How to set grace free in our lives?

Peace to you, dear friends!

We continue speaking about the power of God’s favour.

Until now, we have been speaking about what favour is and how it benefits us. We also saw that favour is the heritage of every believer in Christ. We also talked about what is the basis or foundation of favour.

Today, I want us to talk about how to set grace free in our lives.
Favour in a person’s life is never a coincidence; it is the results of understanding God’s ways. There are certain godly secrets that we all must comprehend and apply in order to be able to set free the power of God’s favour in our lives.

“Good understanding gains favour, but the way of the unfaithful is hard” (Proverbs 13:15).

In other words, understanding of the laws of life brings favour in a person’s life. Acquiring understanding and comprehension, you simultaneously open the door for supernatural favour in your life. Whereas lack of understanding makes one’s life hard and difficult. The lack of understanding or comprehension is what we call spiritual ignorance. Such ignorance is one of the main reasons why the life of many Christians is very hard and unstable.
When you comprehend the laws that guide the operation of favour and begin to regulate your life according to these laws, then the favour of God will be set free in your life. As a result of this favour, your life will be distinguished from the lives of other people.

For example, there is a law called the law of sowing and reaping among Christians. This law is first mentioned in Genesis 8:22:

„As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”

In the kingdom of God, all things are subject to this law, including the power of God’s favour.
Harvest of any sort can only follow the seedtime. Any fruit begins only with a seed. Releasing the power of favour in our lives clearly depends on how well we understand and apply this important law of the kingdom of God.
We will talk about this in more detail tomorrow.
May the Lord give you comprehension in everything so that spiritual darkness and ignorance will be dispelled from your life!
Until tomorrow!

Paul is saying that many people hear the Gospel but still are not enlightened by that. These people had made their choice to continue living in sin, therefore, satan, the god of this world had blinded their minds so that the light of Gospel remains unveiled to them, regardless of how hard somebody tries to share the gospel with them. Nevertheless, Paul and his partners presented to others the brightest light of the Gospel, – that is Christ Himself, who is the image of God. Paul was convinced that people should be able to see God in Christ, so he preached Christ and instead of preaching about himself.

  • Value God’s Word!

Today God wants to tell us the same thing. The Word of God is life to us. When God sends us His Word, He offers us life. Rejecting the Word of God we reject life itself. Moses says about God’s Word: «For it is not a futile thing for you, because it is your life…»It is extremely important for us to appreciate the Word of God and not to treat it as something futile, – it is not like a song that we have listened to and then gone to do our own will. It should be to us like the greatest treasure. We have to value God’s Word, to hide it in our hearts, to appreciate it because it is life to us. God says that through the Word and through our right attitude towards it we can extend or prolong our days. Our attitude toward the Word determines whether we will extend our life or shorten it.

  • The person who daily fills his heart with God’s Word has several advantages

    1. God makes the feet of this person strong as the feet of deer. This person is able to run and not get weary. When he or she faces an obstacle or a wall, he has the strength to get over it. This thought is profound: the person who is filled with God’s light has power to overcome the difficulties of life. There are no invincible barriers for him. When the light of God comes into the person’s life, God’s wisdom comes with it and helps overcome all obstacles.

  • We must be grateful to God in all things!

When things go fine and when God answers our prayers, it is easy to thank God, – at those times we thank God and adore Him. But as soon as God decides to answer us in a way that does not fit our plans, we start thinking whether there is any sense in prayer. The Bible calls us to thank God in everything. The Bible calls us to praise God aloud so that other people would hear it. Be grateful to God, praise him, and sing to Him – aloud! Thanksgiving is the very model of prayer that Jesus gave to His disciples.
