Plan, plant, pray, but also act!

Good day, dear friends!
I am glad to offer you the living word of wisdom that the Lord has placed in my heart today. I believe that this word will help you become the successful person that God wants you to become.

I want to begin this word with a story: A man had a wonderful garden that brought him a rich, abundant harvest. When his neighbor saw that, he decided that the next spring he would make a garden for himself too. But after the neighbor had sown seeds in his garden, he did not do anything there afterward. He did not water his garden, did not cultivate it, and did not loosen the soil. When the autumn came, his garden was neglected and full of weeds. And, of course, it did not bring forth any fruit.

The first conclusion that the man came to was that there is no use for a garden. Afterward, he thought that the soil was bad.

As time passed, another neighbor started to make himself a garden. The third neighbor did not immediately have as good a harvest as the first one. In spite of the little harvest, the third neighbor continued to work hard and learn. According to how much he made use of his new skills and implemented new ideas, year by year his garden brought him more and more fruit.

The truth of this story is described in the Book of Proverbs:

“I went past the field of the sluggard, past the vineyard of the man who lacks judgment; thorns had come up everywhere, the ground was covered with weeds, and the stone wall was in ruins. I applied my heart to what I observed and learned a lesson from what I saw: A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest- and poverty will come on you like a bandit and scarcity like an armed man.” (Proverbs 24:30-34)

The truth in this story is obvious and it is: One and the same principle determines our growth, as well as stagnation in our life and works. Prayers, diligent work and constant use of proved principles separate successful people from others. And this principle is fair, regardless of the country, culture, stratum or the church we are in.
Successful people spend their time seeking God and relying on His direction and leadership in their lives. Afterward they apply in life those truths and teachings that they have learned, being obedient to God.
By developing such habits, any person can stand on the road of growth and increase.
Growth and success are the wish of God’s heart for you and His command for every believer today.

How are you doing with these things? Are you growing? Do you bring forth fruit which honors God? Do you grow in Christ? Do you hope for a miracle, or do you do something yourself, or do you simply wait for a harvest by just checking out the direction of the wind?
The Bible says that

„Whoever watches the wind will not plant;  whoever looks at the clouds will not reap”(Ecclesiastes.11:4).

As you see, whoever will not plant will not reap. Harvest, growth, fortune, and increase will not come without your activity. Hard work is still one of the tools for growth and prosperity.
Plan, plant, pray, but also act. You will reap a huge harvest!

See you soon!

For several days we have been discussing the blessedness of ministry. We established that through ministry we become entitled for continuous flow of God’s mercy. Ministry to others always fills our lives with blessings. But we shouldn’t be motivated by the desire to get God’s blessings; our motive is love for God and people which God sends into your life. There are three main types of believers: observers, consumers/users and servants. What type of a believer are you? What are you: an observer, a user or a servant? Today we will attempt to establish what distinguishes observers and consumers from servants.

  • Searching for the meaning of life II

Let’s look at the steps that Solomon took in order to find the meaning of life. We will see what conclusions Solomon came to. The first thing Solomon turned to was acquiring of wisdom and knowledge. «I communed with my heart, saying, „Look, I have attained greatness, and have gained more wisdom than all who were before me in Jerusalem. My heart has understood great wisdom and knowledge.” And I set my heart to know wisdom and to know madness and folly. I perceived that this also is grasping for the wind. For in much wisdom is much grief, and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow» (Ecclesiastes, 1:16-18).

  • The seed contains tremendous potential III

What does fruitfulness depend on? On the level of understanding of the mysteries of God’s Kingdom. As we mentioned, if a person listens to the Word of God but does not understand it, then Satan comes and steals the Word. Those who understand the Word bring forth fruit – thirtyfold, sixtyfold and hundredfold. That is why the first requirement for being fruitful in His kingdom is an understanding of the mysteries of God’s Kingdom. Today I would like you to see to whom God reveals the mysteries of His Kingdom.

  • Daily obedience to God in different areas of your life will bring you to your calling

To every person that does not know his calling yet, I advise to be obedient to God on daily basis. If you will be obedient to God in your daily walk, then you will learn your calling; you will hear God and understand what He is calling you to.Daily obedience to God will bring a person to full realization of his or her calling. The big picture or the global project consists of multitude of small detail. As the saying goes, «Every trip starts with the first step».Repentance is the first step. After you repent of your sins, Jesus becomes your Lord. What does that mean? The Lordship of Jesus implies doing of what He tells you.

  • Do not be afraid to work; do not be afraid to sacrifice your time to the Lord! II

Don’t be ashamed of what you have. God has given you those particular talents for you to multiply them, not to hide them. Do not waste your strength on hiding from your calling. Let your talents be visible to others. The talents you possess do not actually belong to you; they belong to the Lord. So, if you are ashamed to use them, it means you are ashamed of the Lord Himself.

  • God wants prayer to become priority in the lives of His children!

Everything that devil has bound up in your life – your miracle, your promises, – can be released to you by the supernatural power of God. But for it to happen, prayer must become your number 1 priority.Take any Bible story and you will see what powerful prayer of believers is able to accomplish. For example, what did Daniel do when he was thrown into lions’ den? Did he pray? No, it was too late to pray. He had been praying long before he got to this point in his life. It is too late to pray when you are in a den with some lions. You must pray before anything like that happens! Daniel prayed three times a day every day.
