Your surrounding has an impact on you, it determines whether you enter the destiny God has prepared for you or you don´t

Welcome dear children of God to our column «Daily word for spiritual strength»! I pray so that God´s mercy fills your life today.

As we concluded, a person consecrated to the Lord can rejoice also at the time of temptation and sorrow. However, he rejoices even more when everything in his life happens according to God´s plan. We mentioned Jesus´ example of what it means to be consecrated to God and doing His will. We pointed out that:

1. Jesus valued God´s will higher than food for His body.

2. Jesus never sought His but God´s will.

«Jesus therefore answered them, “Most assuredly, I tell you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father doing. For whatever things he does, these the Son also does likewise … I can of myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge, and my judgement is righteous; because I don’t seek my own will, but the will of my Father who sent me». (John 5:19,30).

Consecration to God requires a christian to consider God´s will in every situation so that all his actions and decisions are based on that. Person´s desire to do God´s will always and everywhere proves his consecration to God. Such desire has a huge impact on person´s attitude to the way he reads Bible, listens to sermons and God´s word, and moreover how and why he has fellowship with God. A consecrated believer´s relationships with God are not formal nor superficial, not driven by his or her religious duty. Such person seeks deep and personal fellowship with God, he is ready to pay a high price for. Such person is not seeking his will any more but the way to please God in any manner – in words, in works and in his thoughts.

3. Jesus had priorities when choosing whom to spend His time with.

«A multitude was sitting around him, and they told him, “Behold, your mother, your brothers, and your sisters are outside looking for you.” He answered them, “Who are my mother and my brothers?” Looking around at those who sat around him, he said, “Behold, my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.”».

(Mark 3:32-35).

How and with whom you spend your time reflect your consecration and desire to do God´s will. Looking at the life of Jesus, we can see whom He preferred to spend most of His time with, namely, those who similar to Him desired to do God´s will. If you surround yourself with people who are not going anywhere in this life, you will soon lose your purpose and direction in your life as well. Spending a lot of time with those who have no revelation about their lives soon also you won´t be able to see the goal of your life. Exactly these things happened to Abraham. God called him out of his country, his relatives and his father´s house to the land God showed to him.

«Now Yahweh said to Abram, “Get out of your country, and from your relatives, and from your father’s house, to the land that I will show you. I will make of you a great nation. I will bless you, and make your name great. You will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you. In you will all of the families of the earth be blessed.” So Abram went, as Yahweh had spoken to him. Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed out of Haran.». (Genesis 12:1-4).

In obedience to God Abraham headed off with Sarah. Lot went with him. Later Lot became an obstacle in Abraham´s life. When Abraham had entered the promised land, the same land he left his home and his parents for – he had not been able to hear the voice of God and see that land any more unless Lot left him. Your surrounding has an impact on you, it determines whether you enter the destiny God has prepared for you or you don´t, whether you fulfil your purpose received from God or you don´t. Think of it seriously today!

We will continue tomorrow.

Be abundantly blessed in the Lord!

  • Preparation of the way of the Lord

Today I would like to talk to you about the preparation of the way of the Lord. The preparation of the way precedes the coming of the Lord. Our readiness to meet God determines the actual experience with God. If we are not ready, we will be left outside of what God is doing. But if we are adequately prepared, we will be qualified to experience the visitation of the Lord. Let’s look the Scripture.
  • You have been created, redeemed and restored! You were born twice! II

All the consequence of sinful life, all the guilt, shame and limitations that have entered our life because of sin can be annulled only in Christ. In Christ we have gained new life and new opportunities. Now none of us can complain that he cannot realize his potential because of some past mistakes or difficult circumstances. God has declared us free from any consequences of sin. In Him you will realize all of your inner potential. In Christ God has given all of us a solution and a way out!
  • Be a good example for your children, your younger brothers and sisters!

Children watch and learn from us, and they will repeat what they have seen their parents do. For this reason we can say they being a parent is a calling and assignment from God; the task of a parent is to set correct patterns and show a right example for the children. When the woman from Canaan turned to Jesus in a time of distress she did not think that she is setting an example for her daughter of dealing with hard times. Our children need us not just ‘to talk the talk’, but to live in a correct way and demonstrate our convictions by our daily walk.
  • God desires to give you true success

As we said before, a successful person is the one who knows what God wants him to do in his life and has dedicated his life for doing God’s will. Human success is not measured by his social status, banc accounts, and influence in society, popularity or fame in this world. True success is measured by how successful he has been in doing God’s will.Think about it today! God desires to give you true success that can be found in learning and doing God’s will for your life. You are the one who determines what to do with your life: either seeking temporary pleasure and enjoyment or seeking the eternal values of God’s Kingdom and His will for your life.
  • There are three main types of believers: observers, consumers/users and servants!

What type of a believer are you? What are you: an observer, a user or a servant? Today we will attempt to establish what distinguishes observers and consumers from servants.Observes do not care for what goes on around them; they demonstrate indifference. What happens in church does not concern him; he thinks that he only needs to attend Sunday services. He is there for the worship and the sermon and it is enough for him. Such a believer has no problems; he is doing fine at work and at home. He simply observes the events around him and he is happy.
