Are you growing in your walk with God?

Hello friends!
What a great opportunity to feed on the word of God once again this wonderful day!

The word God has laid on my heart to share with you today is about growing in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus.

“But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ…” (2 Peter 3: 18)

I feel God wants you to answer the following vital question: Are you growing in your walk with God?
It is God’s desire for every one of His children to continue to grow in their relationship with Him. The reason is obvious from the Bible: until we grow up, we won’t be able to enjoy the privileges God has provided for us as His sons and daughters.

“Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; 2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. 3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: {elements: or, rudiments}” (Galatians 4: 1-3).

The above Scriptures state that unless we grow up, we remain servants instead of enjoying our rights as heirs of God; we remain under the control of the things we ought to dominate and lord over. We come under bondage instead of walking in the freedom of the children of God.
Jesus became an example for us as to how we ought to be growing in our walk with God. He set His life as an example so that we can follow His footsteps:

“And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him. …And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man” (Luke 2: 40, 52).

Jesus was born as a child, but He grew up and was given to the world as a Son upon whose shoulder was the government of God.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder :”( Isaiah 9:6).

Until we grow up, God cannot entrust us with a certain level of Kingdom authority. He cannot entrust us with certain resources of His Kingdom.

  • Is there any evidence in your life that you are growing as a Christian?
  • Can God trust you with more of the treasures of His Kingdom?
  • Are you a responsible Christian or are you still childish in your thinking and approach to life?e??
  • Are you still living under bondage to the things you are commanded to rule over?
  • What are you doing everyday to ensure that you are growing and waxing stronger in the Lord?

Allow the Holy Spirit’s searchlight to penetrate your heart as you ponder on these questions today.

Please follow the example of Christ today and make some effort to grow up.

Remember, until you grow up, you will not be able to enjoy your privileges as sons and daughters of God.
May God bless your day with abundant blessings today!

    2. Forgiveness gives us strength to walk through the stages of our life.& «Therefore let us also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.». • God wants His children to be a part of the solution for His needs! II

« Because I have called, and you have refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no one has paid attention; … Then will they call on me, but I will not answer. They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me; Because they hated knowledge, And didn’t choose the fear of Yahweh. » (Proverbs 1:24, 28, 29).In these verses God tells us about the necessity to change our attitude towards His call, otherwise He would not listen to our calling the time we run to Him with our petitions. Forget about your own problems and take part in finding solutions for the needs and problems God has today, He will become a part of a solution for your problems then.
  • What do we have to do in order to witness spiritual revival filling our cities?

Jesus didn´t come into this world to die on the cross so that people become religious and indifferent to God. Contrariwise, Jesus came to fill the Earth with His glory just like rivers fill the seas. Jesus set an example of what we have to do. Wherever Jesus showed up He stirred the place! Everywhere He showed up people responded to His visit both positively and negatively. Some of them said: “Watch the Messiah, He is the answer, He is the son of God!” while the others stated: “He is obsessed by demons, He is a sinner, blasphemer, He is dangerous, so He must die”.
  • We are hands, feet, mouth and heart of our God

We concluded that we are hands, feet, mouth and heart of our God. If we refuse to collaborate with God, He will not be able to act or fulfil His plan in our cities and our countries. We stopped at what do we have to do in order to witness spiritual revival filling our cities? To make it happen we must become obedient disciples of Jesus Christ. God uses this kind of people to fulfil His prophesies and restore His will on Earth.Obedient disciple is one who moves and works for God, not sitting and doing nothing, so God can move through such person.
  • You cannot multiply what you do not sow

We are still talking about necessity to use the gifts that have been given to us by the Lord. Jesus wants every person to be faithful in little things and then God will place such a person over greater things. God presents everyone with opportunities to start serving Him and bringing forth fruit for God’s Kingdom. You cannot multiply what you do not sow.In the Gospel of Mathew Jesus told a parable about Master giving his servants different talents.
