Your gift will make room for you!

Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ! Welcome to „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”!

Today I would like to start talking about the topic I have titled as: “Your gift will make room for you”. The Word of God says:

«A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men» (Proverbs, 18: 16).

Your gift will make room for you and will broaden your boarders, if you won’t hide it. So many times believers ask: «Where is my place in the Body of Christ? What is my calling?»

Do what you know. This simple principle gives an answer to many questions. Find the thing that you know how to do; find what you can do to promote the Kingdom of God, to help the church to grow and to extend your influence in the society.

Find needs around you and start meeting them. Find the needs that people don’t even see yet and start meeting them for the glory of the Lord. That is what Solomon talks about in the Book of Ecclesiastes:

«Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going» (Ecclesiastes, 9: 10).

Whatever your hand can do, do it right now and do it with your might. Besides, whatever you do, be enthusiastic and do it with all of your might. If you are called to the ministry – and, yes, you are called to it! – you need to know that your gift will make a place for you. In order to discover your place in the Body of Christ, you need to use what you have right now (that is, your talents, abilities, knowledge, wisdom, experience etc.) to help and serve people. Then the Lord will exalt you.

Ecclesiastes says that there is no work or labour, nor contemplation, nor knowledge, nor wisdom in the grave where all of us will go sooner or later.

«Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going» (Ecclesiastes, 9: 10).

It is right now that you should use your ability to work, think, use your knowledge, wisdom and experience to serve God and people. So act now! Work now! Start where you are! Start using what you have and doing what you know to do!

Many Christians today waste their precious time in searching for their place in the ministry, instead of starting to do what they can right now. «I am waiting to learn the will of God!» – some people say. When they hear the call to come and serve they give this excuse: «I don’t know my place of the ministry». All great men of God who have developed large ministry started with something small that they were able to do at the time.

Do not waste your time, because time is a precious gift of God that was measured out for your calling. Your knowledge, experience and abilities are gifts of God. Sow them today, and you will reap a bigger ministry. All great things start small!

Tomorrow we will continue about this topic. Be blessed! Pastor Rufus Ajiboye

  • Change always comes through prayer! III

During the past few days we have been talking about the idea of a person being the main initiator of the miracles he needs in his life. In order for God to be able to do something supernatural in the individual’s life this individual must create the natural platform or foundation for this miracle. When you mix your distress with prayer, then the miracle will surely happen and you will have true and undisputable proof of God’s miracle and His supernatural intervention.

When we read the Bible we receive doctrine, which means we start to see where we should go. Through the reading of the Bible we are shown the direction for our thought life, our words and all other areas of our lives.Besides, the Bible is profitable for reproof. Quite often we start walking the way the Bible has shown us, but then we somehow get distracted, lose the right direction and get sidetracked. But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away. And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. • In our lives we must reflect the life, the power and the nature of Christ III

Our ministry is to be the salt and light to our society. God has granted us this ministry, but not because we are better than others. God gave us this ministry because of His mercy. Now as the recipients of God’s mercy we do not have any right to condemn those that do not know God and live under the power of the prince of darkness. God is sending us – His children — into the world to spread the light and reconciliation. While doing this ministry, we should not lose heart; we should not allow anything to stop us. We must be courageous and go forward enduring sorrows as good soldiers of Jesus Christ.
