The importance of favouring the Kingdom of God

Good day to you, friends! May God’s favour follow you throughout this day!We have established that favour is a seed and each one of us releases the power of favour in our lives by sowing the seed of favour in the lives of other people.Today I want to show you the importance of favouring the Kingdom of God. The point is that favour can be sown not just in relation to other people, but also in relation to God and His work on the earth. Your attitude towards the work of the Kingdom will determine the level of Kingdom blessings operating in your life.
«You will rise and have mercy of Zion; for the time to favour her, yes, the set time, has come. For Your servants take pleasure in her stones, and show favour to her dust So the nations shall fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth Your glory» (Psalm 102:13-15).
The name „Zion” means the city of God or the church of the living God.
«But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels» (Hebrews, 12: 22).
The author of Psalm 102 says that he together with others take pleasure even in the stones of Zion and show favour to her dust. They are zealous about God’s Kingdom and that is why they could ask God to arise and have mercy on Zion and to defend it. What does this tell us? When you show favour towards Zion, you are calling forth the power of God’s favour in your own life. When you show favour towards the Kingdom of God, you release the stream of supernatural favour in your life. If you want God to give you favour, you should show favour towards the works of God’s Kingdom. When you are actively involved in the things of the Kingdom, that is how you show favour toward the Kingdom. By being practically involved and committed to the projects of God’s Kingdom, as well as being faithful in the area of giving of your finances, time and talents so that God’s Kingdom would be established and expanded, you are provoking the favour of God for yourself. When we sow our finances, time, talents and abilities into the work of the Kingdom, we release the power of God’s favour into our lives. This is exactly what Jesus meant when he said,
«But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness» (Mathew, 6: 33).
King David enjoyed God’s favour in his life, because he was a man after God’s heart who loved God and showed favour to His works. Here is what God said about David:
«And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, „I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will» (Acts, 13: 22).
God saw faithfulness in David’s heart and for this reason He could declare about David that he will fulfil all the desires of God’s heart. David was fully committed to God and never withheld anything from Him, so God was fully committed to David and withheld nothing from him. Here is one episode from David’s life that demonstrates his commitment to God and God’s work:
«Furthermore King David said to all the assembly: “My son Solomon, whom alone God has chosen, is young and inexperienced; and the work is great, because the temple is not for man but for the Lord God. Now for the house of my God I have prepared with all my might: gold for things to be made of gold, silver for things of silver, bronze for things of bronze, iron for things of iron, wood for things of wood, onyx stones, stones to be set, glistening stones of various colours, all kings of precious stones, and marble slabs in abundance. Moreover, because I have set my affections on the house of my God, I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, my own special treasure of gold and silver» (1 Chronicles, 29: 1-3).
Without sincere hunger and love for God, every kind of giving towards the work of God will be a heavy burden for us. However, when you have a heart that loves God and seek after Him, then everything that is about Him will affect you like an automatic switch. Giving yourself to the purposes of God will become a natural thing to you, and you will even begin to look for opportunities to be a blessing to the Kingdom of God.Remember that favor is a seed. Sow yourself continuously into the promoting of God’s work and the expanding of His Kingdom, and you will see more and more of God’s blessing being released into different areas of your life!We will continue tomorrow!Good luck to you today! • We must prepare the way so that the Lord could come in glory and fullness! II

Yesterday we started talking about God’s desire to demonstrate His glory and fullness in our lives; for this to happen we have to prepare our hearts and to prepare the way of the Lord. We have to cleanse our hearts from the things that God hates and cannot look upon. The following verses from the Scripture reveal the principle of preparation the way of the Lord.«In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the LORD; make His paths straight.’”» (Mathew, 3:1-3).
  • Jesus as the example of a true minister

We see that Jesus experienced serious difficulties in the days of His earthly life, but He did not focus on them. Jesus was busy serving the Father and those He was sent to serve. While Jesus served people, the Father made sure people ministered to Jesus; God met Jesus’ needs through His ministry. When we serve others, God motivates others to serve us. We always reap what we have sown. We do not serve people because we do not have any problems, – we serve people because it pleases God. And when we serve, despite the fact that we have problems, needs and concerns, God makes sure some people that we do not even know serve us by meeting our needs
