Do not bury your miracle!

Greetings to you on the new page of «Daily Word for Spiritual Edification».Today I want to encourage you not to bury your dream, even when everything around you tells you that it won’t ever come true. There is such a thing as the power of resurrection. That is the word I want to bring to you.We started talking about a woman whose hospitality and generosity brought a miracle into her life, and as a result she gave birth to a son.
«And the child grew. Now it happened once day that he went out to his father, to the reapers, and he said to his father, “My head, my head!” So he said to a servant, „Carry him to his mother.” When he had taken him and brought him to his mother, he sat n her knees till noon, and then died. And she went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God, shut the door upon him, and went out. Then she called to her husband, and said, „Please send me one of the young men and one of the donkeys, that I may run to the man of God and come back.” So he said, „Why are you going to him today? It is neither the New Moon nor the Sabbath.” And she said, „It is well.” Then she saddled a donkey, and said to her servant, „Drive, and go forward; do not slacken the pace for me unless I tell you.” And so she departed, and went to the man of God at Mount Carmel. So it was, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to his servant Gehazi, „Look, the Shunammite woman! Please run now to meet her, and say to her, „Is it well with the child?” And she answered, „It is well”. (2 Kings, 4:18-26).
This is a very curious passage of Scripture, which describes the woman’s behaviour. The miracle she had received from the Lord had died. When a person dies, he is usually buried. But here we see that this woman made a firm decision not to bury her miracle from God. After her son died she put him on the bed of the man of God and went to see Elisha. Death of a child is the worst news for a mother. Today we are surrounded by a multitude of bad news that hinders people from focusing their attention on the good news that are also around us.This woman decided not to pay attention to the bad news. This is what God wants to teach you today – for you to focus on the good news and not on the bad ones that the world is full of. This woman did not bury her son because she knew about the power of resurrection. She went to the man of God and when she arrived there she did not say one negative word. She said to her husband that all was well; she said to the man of God that all was well, even though her son had died. What does this tell us? It tells us that she was absolutely sure her child would be alright as soon as she met the man of God, and that is why she refused to bury her son.Abraham acted in a similar way. When God commanded Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, he told his servants that they would go to worship the Lord and then they would both come back (Genesis, 22: 5). Regardless of the fact that God told him to sacrifice his son, Abraham was convinced that he would come back to his servants and that Isaac would be there with him. Why? Because Abraham knew for sure that the miracle God had given him – his son of promise – could be raised up again by God.  That is how it happened, and he received his son back again.
«By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, of whom it was said, “In Isaac our seed shall be called,” concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense» (Hebrews, 11:17-19).
Today God is saying to us that we should not give up easily and should not bury our miracles because God has the power of resurrection. Even if it seems to you that your dream has died, do not give up; stay in faith and hold on to the power of God, which is able to resurrect your miracle. Do not bury your miracle!May God bless you today! Pastor Rufus Ajiboy

All things we have mentioned so far are connected together. Life is time, life is a goal, life is a test, life is trust, and now life is short. This world as we know it now is not your home. God has a New Heaven and a new earth. The kingdom and the system of this world will be overthrown so that it becomes the Kingdom of our God and His Christ. Your life itself is regarded as a vapour that appears for a little time.
  • Jesus transforms those that follow Him III

We must keep God’s call to change right before our eyes as one of the most important goals. As soon as we come to God and enter His Kingdom, the desire to change and grow into the likeness of Jesus should be our single desire and our daily bread. And when we start changing, the things around us will change along with the inward changes we experience. Then the most awful situation will change for better and terrible problems will be solved. All of this will happen along with the transformation of our character in the process of the spiritual growth.
  • The counselling IV

Let’s talk about another quality Jethro possessed: he did not pressure Moses to accept his advice. We can see in the Scripture, which I would like us to look at:«If you do this thing, and God so commands you, then you will be able to endure, and all this people will also go to their place in peace» (Exodus, 18:23).We can see here that Jethro did not demand Moses to accept his advice, but gave him a chance to make a choice himself. The phrase “if you do this thing” means that even if Moses did not listen to Jethro, he would not be upset. So he knew he could not take it personally if Moses chooses a different way.

  • We are the new creation in Christ Jesus, made for good deeds the Lord has determined for us

«For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works …» (Ephesians 2:10).God has created you with a purpose. We are created and made for ministry on this Earth. Life without purpose is similar to a movement without a direction. Once we clarify who we are in God and what He has done for us – we immediately realise why we are here in this world. So we are made for good works.
  • God gives to everyone according to his or her ability II

You have a talent that matches your ability to handle it, and God desires for you to multiply it. It will affect your future. What you have from God today will determine your place in eternity. Your eternal reward will depend on what you have been doing with your talents. You can either bury your talents or multiply them. You can return to God your talent that He gave you, and say to Him that you did not succeed. You can simply complain about your life and not even try changing or accomplish something in your life.or you can invest your talent and expand His kingdom with it, everything depend on you.«After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them» (Mathew, 25:19).
