Don’t serve those things over which you, suppose to dominate according to the will of God

Hello, dear friends!Thank God for this wonderful day that the Lord has granted unto us and thank God for yet another opportunity to be filled with the living word from Him!I would like to share with you today one vital lesson from the Gospel of Mark. 2:27-28:
“ And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: 28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath”
In this short statement of Jesus Christ there is a very important lesson hidden for us. God is saying here that the sabbath was made for man and not man for the sabbath. In life it is often possible to observe such a picture whereby those things over which man is meant to dominate are dominating over him instead. This distortion of the order established by God often results in many tragic problems in people’s lives today.Dear friend, how does this apply to your life? Are you in possession of things or they are in possession of you? Do you own things or they own you?In the Bible we are told that God gave dominion to man to use all things to the glory of God (Gen. 1:28). Are you ruling or exercising control over the things that God has placed under you or these things are rather ruling over you and controlling your life? For example, some people are under the complete control of cigarettes. Think once again about what the Lord is saying to us today: “…” The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath”Don’t become the servant of those things that should submit to you and serve you. This is the word of the Lord to you today: Don’t serve those things over which you are supposed to dominate according to the will of God.Money, alcohol, drugs, sex, pleasure, food, and many other things such as these ones-all of them should be under your feet. Don’t allow any of these things to dominate or rule over you. May God bless you today and give you understanding! Pastor Rufus Ajiboy

God wants us to cooperate with Him. His future and our future is a great, bright one. But we have to cooperate with Him to make sure this imagined future becomes a reality in our lives. It might be that today you look small in your own eyes, but God wants to give you a great future. And He does not keep us in ignorance about the prospects for the future, and for this very reason He gave us the Holy Spirit. One of the things that the Holy Spirit does is revealing the future God has prepared for us.
  • The things that you are ready to sacrifice or give up will determine what will come into your life

Yesterday we saw that God had asked Abram to leave his country, his father’s house and his relatives and to go to the land that He would show.“Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you” (Genesis, 12:1).
  • Your attitude influences your progress

The judgements, the beliefs, and the convictions of a person influence his attitude and this attitude has an effect on the progress we make. The man in the parable did not multiply his talent because he had the wrong attitude. This man believed lies rather than the truth. That is the lies which many people believe, which become an obstacle to their progress and development. The lies can go something like, “no one loves me”, then any attempt from people to show love towards you, will be rejected. A person believing in lies from the enemy will not be able to accept blessings, help, and advice from others, as all this would be misinterpreted.
  • Purpose for living VI

The story of Solomon is a lesson to all of us; it tells us that the meaning of life, happiness and satisfaction cannot be found anywhere but in God alone. So we need to develop and strengthen personal relationships with God.Today we will talk about how Solomon tried to find happiness and satisfaction in family life. «Life joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your vain life which He has given you under the sun, all your days of vanity; for that is your portion in life, and in the labor which you perform under the sun» (Ecclesiastes, 9:9).
  • If you want to enjoy God’s favour you must develop Godly character

We have found how the law of sowing and reaping as well as and our gratitude works to release the power of God’s favour in our lives. The last point i will like you to pay attention to is how a person’s character can slow down or speed up the favour of God in his or her life.If you want to have successes with God or with people you should become a person of Godly character.
  • The power of compassion

Today I would like to talk about the power of compassion. If we look at the life of Jesus as the image of God – and that is Who Jesus is, – we will see that Jesus was motivated by compassion. When we are moved by compassion, we can’t be idle and barren. Our world is full of problems and God is calling us to work to solve them. We are His representatives on the earth. We are the Body of Christ on earth, so anything that God wants to do here He does through us.Looking at the life of Jesus we see that He never was idle. Every time when He wanted to be alone and relax after long hours of ministry, people would find Him and ask for help. And He never rejected anybody. Many times we read in the Bible: «He had compassion and ministered to them». He went from town to town, because He was anointed to bring solutions where problems were.
