How important it is to guard your heart because this is where the source of life flows from

Greetings to you, dear friends, on this wonderful day that the Lord has made!Already for several days now, we have been talking about how important it is to guard your heart because this is where the source of life flows from. In order for life to flow from us, we need to first be filled with this life. The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. Receiving Christ as your Lord and Saviour, we accept His life itself within us. But this life has to be constantly strengthened within us, and it is possible when we are filled with the Word of God. You yourself determine what you fulfil your heart with – the Word of God or this world’s system of values, holiness or sin, faith or fear. The Word of God brings faith, strength, and health into our lives. Walking in holiness allows us to see the manifestation of God’s power in our lives. Faith in God, based on the Word of God, connects us with God and His possibilities.Yesterday, we talked a little about Joseph. It was the Word of God, with which Joseph had filled his heart, that helped him stay strong in the face of life’s adversities. The Word of God in his heart helped him to overcome the treachery and lies of people against Joseph, so that he was lifted to the heights that God had prepared for him. Joseph did not resign himself to the negative external conditions that came into his life; he did not agree to swim in the current of these circumstances, but adopted the path associated with trusting in God and His Word. Joseph filled his heart and kept the Word of God there. God’s Word is alive, effective, and efficient, and is able to deliver to us victory over any problem and any obstacle. Nothing is impossible for the Word of God, because behind this Word, God Himself is standing in His power and majesty!Today let’s look at David’s life. David’s life was not an easy one at all. But David guarded his heart, filling himself with the Word of God. In Psalm 119, we read about how much David loved God’s Word. Here is what he said in verse 11:
“I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” (Psalms 119:11).
David kept the Word of God in his heart. When Goliath appeared in his life, there was no fear in David’s heart. Why was he not afraid? Because his heart was filled with faith. And where did David’s faith come from? His faith came from the Word of God, with which he had filled his heart. Faith comes from listening to the Word of God. Some people listen to everyone and everything else but the Word of God. No wonder they make wrong decisions and act in silly ways because of fear. This happens because in the absence of faith, fear has taken over their hearts.Dear friend, today I want you to see how important it is to keep the Word of God in your heart. If you do that, life will flow from you even in the midst of hard circumstances of life.Right now is the time when we have to make sure we are keeping the Word of God in our hearts. Filling your heart with the Word of God when a problem or adversity comes is too late. We must fill ourselves with the Word of God every day.How I wish that you love the Word of God as David loved it! In the Word of God, there are answers to all of your questions and solutions to all of your problems.Be blessed!Peace of God be with you! Until tomorrow!Pastor Rufus Ajiboy

  • Faith is obedience to the Lord!

Are you willing to experience God and His power in your life? If so, trust God and express it via your obedience to Him. The Bible says that without faith you can´t please the Lord. If you don´t please God you cannot experience His presence nor power neither. When God reveals you something He is going to accomplish, you have to follow his invitation without hesitation. It proves your devotion and your desire to listen to His voice. Meanwhile, disobedience turns your heart to stone and shuts our ears to God´s voice. Faith is acting in accordance to the word of God. Quite often God calls us to do impossible things, those only God Himself can accomplish.
  • Walk in the light and do not give place to the devil! II

The lordship of Jesus Christ is what helps us to walk free from the accusations of Satan; with it in our lives, the blood of Jesus Christ works on our behalf. Our accuser is not the only voice before God; our Advocate and Intercessor Jesus Christ is also there defending us. If you will listen to the accuser, you consider yourself dirty and you won’t have the confidence and boldness to come before God. But if you will listen to your Intercessor Jesus Christ, then you will walk in repentance and the blood of Jesus Christ will cleanse you.
  • What other effects of unforgiveness can we see?

Unforgiveness destroys godly relationships and causes splits in the Body of Christ. There is so much chaos in the Church of Jesus Christ because of offended people. Many of them are not able to fellowship with one another and built friendship due to offenses and the fear of rejection. Many people build huge walls around them due to unforgiveness. They receive new „revelations” that separate them from the other people even more and make them passive.
  • God has appointed every one of us for the ministry, so that all of us would grow into Him!

Jesus must be the centre of everything. Every member does its share and then the Body grows in the love of God and every one enjoys and benefits from it. We will all enjoy the Church, if every one of us does his or her part to the best of our abilities. I need to do only what I am able to do and not worry about what I do not have and what I cannot do, – otherwise i will be crush under such burden. I must only concentrate my attention on how to multiply my talents.

«Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it. Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away. And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.» (Mark 4:3-8)
