When we pray, invisible chains that bind people suddenly fall off! II

Good morning, dear friends! It is a great joy to welcome you to „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”! God desires to show Himself strong in our lives and to pour His favour on us! As we have already established, it is impossible to experience God’s presence without prayer.

God is calling His people to pray. When we pray, peace fills our hearts despite the circumstances around us. When we pray, God intervenes in our lives. When we pray, God sends us His angels to assist us and minister to us.

You may ask why people act the way they act? Why don’t people sometimes understand very elementary things? Why do people hear the truth, but do not change? There are invisible things that keep people in bondage. There are strongholds that cannot be destroyed by teaching, sermons, instructions and lectures. They are spiritual things. What happens when the church prays? These strongholds collapse and some real changes take place. We cannot afford not to pray and try to admonish other people; usually people listen to us, say that they understand, but do the same thing all over again. It is humanly impossible to change someone; only God is able to do it. It also applies to raising children. You tell them something, they promise to behave, but nothing really changes. And you think, „How can I explain this to you?” I will tell you what you should do: you should pray, and your prayers will destroy all bondage and spiritual strongholds.

Yesterday we talked about the situation in Peter’s life: he was put in prison because of the Gospel. When the church found out about it, they started to fervently pray. After that an angel of the Lord came to Peter and delivered him from the bondage.

“Now behold, an angel of the LORD stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands” (Acts, 12:7).

What happened next?

“Then the angel said to him, “Gird yourself and tie on your sandals”; and so he did. And he said to him, “Put on your garment and follow me.” So he went out and followed him, and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. When they were past the first and the second guard post, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him. And when Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people” (Acts, 12:8-11).

They left, the gates opened on its own, and Peter was free. The gate opened! What does it tell us? Gate is a symbol of all different types of hindrances. For example, if you are running from danger, but the gate is closed, you are trapped. Gate is symbolic of obstacles that keep you from escaping from danger. Also the gate may hinder you from getting to where you need to be. You are moving towards your goal where God’s miracle awaits for you, but a gate appears before you; it is an obstacle that keeps you from reaching your goal and receiving your miracle. You want to get there but the gate is closed. You cannot get in; you cannot get out; the gate is locked. So, what happens when we pray? The gate opens up! Obstacles are destroyed!

God has left you with the most powerful weapon that is able to destroy all strongholds and barriers in your life, – it is prayer. Pray! Always pray! You will witness God supernaturally intervening into your life.

May God abundantly bless you this day!

Till tomorrow!

They realized that they also can come into this presence; that is why they asked Jesus about it.

  • Change always comes through prayer! II

If you desire to see and experience a miracle from God in your life, then you must forget about what other people think of your prayer style. At the period of seeking God, you must be concerned about one thing only, – how sincere your heart is during praying and how big your desire is to experience His intervention. Keep trusting and crying out to God even when everybody else have grown weak and lost faith in any possibilities for your life to change. God loves consistent and faithful people. He always has a reward for that type of people.

  • God desires to give you true success

As we said before, a successful person is the one who knows what God wants him to do in his life and has dedicated his life for doing God’s will. Human success is not measured by his social status, banc accounts, and influence in society, popularity or fame in this world. True success is measured by how successful he has been in doing God’s will.Think about it today! God desires to give you true success that can be found in learning and doing God’s will for your life. You are the one who determines what to do with your life: either seeking temporary pleasure and enjoyment or seeking the eternal values of God’s Kingdom and His will for your life.
