Plan, plant, pray, but also act!

Good day, dear friends! I am glad to offer you the living word of wisdom that the Lord has placed in my heart today. I believe that this word will help you become the successful person that God wants you to become.I want to begin this word with a story: A man had a wonderful garden that brought him a rich, abundant harvest. When his neighbor saw that, he decided that the next spring he would make a garden for himself too. But after the neighbor had sawn seeds in his garden, he did not do anything there afterward. He did not water his garden, did not cultivate, neither loosened the soil. When the autumn came, his garden was neglected and full with weeds. And, of course, it did not bring forth any fruit. The first conclusion that the man came to, was that there is no use of a garden. Afterward, he thought that the soil was bad.The time passed, another neighbor started to make himself a garden. The third neighbor immediately did not have such a good harvest as the first one. In spite of the little harvest, the third neighbor continued to work hard and learn. According to how much he made use of his new skills and implemented new ideas, year by year, his garden brought him more and more fruit. The truth of this story is described in the Book of Proverbs:
“I went past the field of the sluggard, past the vineyard of the man who lacks judgment; thorns had come up everywhere, the ground was covered with weeds, and the stone wall was in ruins. I applied my heart to what I observed and learned a lesson from what I saw: A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest- and poverty will come on you like a bandit and scarcity like an armed man.” (Proverbs 24:30-34)
The truth in this story is obvious and it is: One and the same principle determines our growth, as well as, stagnation in our life and works. Prayers, diligent work and constant use of proved principles separate successful people from others. And this principle is fair, apart from the country, culture, stratum or the church we are in. Successful people spend their time to seek God and rely on His directions and leadership in their lives. Afterwards they apply in life those truths and teachings that they have learned, being obedient to God. By developing such habits, any person can stand upon the road of growth and increase. Growth and success is the wish of God’s heart for you and His order for every believer today. How are you with these things? Are you growing? Do you bring forth fruit which honour God? Do you grow in Christ? You hope for miracle or you do something yourself, or you simply wait for harvest by just checking out the direction of the wind? Bible seas that
„Whoever watches the wind will not plant;  whoever looks at the clouds will not reap”(Ecclesiastes.11:4).
As you see, who will not plant will not reap. Harvest, growth, fortune, increase will not come without your activity. Hard work still is one of the tools for growth and prosperity. Plan, plant, pray, but also act. You will reap a huge harvest!See you soon! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • How to effectively study the Bible II

Sometimes one word in the Bible can be followed as a thread throughout all of the pages of the Book.I once sat down to write a letter to a brother. I prayed and asked God to help me write not just words, but to make it a blessing for this person. As I was writing, I noticed that I had started preaching in the letter. Later I put it aside, because one word had totally consumed my attention. I began to study this word in the Bible. I began studying the phrases like “God is able” and „God can”. I started reading all the verses that contained these phrases. It was so interesting that I totally forgot about the letter. The study of particular Bible words can be very interesting and profitable.
  • Allow God to transform you through ministry, because the ones who minister never stay the same.!

The ones who minister to God and men will be continually changing and being perfected in God’s wisdom. God will change you through ministry! The call to serve God and people is the call to change, growth, perfection, fruitfulness and happy life. Have you answered God’s call to serve other people with the gifts you have received from God? Maybe you have been regularly praying for the Lord to change you. I want to say to you that you should keep praying, because God does change us through prayer. But God will also change us through ministry. That is why He tells us that if we want to see obvious changes in our lives, we must minister to others with the gifts we have received from Him.
  • Jesus came to fill the Earth with His glory

Jesus didn´t come into this world to die on the cross so that people become religious and indifferent to God. Contrariwise, Jesus came to fill the Earth with His glory just like rivers fill the seas. Jesus set an example of what we have to do. Wherever Jesus showed up He stirred the place! Everywhere He showed up people responded to His visit both positively and negatively. Some of them said: “Watch the Messiah, He is the answer, He is the son of God!” while the others stated: “He is obsessed by demons, He is a sinner, blasphemer, He is dangerous, so He must die”.
  • Apart from Him there is no true satisfaction and happiness!

«There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death» (Proverbs, 16:25). A wise man learns from the mistakes of others. I believe that this message will help us stop and not take the wrong path, since it won’t give us any fulfilment.Yesterday we discussed the fact that Solomon tried to find happiness and satisfaction in pleasures of life. He realized that all these things are vanity and „grasping for the wind”. We saw the things Solomon sought as the source of enjoyment. First, he tried different delicacies. They brought satisfaction to Solomon’s body, but he soul remained empty and hungry.
  • The seed contains tremendous potential

Our attitude towards God’s Word is very important. God sends His Word into our lives so that His Word would bring to us that which we need. In order for the seed of God’s Word to grow in our hearts, the condition of our hearts is particularly important. «For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing which I sent it.» (Isaiah 55:10-11).
  • Why God does speaks to us and why is it so important for us to learn to hear His voice?

    1. To give us revelation about God (about Himself).First of all, God will speak to us in order to reveal the truth about Himself. If we fail to hear the voice of God we will never get Him to know well enough to become His friends.
