The importance of unity

Greetings to you, my dear friends!Today I want to share with you on the importance of unity. Unity of goals and vision, unity of language and efforts always generate that great and powerful urge that is necessary for a project to succeed. This is precisely the thing that we see in this passage of Scripture:
“Then they said to one another, „Come let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. And they said, „Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.” But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the Lord said, „Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” (Genesis 11:3-7).
This Scripture tells us that the people had one goal, they had one language, and they put forth a unified effort, and it says about them that “now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them”. God said that because of their unity they would be successful in everything that they do. In the Bible God often speaks to His people about unity. Unity is a very important key that allows us as God’s people or the Church to fulfill the will of God and our calling in this earth.A united and consolidated team will always succeed! That is why Satan so fervently fights against the unity of God’s people. Satan works extremely hard to obstruct understanding between people, causing them to grow apart so that the work of God and the establishment of His Kingdom in this earth do not go on. Today God wants to say to each of us that it is very important to strive towards unity and towards becoming one team that has decided to establish the Kingdom of God.Are you a part of God’s team? What is your place on this team? Are you trying to understand its vision? Are you putting forth effort to reach the goals that are set before your team so that the Kingdom of God may be established? This is the word of God for today: do your best so that the unity of this team would be preserved. Pride, selfishness, sin are common hindrances in the making of a team. Think about it today and ask yourself this question: are you putting forth the necessary effort to maintain the unity of your church?May God bless you today! Until tomorrow! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Let God do His work in your life. There is only good in Him!

God was following His goal – to change His prophet character. God also wants to change me and you. To accomplish this goal He would allow serious problems in our life, if necessary. God can destroy things that prevent us from changing, because He can easily create the same things again afterwards.
  • Calling forth convincing and irrefutable proof! II

“The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles”(Psalm 34:17). God hears you when you cry out to Him and not when you sink in our despair and misery, when you grumble and ‘have pity parties’. There is a cry of faith, which God always hears, because He finds a call for help and intervention in it. In this prayer cry God sees faith in Righteous, Just, Loving and Almighty God.
  • Listening to what God is saying is extremely important to every believer

15 times in the New Testament Jesus repeats the expression «He who has ears to hear, let him hear» (see Matthew 11:15; 13:9,43; Mark 4:9, 23; 7:16; Luke 8:18; 14:35; Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 29; 3:6,13,22; 13:9).The Philip’s translation of the Bible states it the following way: “The man who has ears to hear must use them”.
  • The lordship of Jesus Christ II

«The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies» (Psalm 110:1-2).This passage talks about Christ: «Rule in the midst of Your enemies», but the Body of Christ — His Church — is included in this prophetic word. Jesus was told to sit at the right hand of God; but it would be God’s children that would overcome God’s enemies and every thing that rise against the will of God. God wants us to rule and reign in the midst of the enemies and unfavourable circumstances. We must rule because we have been given God’s authority and we were born conquerors.
  • On what does your destiny depend?

We mostly think that our destiny is determined by other people or how they act toward us. Or we think that destiny depends on the circumstances that surround us or things that happen around us. But it is not true, and God does not think that way! God knows that the circumstances in your life won’t define your life. What people do or do not do to you cannot determine your life. Your destiny is defined by where your heart is. Thus, God tells us that we have to guard our hearts with all diligence.
  • We are hands, feet, mouth and heart of our God

We concluded that we are hands, feet, mouth and heart of our God. If we refuse to collaborate with God, He will not be able to act or fulfil His plan in our cities and our countries. We stopped at what do we have to do in order to witness spiritual revival filling our cities? To make it happen we must become obedient disciples of Jesus Christ. God uses this kind of people to fulfil His prophesies and restore His will on Earth.Obedient disciple is one who moves and works for God, not sitting and doing nothing, so God can move through such person.
