A person dedicated to God is able to have joy despite of the circumstances and to always be grateful to God

Greetings to you, dear friends!I thank God for you and believe that this day will bring you many blessings as you meditate on the word God is giving you today.

Yesterday we spoke on what it means to be dedicated to God and His will. We learned that firstly it means to pursue Him continually without paying attention to different hindrances and strange gods. Secondly, it means to choose such friends and to build such relationships that help to stick to your priorities. Thirdly, it means to have a clear understanding that the real joy in life comes from being successful in the things of God that one is called to do.

A person dedicated to God is able to have joy despite of the circumstances and to always be grateful to God. «My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing» (James, 1:2-4).

A dedicated man has joy even during trials and testings and knows how to go through grief; his greatest joy is when his life goes according to God’s plan.

In order to see these principles working in your life, we should look at the life of Jesus Who clearly demonstrated what it means to be dedicated to God and doing of His will.

  1. Jesus treasured God’s will above physical food.

That does not mean that He did not eat at all; His life showed that we do not live to eat, but to fulfil God’s will.

«The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, „Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?” Then they went out of the city and came to Him. In the meantime His disciples urged Him, saying, „Rabbi, eat”. But He said to them, „I have food to eat of which you do not know.” Therefore the disciples said to one another, „Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?” Jesus said to them, „My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work” (John, 4:28-34).

In this passage of Scripture we read about Jesus showing His disciples what it means to be dedicated to God’s will and what the attitude of a committed person should be. What are you willing to give up in order to do God’s will and do His work? Are you ready to fast and pray through the night if it helps to serve God in a more effective way?

This is how you can measure your dedication! For the sake of doing God’s will Jesus easily could ignore disciples’ offer of food. Doing God’s will was the main nourishment for Jesus and it renewed His strength. Here we see the portrait of a person who is committed to God and His work.

  1. Jesus never sought something for Himself, but in everything He sought God’s will.

«Then Jesus answered and said to them, „Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. (..) I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me»(John, 5:19, 30).

Tomorrow we will talk about it in more detail.

I wish you God’s abundant blessings!

  • What do we have to do in order to witness spiritual revival filling our cities? II

We concluded that we are hands, feet, mouth and heart of our God. If we refuse to collaborate with God, He will not be able to act or fulfil His plan in our cities and our countries. We stopped at what do we have to do in order to witness spiritual revival filling our cities? To make it happen we must become obedient disciples of Jesus Christ. God uses this kind of people to fulfil His prophesies and restore His will on Earth.Obedient disciple is one who moves and works for God, not sitting and doing nothing, so God can move through such person.
  • There are three main types of believers: observers, consumers/users and servants

For several days we have been discussing the blessedness of ministry. We established that through ministry we become entitled for continuous flow of God’s mercy. Ministry to others always fills our lives with blessings. But we shouldn’t be motivated by the desire to get God’s blessings; our motive is love for God and people which God sends into your life. There are three main types of believers: observers, consumers/users and servants. What type of a believer are you? What are you: an observer, a user or a servant? Today we will attempt to establish what distinguishes observers and consumers from servants.
  • Prayer must be my first priority

Today I would like to talk more about the third point. I finished saying that prayer is more about what God wants to tell you and what He wants to do in your life and not what you want to tell Him. So you do not need to tell God what is on your heart; allow God to work through His Word giving Him opportunity to work in your heart and reveal to you His plans. If you want to hear God, you cannot be in a hurry. Effective prayer has nothing to do with haste.
  • What are the benefits of fearing walking in the fear of God

You will eat the fruit of your labour. In other word, your labour shall not be in vain. God will prosper you in all your endeavours and your labours will not only yield fruits, but you will eat of the fruits. You shall be happy and satisfy with life. You will enjoy the blessings of the Lord
  • Definitely write down the vision you receive from God!

First of all, you need a revelation from God. Learning to recognise the voice of your Heavenly Father and getting to know Him as your best friend is vitally important. God is willing to give you wisdom, understanding and revelation in every sphere of your life. Though, when a revelation and wisdom are received from God, you have to write them down in whole. Then it becomes a spring of life, that gives breathe to you and brings hope that releases faith and trust on God in you.To write something down means to record the vision a paper. We have to put it down clearly, the way it makes sense to us later. Thus, we can bring our vision into reality, so that we can expect it and put our hopes upon. This is one of the methods how to cling with the vision together and dedicate yourself to fulfil it. Prophet Habakkuk reminds us about the importance of writing down the vision you have received from God.
  • How do we make sure that the Word of God abides in us? II

When I hear the preaching of God’s Word, God speaks to me through someone else. When I read the Word, God speaks to me directly. There are things He wants to speak to me personally, without mediators. God wants me to fellowship with Him so that He can teach me. When you hear the word through the other preaching of people, you can hear things that you do not fully understand or you might even say you do not agree with some things. However, when you fellowship with God through the reading of His Word and God reveals some things to you, you cannot say it is someone else’s opinion.
