It´s a huge privilege to be changed by the Almighty One!

Good morning, dear friends! Praise the Lord for this wonderful day He gave us! Thank God for another opportunity to get filled with His living word!For a few weeks we have been talking about God´s desire to change us, our character and make us more like His Son, Jesus Christ. To accomplish this, God permits difficult situations and narrow circumstances in our life. God is willing to remove from our life everything that we rely upon, so that we can learn to rely upon Him alone, since only then we achieve happiness in our life. «Thus says Yahweh: Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from Yahweh. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good comes, but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose trust Yahweh is.» (Jeremiah 17:5,7). Presumed you have a job that has become an idol for you, it prevents you from growing in the Lord, changing and becoming what God wants you to be. I do not doubt God can allow that you loose such job one day. Then you can pray: “Lord, help me to find a job. Lord, help me to keep my current job.” You would even share you excitement with other people by telling them how good your job is, because you are get paid a lot and your tithe is considerable. You are even ready to offer more than 10% of your income to God. Though, we must understand, that God is rather concerned about our personality, than our ministry or job. He is more concerned about building your character and your mission on Earth than about what you can give to Him. God knows you will never fulfil your mission on Earth without becoming like Jesus. Therefore, He is doing everything to transform you.Let me draw your attention to some verses from Scripture that point out the necessity of having changes in the life of those who believe, while calling us to change. The invitation to change comes from the Lord. God is constantly calling people to change in order to make us more like Jesus. First, let´s have a look at the Gospel of Matthew: 
«Walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers: Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers for men.”». (Matthew 4:18-19).
 Walking past, Jesus comes across two people and invites them to follow Him. Those two dropped their nets and followed Jesus. The same way Jesus found each of us, when said “Follow me, I will make you something valuable”. We became believers, because we agreed to do the same thing Peter and Andrew did, namely, to follow Christ.Following Jesus is the key invitation in this verse. Only when we follow Jesus, He promises to make us something valuable. The expression “I´ll make you” was often used talking about a potter who used to make vessels. When Jesus said He would make us, He meant “He would make us, so that other people seeing you could say you have been made in Heaven”.If we allow God to change us His way and we follow Jesus, people around will see a reflection of Heaven in our life and in our ministry.     If a person does not fulfil this duty, he won’t have enough light to see evil and hide from it. Besides, this verse tells us that such a person (he or she is called „simple”) goes ahead and is punished – not by God, but by his own ignorance. Ignorance separates a person from the life of God, because he knows nothing about God’s provision. «..having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart» (Ephesians, 4:18).Because of ignorance human mind is darkened, heart is hardened and he himself is alienated from the life of God.

The Word of God says: «A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men» (Proverbs, 18: 16).Your gift will make room for you and will broaden your boarders, if you won’t hide it. So many times believers ask: «Where is my place in the Body of Christ? What is my calling?»Do what you know. This simple principle gives an answer to many questions. Find the thing that you know how to do; find what you can do to promote the Kingdom of God, to help the church to grow and to extend your influence in the society.

    Prayer is getting close to God.Let’s look at James (4:8): «Draw near to God and He will draw near to you…».Prayer means to consciously draw near to God. Prayer means to approach God on purpose.Who of you wants to draw near to God? Who of you desires for God to draw near to you? God cannot be closer to you than He is. But you can draw near to Him. God is so close to us; He says: „I am here!” You are asking: «God, where are You?” Remember when Elijah ran away and cried: «God, where are You?” But God was with him. God is everywhere! And we can draw near to Him through prayer.

    After Jesus left the earth and ascended to heaven, He commissioned us to be His ambassadors or the sent ones (His representatives) on the earth. So we must understand and receive a profound revelation concerning the spiritual authority and power that we have in Christ. The Bible says that Christ made us kings and priests in order that we can reign on earth for Him. It is God, our heavenly Father desires that we all to be busy about His business. His business is to reconcile people with Him. God desires to do the work of reconciliation through us – «we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God». He wants us to declare the word of reconciliation. « God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation » (2 Corinthians, 5:19).

Ministry to others always fills our lives with blessings. But we shouldn’t be motivated by the desire to get God’s blessings; our motive is love for God and people which God sends into your life.There are three main types of believers: observers, consumers/users and servants. What type of a believer are you? What are you: an observer, a user or a servant? Today we will attempt to establish what distinguishes observers and consumers from servants.
