God’s Word is an enormously deep well of revelation, understanding and light

Greetings to you, dear friends! I bless you today! I thank the Lord for giving us His daily word and helping us to move forward.

Yesterday we talked about the Word of God being the source of divine information and truth that gives light to people and brings revelation for victorious life. David knew it and said:

«I have seen the consummation of all perfection, but Your commandment is exceedingly broad. Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day. You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; for they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers, for Your testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, because I keep Your precepts. I have restrained my feet from every evil way, that I may keep Your word. I have not departed from Your judgments, for You Yourself have taught me. How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through Your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path» (Psalm, 119:96-105).

God’s Word is an enormously deep well of revelation, understanding and light. We can draw from it wisdom and understanding for every area of human life. When we learn the truth of God’s Word it delivers us and makes us wise unto salvation; it brings delight to our hearts, keeps our feet from evil, and makes us intelligent and knowledgeable.

«The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; the statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes» (Psalm, 19:7-8).

Besides the understanding of God’s provision in Christ, every person also needs knowledge of the strategies and plans of the devil. If we do not have this knowledge, then the devil can be successful in hurting us.

«..lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices» (2 Corinthians, 2: 11).

Later we will talk about the fact that Satan is the author of pain, tragedy and suffering. But I want to point out that God has overcome the devil in Christ, and it has been done for you and me. Also, in His Word God has left us information about methods and strategies of the devil. If we pay attention to what the Bible says about his works, we will be able to minimize the possible harm that he might want to do us. The ignorance of the devil’s way of working is one of the reasons why so many people suffer today.

Also every person needs knowledge about the purpose and meaning of different things, so that they would not abuse them and do harm to themselves and others. For example, is says in the Bible that our bodies are not meant for fornication, but for the Lord. If you do not know the purpose of your body, then you will tend to abuse it and it will cause pain and suffering to you and others. Later on we will talk about the consequences of sexual immorality, like illness.

«Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body» (1 Corinthians, 6:13)

Food is for the stomach and the stomach is for the food – that is the purpose of stomach and food. The stomach is not to be crammed with things that are not food. In the same way we need to know what the purpose of different parts of our bodies is and what the purpose of the things we use is. The knowledge of the fact that our bodies are meant to be used for serving the Lord, points at our responsibility to take good care of our bodies; not to show them off, but to give glory to God. It challenges people to think about personal hygiene.

God’s Word gives answers to the questions about all areas of our life and they are for our good, to give us the fullness of life.

«This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way very prosperous, and then you will have good success» (Joshua, 1:8).

God bless you!

  • Purpose for living IV

Peace and grace from the Lord may be multiplied in your life this day! We are still talking about the search for the meaning of life and happiness under heaven. Solomon showed us what path we should not take when we talk about the search of the meaning of life, happiness and satisfaction. When we take this wrong path, we will be disappointed and frustrated and it will lead us to total failure.

We are discussing that success and effectiveness in our life are impossible without preparation. Former prime minister of Great Britain, Benjamin Disraeli said: “One secret of success in life is for a man to be ready for his opportunity when it comes.”Influential people understand this fact. Therefore, if you are willing to spend your life effectively and have influence on the others, you have to prepare yourself for that.So what do we have to prepare ourselves for?

  • Your gift will make room for you!

«A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men» (Proverbs, 18: 16).Your gift will make room for you and will broaden your boarders, if you won’t hide it. So many times believers ask: «Where is my place in the Body of Christ? What is my calling?»Do what you know. This simple principle gives an answer to many questions. Find the thing that you know how to do; find what you can do to promote the Kingdom of God, to help the church to grow and to extend your influence in the society.

Is it possible that you need rest or take a break from God? Is it possible that you need rest from serving Him? No! We can serve God everywhere. You can be on a plane and serve people who sit by you. You can serve God on a beach, at work, everywhere; because in all of these places there are people who need God.

  • All great things always start small and insignificant

Yesterday we began talking about how all great things always start small and insignificant. In order to enter the fullness of your calling and ministry, we need to do what is revealed to us today whatever that would be. Your knowledge, your experience and your mind – these are all gifts from God which we can use in serving people. When you serve people with your gifts, then these gifts make room for you. «A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men» (Proverbs, 18: 16).Studying the church history, we see that all of God’s generals didn’t start big. These people used what they had and did whatever they could. They began using the abilities they had. Eventually, their gifts found their place in the Body of Christ and grew into large ministries.
