The Kingdom of God II

Peace to you, dear readers of „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”!

I thank God for you and pray that this day will be filled with great victories over different circumstances in your life.

We began talking about the Kingdom of God. Yesterday we established that God wants to see His Kingdom spreading throughout this earth. God desires for the kingdoms of this earth to become the kingdom of God and Christ. We also realized that His Kingdom will surely come, but it is important for this to happen with you and me participating.

We are calling each believer to actively participate in the spreading of God’s Kingdom on this earth and to hold a position of an overcomer in Christ. In order to expand God’s Kingdom we need to fight and to put forth effort.

«And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force» (Mathew, 11:12).

It is impossible to establish God’s Kingdom in our hearts, our lives, our families, and all the spheres of our influence without putting forth particular effort. In order for God’s Kingdom to grow we will need to fight and to engage in warfare. So if you have made a decision to have part in the expansion of God’s Kingdom on this earth, you cannot be a passive observer. Only active people who have taken a position of overcomers in Christ are able to establish the Kingdom in their lives and around them.

There is no need to overcome, if there is nothing to overcome. We must realize that we are in the midst of a terrible spiritual fight. Indifference makes a person more vulnerable to the enemy.

«For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…» (2 Corinthians, 10:3-5).

We live or walk in the flesh, but we do not war according to the flesh. We are talking about spiritual war, not about physical wrestling. Let’s look at another fragment of Scripture:

«Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand» (Ephesians, 6:10-13).

This passage of Scripture points out several important truths.

Firstly, we do not simply war; we war in order to expand God’s Kingdom and to continue His work on this earth. Secondly, we do not war against people of flesh and blood, so our weapons must be spiritual and not physical. That is because «we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places». And so « the weapons of our warfare are not carnal».

Besides, it is very important to understand that we do not just war, but we war from the position of being overcomers in Christ.

We are not trying to win this war; the victory has already been won by Christ. In Him we have already overcome, and we must war from this position, having that kind of understanding. The Book of Revelation clearly states that only overcomers can inherit and expand the Kingdom of God.

«He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son» (Revelation, 21: 7).

The one who overcomes is the one who has a revelation of his victory in Christ, and, being armed with this revelation, he overcomes all hindrances on the way to the fulfillment of his mission from God.

If you want to be one of those people who expand God’s Kingdom, you must take your position as an overcomer in Christ Jesus. God has already done everything necessary for us to overcome every barrier on our way. He has done everything He needed to do to make us able to spread His Kingdom as soon as we receive this Kingdom ourselves.

We must learn the armor He has provided for this fight and be very diligent in using it. We will talk about it tomorrow.

Remember that in Christ you are victors and overcomers!

Be blessed!

Many people ask me: «If God is good, why does He allow so many tears, tragedies and sorrow in this world? If it´s not His merit then where does all the evil come from? Where does a tragedy come from? What is its source?» Honest and apparently innocent people that suffer want to know why and what are they suffering for. Consecrated, true believers that seek God with all their heart, and also suffer want to know why such things happen in their lives. People of all generations have asked these questions.

  • Accountability requires consistency and systematic approach

What does it mean? For example, I give account to someone once in six months, – it is a long period of time; I really can mess up during six months. So I need some structure or system that would allow me to give account regularly and systematically, at least once a week.

  • As believers in Christ we should learn to look at ourselves the way God looks at us!

The God´s word says we are pilgrims and aliens, therefore, do your best to see your selves as such. Doing so we will take after people seeking heavenly home, those who desire not to return to the place they have exited, rather longing for something better, namely, heaven. God is not ashamed of those who are filled with hope of salvation. He is gladly calls Himself their God, for He has prepared a city for them – a shelter to stay in safety during the storm, flood or hunger. • The principle of a right confession

God helped Abraham to believe Him, Who calls those things which do not exist as though they did. This is the principle of right confession. God calls those things that do not exist as though they did. When God gave Abram a new name – Abraham, he did not have any descendants. Neverthelss, because of this new name Abraham began calling himself “a father of many nations”. And when he called himself by name or he was called by others – every time what God had purposed was confessed – particularly that Abraham is going to be a father of many nations. We see that Abraham „contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations…”

  • What is actually the difference between resurrected life and having life abundantly?

Having repented your sins you are granted resurrected life, while life abundant is still hidden in God. You need the life abundant here, on this Earth. However, to have such life here on Earth we have to learn how to bring our heavenly possession on Earth. We have to have victorious life no matter what we do. Time we spend in fellowship with God is time when our resurrected life is being converted into life abundant.
