Plan, plant, pray, but also act!

Good day, dear friends! I am glad to offer you the living word of wisdom that the Lord has placed in my heart today. I believe that this word will help you become the successful person that God wants you to become.I want to begin this word with a story: A man had a wonderful garden that brought him a rich, abundant harvest. When his neighbor saw that, he decided that the next spring he would make a garden for himself too. But after the neighbor had sown seeds in his garden, he did not do anything there afterward. He did not water his garden, did not cultivate it, and did not loosen the soil. When the autumn came, his garden was neglected and full of weeds. And, of course, it did not bring forth any fruit. The first conclusion that the man came to was that there is no use for a garden. Afterward, he thought that the soil was bad.As time passed, another neighbor started to make himself a garden. The third neighbor did not immediately have as good a harvest as the first one. In spite of the little harvest, the third neighbor continued to work hard and learn. According to how much he made use of his new skills and implemented new ideas, year by year his garden brought him more and more fruit. The truth of this story is described in the Book of Proverbs:
“I went past the field of the sluggard, past the vineyard of the man who lacks judgment; thorns had come up everywhere, the ground was covered with weeds, and the stone wall was in ruins. I applied my heart to what I observed and learned a lesson from what I saw: A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest- and poverty will come on you like a bandit and scarcity like an armed man.” (Proverbs 24:30-34)
The truth in this story is obvious and it is: One and the same principle determines our growth, as well as stagnation in our life and works. Prayers, diligent work and constant use of proved principles separate successful people from others. And this principle is fair, regardless of the country, culture, stratum or the church we are in. Successful people spend their time seeking God and relying on His direction and leadership in their lives. Afterward they apply in life those truths and teachings that they have learned, being obedient to God. By developing such habits, any person can stand on the road of growth and increase. Growth and success are the wish of God’s heart for you and His command for every believer today. How are you doing with these things? Are you growing? Do you bring forth fruit which honors God? Do you grow in Christ? Do you hope for a miracle, or do you do something yourself, or do you simply wait for a harvest by just checking out the direction of the wind? The Bible says that
„Whoever watches the wind will not plant;  whoever looks at the clouds will not reap”(Ecclesiastes.11:4).
As you see, whoever will not plant will not reap. Harvest, growth, fortune, and increase will not come without your activity. Hard work is still one of the tools for growth and prosperity. Plan, plant, pray, but also act. You will reap a huge harvest!See you soon! Pastor Rufus Ajiboy

  • Ignorance of spiritual laws – is one of many things that cause suffering in this world nowadays

«Brothers, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God is for Israel, that they may be saved. For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they didn’t subject themselves to the righteousness of God. For Christ is the fulfilment of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.» (Romans 10:1-4).Today may people are saying they love God and believe in Him, while staying ignorant to His righteousness and living according to their own righteousness. Therefore, they blame God for being unjust to them when facing problems and distress in their life.
  • It is extremely important for us to grow in God’s character and nature so that we can effectively function on earth

«It is an abomination for kings to commit wickedness, for a throne is established by righteousness» .In order for a throne or a reign or government to be established, it must be done by righteousness or truth. As we’ve said before, in Paul’s Epistle to Romans we are told that we rule on earth by the gift of righteousness (see Rom.5: 17).The Power, authority and wisdom to rule on earth come into our lives through our uncompromising stance against sin and unrighteousness. If we choose righteousness and total submission to God and His commandments as our lifestyle, then God can channel His authority into our lives; our life will be filled with God’s authority, and God will grant us the right to rule and reign on earth.
  • Let’s first win the hearts of people..

Today I’d like us to discuss about the life of Abraham. I believe God wants to show us some very important principles that can be gleaned from the life of Abraham and in his relationship with God. “Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis, 12:1-3)
  • God changing us through discipline

I believe that discipline is one of God’s tools that help us to change and achieve effectiveness in our personal lives and ministry. Every one of us has a dream or a goal for our lives. But however good or grand these plans or desires are, discipline is a necessary prerequisite for these things to come to pass. Many ideas and desires never come true because people lack discipline.
  • Being a Christian is a responsibility

God lifts up and raises exactly those who agree to become responsible. Jesus speaks on this in the next passage:«For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.»(Мatth.25:29-30)
  • Changes always come from praying!

We talked about Hannah who did not give up even though she was barren and was being humiliated by other people; she kept on believing God and trusting that He would send her a miracle into her life and give her a baby. She did not plunge into despair and sense of helplessness, but daily brought her needs before God in fervent prayer.
