Is anything too hard for the Lord?

Greetings to you, dear friends!I am so happy to have this opportunity to share the Word of God with you today. I would like us to look at a story about Sarah, Abraham’s wife. Here we’ll find another very important principle of faith.
„And He said, „I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son.” (Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him.) Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, „After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?” And the Lord said to Abraham, „Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?’ „Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.” (Genesis, 18:10-14).
This story is very interesting because it talks about so many of us today. So very often we pray and pray and expect God to move, but, seeing no signs of changes in our situation, many of us accept it as the will of God and lose every desire to keep expecting a miracle. Possibly, a man won’t tell others that he does not believe in his miracle anymore, but inside he will say it loud and clear. That is what happened to Sarah. She did not say anything out loud, but inwardly she laughed, because she had decided that it is impossible. This laughter revealed to God what was happening in Sarah’s heart. She was asked then: „Why did Sarah laugh?” Sarah did not expect such a turn of events. God asks us this very important question just like He asked Sarah and we have to pay attention to it: „Is anything too hard for the Lord?” This question is so crucial because how we answer it will determine the measure of God’s involvement in our lives. This question helps us to realize that how much we know about God affects the level of our faith. When a person believes that there is nothing impossible for God, that person has a particular attitude towards life, a particular reaction to hardships, a particular spiritual attitude that appears when he or she runs into difficult problems that do not change for a long time.Is anything too hard for the Lord? Are there any situations in your life which the Lord cannot change? Are there any situations in your family, your ministry, your church, or your relationships which the Lord cannot change? Is there anything that God cannot change? No! There is nothing impossible for the Lord!Do not give up! Do not give up your faith in God’s miracle for your life! Keep believing that God will alter your situation and your circumstances. This is the time when you need to go on believing God and then those things that seem humanly impossible will change. Today God desires for you to believe that there is nothing impossible for Him.Despite the fact that Sarah laughed, God still promised to come back at the appointed time and that Sarah would have a son. The seed – her son – was the promise given by God to Abram a long time ago. We must not lose faith in the promise given to us by God despite the situation and circumstances around us.Keep praying, keep working on the promises, keep sowing them like a seed, keep watering them through right confessions. Keep expecting that in due time everything God promised you will come to pass and you will be able to give birth to these promises, just like it happened to Sarah. Remember that there is nothing impossible for God! It says in the Word of God that
“the things which are impossible with men are possible with God” (Luke, 18:27).
May God bless you today! Pastor Rufus Ajiboy

  • Apart from Him there is no true satisfaction and happiness! III

We will continue about Solomon’s search for happiness, satisfaction and the meaning of life. We have already discussed that in the beginning of his life Solomon sought God and loved him, and God gave him wisdom and riches, happiness and fulfilment in life. But Solomon got caught up with superficial things of this world and started to follow other gods. Solomon started seeking for happiness and satisfaction in things and activities. He found only disappointment in them and then he turned back to his beginning. The story of Solomon is a lesson to all of us; it tells us that the meaning of life, happiness and satisfaction cannot be found anywhere but in God alone. So we need to develop and strengthen personal relationships with God.
  • You make room for Him and His Word in your daily schedule

“Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.”According to the above passage, there is a process or protocol we need to follow if we want to see and experience the manifestations of God in our lives and in ministries. Now it is true that God is an omnipresence God. He is present everywhere at the same time. However, it is important to note that his presence is more real and felt in some places than anywhere else. What determines such a big difference? This is what I mean when I say we need to follow a protocol. Following the right protocol is what differentiates between the intensity of God’s manifest presence in our lives, home and churches.
  • Accountability allows us to submerge in Christ

Accountability makes us strong and unites us to the other believers; it also kills the “I am a lone island” thinking. This type of thinking has caused many problems that the Body of Christ still suffers from.God does not want you to be an island that is separated and independent of the other brothers and sisters in Christ. We are not only responsible to being accountable ourselves; we also need to call others to accountability and help them with it.
  • God wants to be our Friends

The Bible says that God called Abram His friend. God came to Abram and said that He cannot hide from him what He has purposed to do: «And the LORD said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing, since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice, that the LORD may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him”»(Быт.18:17-19)
  • God gives to everyone according to his or her ability

We all want more. We want our churches to have more people, but God – according to your ability – will give you what you can handle. God will be able to entrust you His blessings according to the level of your responsibility. For example, you are in a predicament and you think, „Why do I have to live through this?” But God knows that you can handle it. We often are not aware of how responsible or irresponsible we are, but God is. God knows the burden you are able to carry. You may think and say to yourself, «No, I am not able to bear this! I am not capable!» Until you actually go through it, you won’t be able to imagine what you are capable of.
  • Don’t ever allow anything or anybody to stop you from serving.

Friends, no matter how badly people or life itself has treated you, if you want to move ahead in life you have to learn how to focus on the right thing and chose the right life position. If despite all the odds of life you can still focus on using your gifts and talents; if you can still continue to serve people, then you will soon be able to change your status. That was exactly what happened to Joseph. As he served these two officers of pharaoh instead of concentrating on the offences of others, the door to his throne opened to him easily. Pharaoh sent for Joseph and fetched him out of the prison.
