In our lives we must reflect the life, the power and the nature of Christ II

Greetings to you, dear friends! Praise God for this wonderful day He has given us! Thank God for one more opportunity to be filled with His living Word! We have been talking about our destiny as God’s children, and it is to be the light to the world and the salt of the earth. We will only be able to shine in this world if we allow God’s Word to rule our lives. It says in the Bible:
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path» (Psalm, 119:105).
It is God’s Word that starts the light of God in our hearts and leads our steps on the right path:
«You will light my lamp; the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness» (Psalm, 18:28).
It also says in the Bible that we will have God’s light only when we follow the example set by Jesus Christ:
«Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life» (John, 8:12).
As Christ’s ambassadors and the representatives of God’s Kingdom (which is the kingdom of light) we must understand our role and know who we are in Christ. We know that the devil is the ruler and governor of the kingdom of darkness, and he has a program for this earth. But God has made us ambassadors of light so in order to stop the devil from blinding the people’s minds and to open the people’s eyes to the truth of God’s Word. We must teach the truth of God’s Word to the people because God’s Word gives us light. We will shine with the light of God’s truth if we live according to this truth and if we allow God’s Word to rule our lives. We must seek ways to preach and plant God’s Word into the human hearts in the power of the Holy Ghost. It is necessary so that the people living in darkness would be enlightened. When the Bible talks of darkness and the absence of light, it actually talks about ignorance and the lack of insight. Our calling as Christ’s ambassadors and the bearers of His light is to shine the light of the truth into the places ruled by darkness, where there is lack of knowledge and revelation of God. We must fill this earth with the truth of God’s Word.
«And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free» (John, 8:32).
Be blessed! Till tomorrow! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • There is nothing impossible with God!

Every one of us has been given free choice. By our lawlessness and sins we can fill our lives and the lives of our loved ones, thus defiling the earth. But through repentance and godly living we can establish the rule of life by God’s grace, affecting not just our life but the whole world. We see that the sin of one man negatively affects not only him or her, but also others. In the same way we see that obedience and righteous living positively affects other people and the whole world.
  • How God punishes and disciplines His children II

«Poverty and shame will come to him who disdains correction, but he who regards a rebuke will be honoured» (Proverbs, 13:18).We can see once again that financial difficulties in the lives of these people were not sent by God; they were the result of them rejecting the teaching and instruction of the Lord.
  • Jesus was constantly seeking the God´s will for His life

Reading the Bible we see how Jesus was growing and being filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him. Jesus was constantly seeking the God´s will for His life, in order to set a good example for us. If Jesus had got to know God´s will using His divine nature instead, He wouldn´t have set a role model to us nor we wouldn´t be able to follow his steps today. Jesus stayed longer in the Temple after the feast of Passover in Jerusalem while other people had already left for home (see Luke 2:41-51). What was Jesus doing there and why did He stay longer in the Temple? He stayed there to listen to the scribes and to question them. That´s one of His secrets where His wisdom came from. Jesus studied the Scriptures. He attended the Temple and asked questions, prayed and leaned closer to God, His Father.
  • Grateful people – they are people able for self-sacrifice! II

If we learn to appreciate and cherish everything that God does in our lives, then it will be natural for us to sacrifice or build and altar for God.Know that when speaking about sacrifice, God will never ever ask you for something that you do not have! His love does not require that, God’s love is not abusive. If you truly love someone, you will never ask from them what they do not have.Forget about what you do not have, think about what you do have. Be sure that you own a lot!
  • Organization of effective prayer life IV

Prayer is meaningful time with God.I will explain what I mean by that. Quite often I use the word ‘time’. Prayer is one of the means of organizing and managing the time we have been given. What is the topic of our prayers is a very interesting question. We all talk about it. There are so many books written on prayer. But who is the person who prays truly effectively? This is a very serious question. God desires us to arrange our lives for effective prayer; it will take our ministry and our whole life to a much higher level.
  • God not only knows about all of your problems and circumstances, He also has a solution for them

When problems come into our lives, we need to define the source of these problems. But we must know that despite the source there are no problems that God would be unaware of. God not only knows about all of your problems and circumstances; He also has a solution for them and He has power and resources in order to change your circumstances. God is able to change the course of our lives for our good. God’s Word says that «all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose» (Romans, 8:28).
