The Kingdom of God II

Peace to you, dear readers of „Daily Word for Spiritual Edification”!I thank God for you and pray that this day will be filled with great victories over different circumstances in your life.We began talking about the Kingdom of God. Yesterday we established that God wants to see His Kingdom spreading throughout this earth. God desires for the kingdoms of this earth to become the kingdom of God and Christ. We also realized that His Kingdom will surely come, but it is important for this to happen with you and me participating. We are calling each believer to actively participate in the spreading of God’s Kingdom on this earth and to hold a position of an overcomer in Christ. In order to expand God’s Kingdom we need to fight and to put forth effort.
«And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force» (Mathew, 11:12).
It is impossible to establish God’s Kingdom in our hearts, our lives, our families, and all the spheres of our influence without putting forth particular effort. In order for God’s Kingdom to grow we will need to fight and to engage in warfare. So if you have made a decision to have part in the expansion of God’s Kingdom on this earth, you cannot be a passive observer. Only active people who have taken a position of overcomers in Christ are able to establish the Kingdom in their lives and around them. There is no need to overcome, if there is nothing to overcome. We must realize that we are in the midst of a terrible spiritual fight. Indifference makes a person more vulnerable to the enemy.
«For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…» (2 Corinthians, 10:3-5).
We live or walk in the flesh, but we do not war according to the flesh. We are talking about spiritual war, not about physical wrestling. Let’s look at another fragment of Scripture:
«Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand» (Ephesians, 6:10-13).
This passage of Scripture points out several important truths.Firstly, we do not simply war; we war in order to expand God’s Kingdom and to continue His work on this earth. Secondly, we do not war against people of flesh and blood, so our weapons must be spiritual and not physical. That is because «we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places». And so « the weapons of our warfare are not carnal».Besides, it is very important to understand that we do not just war, but we war from the position of being overcomers in Christ. We are not trying to win this war; the victory has already been won by Christ. In Him we have already overcome, and we must war from this position, having that kind of understanding. The Book of Revelation clearly states that only overcomers can inherit and expand the Kingdom of God.
«He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son» (Revelation, 21: 7).
The one who overcomes is the one who has a revelation of his victory in Christ, and, being armed with this revelation, he overcomes all hindrances on the way to the fulfillment of his mission from God.If you want to be one of those people who expand God’s Kingdom, you must take your position as an overcomer in Christ Jesus. God has already done everything necessary for us to overcome every barrier on our way. He has done everything He needed to do to make us able to spread His Kingdom as soon as we receive this Kingdom ourselves. We must learn the armor He has provided for this fight and be very diligent in using it. We will talk about it tomorrow.Remember that in Christ you are victors and overcomers!Be blessed!Pastor Rufus Ajiboy

  • Sin is the root of the evil

«He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil» (1 John, 3:8).The devil deceived Adam and Eve who were reflecting the glory of God in the earth, because he hated God and all the things that brought glory to God. Adam and Eve were given a free will and a right to choose and they decided to disobey God and submit to the voice of the devil. That is how sin entered their life and the life of all of the generations after them. They gave themselves and their posterity into the hands of death. And since that time death has begun its reign over people.
  • What is calling? How to reveal personal calling and how to enter it?

Recognising of your calling and your task in this life is a process that consists of many small details. Quite often, people try to reveal their calling, while neglecting those small details that make the whole process. Nowadays, many people are unhappy because they either lack revelation for their life or oppose to such revelation, or simply lack understanding of how to fulfil the revelation. Let´s figure it all out.First thing to know is the fact that you were born to carry out a certain task. Bible says our life on this Earth has a goal and value determined. You are not a result of an accident! You were born on this Earth not just for the matter of occupying some space and breathing. You´ve got a mission to fulfil, a way to measure. You are created to take care for others and saved to minister. There many places in the Bible talking about this. We are going to elaborate the verse from Paul´s letter to Ephesians 2:10
  • God looks at what we do with what we already know

We are talking about the importance of knowing and doing God’s will. Yesterday we talked about the fact that God reveals His plans and intentions to us gradually as we reach particular levels of maturity and grow in our ability to accept what He has prepared for us. We also established that God reveals His will to those who are close to Him, seek His will and are willing to do His will. God looks at what we do with what we already know, and only then He will reveal the next part of His plan for our lives.
  • Apart from Him there is no true satisfaction and happiness! III

We will continue about Solomon’s search for happiness, satisfaction and the meaning of life. We have already discussed that in the beginning of his life Solomon sought God and loved him, and God gave him wisdom and riches, happiness and fulfilment in life. But Solomon got caught up with superficial things of this world and started to follow other gods. Solomon started seeking for happiness and satisfaction in things and activities. He found only disappointment in them and then he turned back to his beginning. The story of Solomon is a lesson to all of us; it tells us that the meaning of life, happiness and satisfaction cannot be found anywhere but in God alone. So we need to develop and strengthen personal relationships with God.
  • Presence of God

«For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth» (Exodus, 33:16).God’s presence makes us stronger and more glorious. If God’s presence is so necessary, then how can we experience it in our lives?
