in the establishment of God’s Kingdom on earth and doing the works that are pleasing to God. God has predestined for us to do particular good works. God desires for us to be fruitful and glorify Him on earth. Through our ministry God wants to fill this earth with the knowledge of Him and His Kingdom. He wants us to establish His principles in every sphere of life and win people for Him by the ministry we do on earth.
  • What else does God use in order to make necessary changes in us?

    1. God changes us through accountability. In order to change us, God often subordinates us to a person we have to give an account to. A person without responsibility is blind to see his own level of arrogance, rebellion and selfishness he has to get over. Accountability is a kind of protection from misbelief and self-deception for us.
  • The importance of having the right connection between your evenings and your mornings

What does this tell us? It tells us that God started His day in the evening. It is very important for us to borrow this wisdom from our Heavenly Father. If we get up in the morning and only then start thinking about what we need to do for the day, then we are already starting it in the wrong manner and have already starting too late. The last moment to start your day is the evening of the previous day. In the evening we need to have a composed idea of what we are doing the next day. We need to have a plan for the next day. Before we go to bed we need to have a vision for the next day. If we are too lazy to make any plans for the next day before going to bed then we are heading towards poverty both physical and spiritual. It is crucial for us to accept this wisdom from God to start the day in the evening of the previous day: «So the evening and the morning were the first day».
